ABSOLUTEMY AWFUL. The three of us sent back our hibachi filet mignon steak/chicken and fried rice after just two bites. The steak was so overly seasoned, you couldntntaste the steak! The fried rice was gummy and overly rich with seasoning. It also had a strange, fake char-grill taste. It was horrid. Worst fried rice weve ever had! My husband said "Ive eaten with Afghan men who wipe their butts with their bare hands and then shared a plate of rice, eaten with our fingers, and it still tasted better then this rice!![while deployed]" No discount or refund was given. The manager didnt even come out and ask what was wrong. Starving, we then ordered sushi thinking that couldnt get messed up. Wrong. The rice was overly seasoned with rice wine vinegar. The only thing we could get through eating was steamed gyoza and and the mediocre spicy tuna roll. The waitress was very nice and obviously felt bad that management did nothing for us. WE WILL NEVER COME BACK.

Tomo has a decent selection of sushi including the usuals along with Tomo-only creations. There are usually a couple of chef-specials posted too. Their gyoza (I get steamed-pork) is *VERY* good, almost addictive! My wife doesnt care for sushi, but the hibachi menu is quite good too. The only nit-picky complaint I can muster is they do not have a soda fountain -- just canned sodas. They do make their tea fresh and it got a thumbs-up (not too strong, not too weak). Plus, they also have Kirin, Sapporo and a few other beers (bottles only). The folks there are really nice and its obvious that they want you to have an enjoyable meal. They are attentive to your table but they dont smother you. If you are looking for Japanese place that is excellent at a very good price, you should give Tomo a try - I seriously doubt you will have *any* regrets.

My husband and I went here for dinner as a last min date night idea. we ordered quickly. Got my soup which tasted like someone poured tangy sauce and mixed it up. Ive had miso soup before it isnt suppose to taste that way. My biggest complaint and this will make me never come back again is. The sauce they gave me with my bento box was suppose to be eel sauce. What I got tasted like someone took the sponge they clean on the grill and squeezed the juice into my cup. Anything I dipped into it tasted like charcoal water. I was completely disgusted. Im not sure when their last health inspection was but maybe they need to be paid a visit.

This is our favorite restaurant in Georgia, hands down. We go there often for all sorts of occasions, and also just because. Their sashimi and sushi are so fresh every single time we go. For fish this fresh, other sushi restaurants charge at least two to three times the price. All their other dishes are really good too. Most of our friends just absolutely love their hibachi and fried rice. Great friendly service, cozy clean restaurant. You really cant beat the overall experience and the price!

This restaurant needs to clean up. I can smell fish distinctly and there are flies everywhere. A little boy who looked like owners son was walking around with a flyswatter. Nobody greeted the customers as they walked in or served them. Miso soup was hardly even lukewarm. The rock n roll roll was hard and dry. It is supposed to be hot and crunchy. The price and taste of food was okay as there was a lunch special of two rolls for $7.95 and three rolls for $10.95.

Tomo is an amazing little secret hidden by Publix. The sushi is fresh and the chef creations are outstanding. Friendly fast service simply adds to the experience. You cannot beat the portions or the price here. We do our best to get there once a week. We have tried many of the sushi offerings in the area but always come back to Tomo.

First visit here. There were items on the menu that were not what they said they were. There were multiple items on the menu that they did not provide any longer. And the spring rolls were actually egg rolls. When asked I was told they only have egg rolls. Prices were good. The food was good also.

Only thing I wish is if this place was larger. It is always packed out! We do take out for that reason. The prices for the quality of food is the best. I was raised in Tokyo and it about the most authentic in the city and most other cities. The staff remember me and are nice people.

Food quality is very good! Sushi chef does a nice very nice job! The staff is tenitive and polite!! Clean and nicely decorated! Little small, little loud and the lighting could be improve ... But I am not eating the lighting! Best around Newnan for sure! We love it!

The sushi is awesome however a roach crawled from under my plate and another one was crawling on the table. The manager came and killed it and tried to tell me it was a spider. No mam that is clearly a roach. Needless to say I did not finish my food I got up and left.

This place was alright. The service was great. The temperature of the restaurant was on the warm side. The quality of the food was decent though there are better options in the area for hibachi and sushi. Cost was inline with quality and quantity of the food.

The best sushi ever hands down! Presention and quality is unparalled. The Monster roll is like an orgasm of flavor in your mouth. This place is pretty popular so if you go on Fri or Sat night dont expect to be seated right away. You will not be disappointed.

Tomo is my favorite restaurant. The food is always perfect and the staff is very friendly, and mostly from the family or the owner. The sushi and handrolls are wonderful, as well as the hibachi options, even though everything is cooked in the kitchen.

Sushi? Sashimi? Tempura? In Newnan? How good can it be? ... VERY good. Ive travelled the country for work, and this is my favorite Japanese restaurant, bar none. Shame on the real estate lady not telling us about Tomo and Star of India sooner! :)

I dont know what all the hype is about this place. Waitresses always seem to be pushing you out the door so they can serve the next guest. Sushi is just ok. Not impressed with the salad dressing. Bento box was good.

Tomo has the best sushi in the Coweta-Fayette area. Jerry and Ellen are the owners and have created a very warm and friendly sushi cafe. They also served cooked dishes for those that do not eat sushi.

Really great Japanese food. It can be a bit crowded so we try to go at off times. Food taste fresh and comes out hot. Typically have good service despite crowds. One of my favorites as a local.

This is probably the best Japanese restaurant in the Newnan/Sharpsburg area. The food is great for the price. Weve come here many times after a workout. On Friday nights, they are packed.
