We were a party of 3 waiting to be seated, after a min we learnt we have to take any table available. Most of the tables were dirty and there was no one to clean or take our orders. There was no sign board how to proceed. Saw a customer heading to the cash register, so i followed him. On my turn i was shown a menu and had to go to my table to get our order. Placed the order and was told food will arrive shortly. After 25 mins and talking to the casher cum food runner several times out food arrived. I asked for nappkins silverware and water and was shown 3 different locations to help my self. This is it, we were dissapointed at zero service and were eating on a dirty table. Never will i go there again as the food was also not up to the mark. An hr later my stomach was hurting and i was un easy. I had to vomit it all out. Thank u dosa hut, no service, cheap foam ware, horrible food.

Noooooo. No no no. Food poisoning. Thought it was a fluke the first time. Went back a second time and its definitely this place. Both my husband and I got violently ill after eating here. We frequent 27 Mart next door and thought awesome! Lunch and grocery shopping! No. Not anymore. We skip this place. The food is bland and sits out with flies and those little annoying fruit fly things buzzing all over the place. How do I know? Because they buzz around the customers when theyre there. Buffet is laughably small and ends at a certain time and you can only order like 2 things off the menu when that happens because theyre out of everything else. Imagine. Staff has no personality and mumbles. There are way better Indian restaurants to spend your money at that give you incredible food. This is not one of those places.

Food quality is not consistent, every time one or the other food item had issue. Management is not much motivated towards improvement or providing good quality food. They are providing Very cheap set of cutlery to customers, cant image how poor utensils they may be using in prep of food. We ordered Maysor Masala Dosa, it was excessively hot. Sambhar was watery with very less salt and vegetables. Also Samosa chat was without any taste. We decided not to give more business to this place until following - Add proper food plates and cutleries - Consistency in food quality - Proper customer service and cleanliness Until then this place is definitely NOT advisable to visit nor to suggest.

Very good place to eat. Some reviews are really horrifying. But the place is not that bad. I dont know why they described it so bad. The service is really good. Food is awesome. Cant say any more about the taste of the food. Its the best South Indian food Ive had in USA. Felt like having it in India. Very sincere and nice owner. They work really hard. The place offers you so much for the money you spend here. Its a fast food restaurant. We find the same ambience in McD or some other food chains. People adjust over there. For the kind of food and price they are offering, for me the ambience is best. Best for Students. Loved it.. Going back again and again.

I dont understand why this place has so many 5 star reviews. Me and my girlfriend went there for Sunday lunch. There was zero customer service, drinks do not get served to you, instead, there is a water cooler with foam cups by it, which we were never told about. The plates and utensils are cheap foam and plastic as well with cafeteria trays. The buffet is very small, check out the gallery pictures on the website and you will understand. On top of all that the food was not that good, it was lacking rich flavor that you usually get at an Indian restaurant. Do not trust these 5 star reviews.

Im on the same page as Joe here. The amount of 5 star reviews complete with raving comments of why this place is worth a visit to Tampa alone is pretty suspect. The food did not have rich flavor (or...flavor at all, really) typical of Indian cuisine, and the selection was limited. Styrofoam plates and cups by a water cooler, plastic silverware, and no interaction with any staff whatsoever was also the norm. Overall, it felt like they cheaped out on everything to save a buck. There are much better options for good Indian food in the area, trust me.

This is a fast food restaurant, and should not be compared with a regular dining restaurant where waiting services are provided. Here, the customer is expected to self-serve water, saambhar and chutney so I dont understand why someone gave a bad review because they were not served water at their table. Overall it is a good value. The food is tasty - has authentic South Indian food taste and the prices are reasonable. Even though waiting services are not available, the staff was very helpful - they even served us saambhar at our table.

This restaurant has well-priced, excellent food with a very friendly and attentive staff. Informal dining (no glass plates or cups) with plenty of booth seating and can handle a large group. I highly recommend the buffet, check out the hours for it on the website listed here. If you love Indian flavors, this is definitely a place you must try. And if you love spicy food like I do, feel free to request it (ask for mysore), but be careful! Recommended for a tasty meal that won’t sit heavy in your gut.

where should I begin. The restaurant is awful, awful in the sense that its untidy. Unclean. Unfurnished. The second I walked in, I knew it was a mistake. But I drove so far, so I decided to order. The food was ready in about 25 minutes. I took it to go. I got home, opened the food boxes, an item was missing. The food itself was horrible. Dosa like this? It was crunchy , hard, stale, old. Nothing about it was good. I am surprised the restaurant is still running. Horrible place. Do NOT go.

If you want auntentic home-like food, then you are at the right place. Each dish is prepared well and of good quality. @8.99$ for a tasty buffet. Please dont go there for silverware etc. Help yourself, have some amazing food and head back satisfied. If you dont like the ambience, get take out. Suggestion: Making some improvement in service & ambience will keep a lot more folks happy. Definitely the best Indian/Vegetarian in North Central FL. I would highly recommend it for the food.

My wife and I went here today for the first time. We have been vegetarian for almost 20 years and I can tell you that this is probably one of 3 places in Tampa with the best Indian food. We spoke to the owner who is such a humble and genuine person. I felt like I was walking into a family members house when I came here. It is a must try and you will become a regular. We moved to Riverview, but I will be going here whenever I am in the area. Thank you for the great service and food.

Very bare bones room, no ambiance, decor, or music. Some buffet items are flavorful, raita was watery. Some staff is helpful, some eating or sweeping even though clients are waiting. Perhaps it is a cultural thing, but I get the feeling they are barely making the minimum effort. Styrofoam cafeteria plates and no water or drinks offered. Broken TVs, fans, and soda machines, cracked upholstery. The eggplant and chickpea curries were tasty. $10 credit card minimum.
