Visited 5/4/17 around 330pm. I was extremely disappointed with my first experience here and I really wanted to give them 1 star, but if I would be completely honest with myself the food was decent so I had to give them 2. What made my experience so bad was from the moment I stepped in the door I didnt feel welcomed. There were two women leaning on the counter, one was very heavy set and just stared at me and the other eventually spoke. Early on I gathered that the heavy set lady had been working there a while and was training the lady with glasses. I ordered a 5 piece chicken that came with 1 side. I added an extra side and a cheesecake. I paid for my food and then sat and waited. I got into a brief conversation with another patron who was also trying this place out for the first time. Not long after we started talking my order was called. I paused for a second thinking back to how I had read reviews saying orders took a while to prepare because all their chicken is supposedly fried the moment you order. Nonetheless, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed I had been sitting there longer than I had. I got my food and asked for hot sauce. The heavy set lady looked at me with a blank stare and seemed to reluctantly hand me over 4 packs of hot sauce. She mustve changed her mind and put back one; finally handing me a total of 3 hot sauce packs for a five piece chicken. I forgot to mention; while I waited for my order I noticed the heavy set lady staring at me off and on. She seemed to have some kind of an issue or attitude problem. A patron entered the restaurant and had left the door ajar and she actually TOLD me to close the door. She continued to lean on the counter and displayed a very apathetic and careless disposition throughout the whole time that I was there. Finally, I left with my three packs of hot sauce and food. I got on the road and reached into the box of chicken to find that my chicken HAD NOT been fried to order. It was lukewarm. If it had been made fresh I would have barely been able to break a piece off and sample it. The taste was decent but my whole point in going there was to get hot, fresh chicken. At this point I wanted to turn around and take the food back but I decided not to. I hate causing a scene and I dont know maybe I read most of these reviews wrong maybe their chicken isnt always made to order. Who knows? The chicken was tasty and the side dishes were decent but I was just so disappointed that there is someone working in there that seems like she brings down the establishment; not to mention my cold chicken that could not possibly have been made fresh. The funny thing is before I ordered I actually told the two women I decided to try the chicken because I had read good reviews, etc. So for them to give me the chicken that I saw sitting under the heatlamp when I walked in was just a total slap in the face as a first time patron. And thats it folks. I dont try places a second time. You had the opportunity to gain a lifelong customer and failed by having careless people working in your reataurant. What I find interesting is that in the other reviews I read I saw where at least one other person had issue with the larger lady. The owner responded claiming it was a one time incident but obviously its not. If you want your establishment to thrive even more than it is; hire staff that will be consistent in their customer service. At this point there is nothing you can do to win me over as a loyal patron. However, I will take a refund if one is offered.

After weeks of seeing them post on Facebook, I decided to give them a try. From the outside, you get the "hole in the wall" type of feel but when you walk in it looks like a professional establishment with a friendly atmosphere. You are promptly greeted upon entry in a place that is sparkly clean and well kept. Their menu offers visual representation of each of their food items, which is great for a new comer like myself, as well as a below average price from their competitors. I opted for the Philly Cheese Steak combo. For the $6.99 price, you get what looks like a foot long philly sub, a good helping of fries, and a drink. Its almost double that price at other places. The philly cheese steak itself was "melt in your mouth" good. Its hard to find a good philly in town and this is probably the best there is. I was remarkably surprised by the awesome food at amazing prices. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

I visited once before a few years back and was not pleased at all with the chicken I had ordered. I didnt leave a bad review because the customer service was pretty good. My most recent visit was late night on my way home from work around 1 am. I ordered the philly and some whole wings. The wings were small but tasted great! There was a 100% difference in the taste compared to my first experience. The philly was outstanding! I do plan on going back and if the food is as good the next time I visit as it was tonight then crown will have a new regular customer. I will also let people know that the chicken really is as good as people say it is. Thank you for not making me regret giving u guys a second chance I had a long day today and I just wanted some comfort food to eat before hitting the bed tonight, Ive been hearing a lot of good buzz about you guys recently so I figured I would try again and Im glad I did.

I say its ok bcuz it has a good location on murchison rd its been clean each time Ive been there however considering it IS on murchison rd this neighborhood financially speaking is not rich BUT the prices on the chicken are high... but thats not to take away from the place bcuz it is cooked to order fresh fried chicken & its tasty but if all I want is chicken then while Im shopping at Walmart on murchison I can go to hardees in same parking lot & get a $5 box plus a drink lol $5 will get your feelings hurt at crown & DONT expect a drink & a side ijs... so you chose....good homemade fresh fried chicken from crown OR a Hardee meal with change to spare ijs

Disgusting! I will never come here again. When this place first opened not sure it was called crowns but the food was great. Now? Its like premade chicken, the frozen already battered kind, where u bite in and realize it tastes funny, might not be real chicken wings, and has more sorry @$$ breading than actual chicken. They completely rid themselves of quality for double the price. Its not worth even looking at as u pass by. Never go here again. Time savor on the opposite end of Murchison does waaayyy better for less and 99% of the time I dont even eat convenient Mart food especially in shady areas.

Went here after a client suggested it to me. Food is good. The service is A+ because the ladies working there are very nice and approachable. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the chicken is on the small size. Dont ask me to explain youll have to see for yourself but chicken is kind of small and the person that referred me to tell me that in advance. Give them a try. Next visit Im getting that Red Velvet Slice.
