I dont know how busy this place usually is. My family went for lunch when they werent busy, and the food arrived fairly quickly. Service was friendly as well. We ordered ramen, and both the tonkotsu and miso soup were wonderful, as were the noodles. I wish the chashu pork slices were softer and more tender like at some of the other Japanese ramen places I had elsewhere in the country, but the soup and noodles were as good as any that Ive had, and its mainly the soup and the noodles that make the ramen. The ramen vegetables and ramen toppings were superb also. This is a place I would definitely frequent if I lived and worked in Bakersfield.

One of the few places that doesnt churn my insides from the MSG, definitely a good place for Japanese cuisine. I usually order the Tonkotsu Ramen with extra toppings such as deep fried chicken. My only gripe with this place is that its $3 for a soft drink. The money youd save on drinks would be enough to buy an appetizer for the table, or even a whole meal. Wait times can be a little long for food as well, but Id rather them take their time and make it right then send it out sloppily. Overall, Id still recommend this place as the food is good and overshadows the smaller complaints.

Its nothing to toot about but at least its the first Ramen restaurant in town. Maybe if they can make the broth a bit better and the noodles made fresh like any other ramen place, it might get better ratings. The broth, to me, tasted a bit on the sour side. Maybe it had too much soy sauce put in. The noodles was a bit hard. Maybe cook it a bit longer. I hope the owner reads all the comments and adjust to what the customers are saying, maybe it will stay afloat or better yet it might get better reviews and locals will come back for more.

My grandma and I went here for dinner last night and we had no idea how to order, our server Mark or Matt (I dont remember) helped us in the right direction and explained how to order. We ordered the California roll and sushi combos with the pork bone ramen. It was superb. I got full so I took some home, well after reheating it this morning it is still just as fantastic! We will definitely be coming back on a regular basis!

Waited for 10 minutes on an unclean table, there was one girl managing the front and ZERO WAITERS! No one absolutely no one paid attention to us. Another couple ditched before us, nobody was paying attention to them too. Do not open a restaurant if you cannot accomodate people. Doesnt matter how good your food is if theres no one to serve poplepeople are gonna leave! Will never go back here ever! 0 for customer service!

Food is good. I was very satisfied with the flavor, size and consistency of the pork broth ramen bowl. Service was nice and quick. Price of ramen was fine ($8), but the price of the upgrades is quiet ridiculous $1.5 got boiled egg, $1 to add corn, $1 to add butter $1 fish cake $1 seaweed. They should consider changing the pricing structure else a bowl of $8 ramen turns into a $20 bowl of add-ons.

I love this place! Their Ramen soup and noodles are both delicious. The portions are of good size, the price is right and everybody in my family is happy with their order. Its a win, win, win for me! This is the ONLY place I order Tofu and like it. Our waiter Chris was so friendly and "Johnny on the Spot", he made our meal an even happier one. I definitely would recommend this place! !

The best ramen outside of LA, and the perfect place to grab a quick bowl of the savory noodle soup. I highly recommend adding the Kamisama toppings and an extra egg because they are so good. Hopefully, they keep innovating and adding different styles of ramen to their menu because I really think they can become an LA-caliber ramen shop.

The food was super delicious! Our waitress was nice and attentive. She was able to modify a ramen bowl to satisfy our picky children. However, I have to knock them down two stars because they were really slow (the cooks). We waited almost an hour for our food with hungry impatient children. Great food horrible time management.

The food is awesome yummy fresh and made as soon as you order it. Never been disappointed or displeased it is always slow so you get to sit right away and your food is always delicious. Maybe I shouldnt write such a good review so it stays slow lol but I dont want them to go under. Really good we were very impressed!

This place is awesome! I always order the Tonkatsu Ramen. It consistently tastes great! And you can always add any toppings that you want with it (for additional cost) and will always be worth it for the price! Ill go there again for my birthday. Thank you for a delicious meal, always!

I loved this place. It took a while to order but they acknowledged our presence and apologized for the wait. The male at the front desk offered great service and was constantly keeping communication with us about our food. He is a great character, wish I wouldve gotten his name.

Noodles over cooked, No garlic, chile or giner at our table. They charge for the egg that is usually in the ramen. Soup not Authentic. Service not very friendly and wait for service was too long. I will continue to drive to LA little Tokyo for my Authentic Japanese Ramen.

Im so glad we finally got a ramen house in Bako! I got the vegetarian ramen with tofu and it was really good; a nice complex salty-sweet broth and perfectly chewy noodles. The food here is significantly better than the asian places that previously occupied the space.

Ramen is supposed to be made with all components together. Mine tasted like they cooked the broth then threw in the ingredients, since my noodles were cold. The egg was nearly rotten and the meat was flavorless. Fried rice was good, but overpriced for quantity you get.

Great place to try something new. The Miso broth had great flavor and if you have remaining broth with no noodles left, you can get a side dish of additional noodles finish the bowl. Prime spot for these Winter months in Bakersfield.

I used to go to LA with friends on weekends just to get ramen and bento boxes. Never doing that again. The food taste so delicious and succulent; it beats most stores Ive visited. Thank you so much for opening here in Bakersfield.

Expensive, especially when you start adding toppings. I paid nearly $20 for lunch. The eggs are hard boiled, not soft. Ramen gets cold quickly. Mark, who I believe is the owner, will make attempts to make things right though.
