This is hands down the best sushi I have ever had, been eating here for over a decade. Ive tried around 35-40 sushi restaurants on the east coast (primarily CT and NY) over the last 10 years and I find myself consistently driving 40 minutes to go eat here. The sushi is always fresh, the taste feels elevated compared to other places. We try to go at least once a month. Every time I go I get at least a Spicy Tuna roll (most places use frozen tuna for their spicy tuna paste, here they use fresh so the rolls are mostly red not orange), Spicy Scallop roll (smooth and delicious), Philadelphia roll (they add chives to it, fantastic with smoked salmon and cream cheese), Eel and Avocado roll (its a dragon roll but $6 instead of $10). Other things to note, their Miso soup is AMAZING. I like the Beef Negimaki, I order as a 6 piece appetizer all the time. They have THE BEST Sesame Chicken Ive ever had, beats the pants off any Chinese restaurant. (And thats saying something they have David Chens next door). Only get it to eat there, if its for a long car trip or long delivery that takes some of the wow factor out of the crispy chicken. If you are looking for a sushi meal you will not forget anytime soon check them out. Kira of Armonk is and will always be the tops for me. -Jonathan

Me and my boyfriend was in the mood for some Chinese food and the plan was to go to Davin Chen next door but unfortunately they where having a private party so we end up here. the place seems nice. We looked at the menu and we thought it was great that they have some Chinese dishes in the menu so we ordered the lettuce wraps with chicken, house special fried rice with beef, the grand marnier shrimp and general tsos chicken. Were excited for the food but unfortunately the flavors of all dishes is not what we expected. it was bland and the flavors was off the food didnt taste what it is supposed to be it didnt taste bad but its off putting..... lesson learned do not go to a sushi place and order Chinese food...

We go to Kira at least once a week. The staff know us and know what we like. They are very friendly once they know you. New staff take a while to learn the routine. Fish is always fresh, the rice is seasoned perfectly and their ponzu sauce is the best Ive ever had. Order the live scallop for a real treat! Eddie, the manager is happy to work with you on any special events or parties.

Used to love this place but in the last year I noticed quality started to lapse and then my husband and I got the worst food poisoning ever from this place. We cant pinpoint exactly what it was (dish-wise) since we shared food but people beware! I never thought I would get food poisoning from Kira and now Im turned off forever

The new dining room decor and revamp is a tranquil setting. The food is fresh and possibly the best sushi in westchester. The lunch special that runs until 4 pm is a great early dinner for those weekdays.

good spot for a lunch, however way you want it (takeout, delivery, sit-down). the portions for the lunch special are fairly large, and its your average not-really-japanese japanese cuisine.
