My family and I have frequented this place for years, seams like since it first opened, I have always loved it and recommended it to people. The food, atmosphere, and service have always been top notch, therefore I hate to rate this place at only a 1, and thats only because the food was and always has been good. So we arrive on a Sunday night about 7:00 pm, place is not very busy surprisingly but anyways we had a party of 6 , we were seated and our server took drink orders and after bringing drinks then took our meal orders. As usual they will wait a few minutes to see if they can fill any other seats at the table, until then we enjoyed our soup and salad that was very good as usual. Everything was as normal until our chef arrived. At that point is where our experience went down hill, and prompted my decision to write this review. Now before I go on I would like to point out that My family and I are frequent diners of hibachi style restaurants sometimes twice a month or so, we love the food and the experience and believe that along with Great food the show and interaction from your chef is one of the aspects of your dining experience that should be at the top of their priority list. This night it WAS NOT !!!! You would have thought that our chef was in a race to see how fast he could cook our food, instead of preparing food in courses as they typically do, he tried to cook it all at one time, the very first thing put on my plate was my filet, no rice no vegetables no sauce, and virtually no show or customer interaction, litterly from the time he started cooking to the time he left maybe 7 - 8 minutes you would have thought that you were having your filet and scallops cooked by a short order cook at a diner, there was soo much food all over our table that missed the plates it was truly disappointing, I even had to ask a passing by chef for some ginger sauce because our chef said he was out.. I can go on but I assume that you get the point by now. To sum up my experience I spent $200.00 plus dollars on dinner for 4 adults and 2 children, which in my mind is expected cost wise but with the number of hibachi style restaurants around I will be spending my money elsewhere from now on... BY FAR A HORABLE EXPERIENCE !!!

There is an automatic service charge included in the bill of 15% for parties of 1-3, and 18% for parties of 4 or more; I found this after being served salmon that was browning, and more orange than pink. I, literally, had to debate that salmon should only be pink (meat) and white (fat) with, both, the server and the manager. Salmon that is more orange is usually farmed and not wild, which is fine were it not turning brown. To their credit, after 5 minutes of debate, and stating I wouldnt pay for the salmon on the sashimi platter, the restaurant took the sake off my bill... because sake is cheaper than salmon. A $96, 19 liter box of sake enough for 107 6oz pours. At $7, that is $749. The restaurant can make $653 per box of sake, that is why sake is easy to give away. Generally ok environment, visually appealing with good music. Most of the food is good, though the tofu used for miso is too hard and I would suggest using softer tofu. When my friend and I were ready to leave, it was hard to get the attention of the waiter or manager on duty for the bill; they seemed happy to help the other customers, though. We werent impolite, just unhappy with quality and service. Im not going back unless, practically, forced to.

THANK YOU YUKI FOR A GREAT PARTY! We had planned a retirement party for a co-worker and decided after a month of planning our choice would be yuki. WOW! It was the best choice ever. Let me start by giving great thanks to Cleo the manager and Lisa, these two girls went above and beyond any service weve ever had. With worries of planning a good party, Cleo and Lisa as well as all the other staff made sure all our needs were met. Our party guests of about 60 had a great time and really enjoyed themselves. Cleo and Lisa, made the guest feel comfortable and at home. Throughout the party guests kept coming to us and saying great choice, and that the service as well as the entertainment their chef provided was beyond their expectations. We received service fit for a king and queen. Some of the guest stated this was their first time at a Japanese steak house and it was quiet a treat. All of our guests had a great time, and our party was the best ever. It will be a send off our co-worker will never forget. Yuki will be our choice of future parties, as well as bringing my family for dinner sometimes. If you have never been to Yuki give them a try you will go back. Thanks again for the great service and food. - Kristie C.

We have eaten here several times before. Ate in the dining room and ordered a hibachi meal and a chicken fried rice. The chicken hibachi portion half what we usually get and what you would get in the hibachi room. The portion could fit in a Small to go container. Food was okay though fairly bland, but the service was good. Whe the bill came they added a 15% service charge. I knew they charged gratuity on tables of 4 or more which I dont think is good business but I read it on the menu and since it was just 2 of us it didnt really matter. I asked about it and they said they charge 15% for parties of 1-3. We ALWAYS tip 20% or more but I dont appreciate being forced to pay a service charge. Most people probably dont read their bills and tip above and beyond that. I told the manager werent going to be forced to pay a service charge because tipping is optional and he removed it. Its a shame that a company will try to scam their customers. We wont be back.

My husband and I eat at Yuki regularly. We eagerly awaited its opening last year and were pleased when to find a very nicely designed interior and friendly staff. There is a very large area for hibachi, and the chefs always seem very lively and interesting. We only go for sushi, so we eat at the sushi bar. The sushi is extremely good - fresh, light and plenty of choices. They also have a very comprehensive sake menu. I call Yuki our great "suburban sushi" find. The staff is incredibly friendly and gracious. We have never had a bad experience. The only complaint I have is ambiance - the sushi bar is in right in the main path of traffic, which leads to the hibachi room. So it can be loud and distracting. And, the lighting is very bright and harsh. So it never feels "intimate." But that is something we gladly trade for the delightful staff and wonderful sushi. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Gratuity is included so you are highly likely to not receive great service. Ive been going there for a few years on and off when in the area. I had a bad experience one time where the server ignored me completely after serving me. I wanted to order drinks ave waited so long I didnt even bother. I has been there since because I figure ok thats the first time. I went there again last night and the experience was twice as bad. This male server was probably serving almost everyone in the restaurant. He kept rushing right past us, never ever checked on us. We asked for a drink menu and he never bothered to check on what we would like to drink. I was the one who had to stop him while he was at another table to ask for our check because we were done eating for a while and NEVER came to us. I will NEVER visit that place again, ever. I had to demand my check without having to wait on it.
