Always love the Wedge when were ordering for delivery. Stopping by for lunch however was a little less exciting - thus the four stars. The pizza here is on the thinner side, but not quite New York-esk with its foldability, overall a good balance. For those carnivores among us, they do a good job with all things meat, including some legit specialty pizzas - the Fat Toni Roni being my favorite. For those flower children, they have a bakers dozen of plant/cheese/fish based options that are sure to please even the most rigorous of vegetarian/pescatarians (learned a new word today!) The digs at the Riverside site are minimal, but theres a table to sit at if youre not excited about eating in the car. The selection from the spinning serving table inside is mediocre w/ 3-4 types of pizza by the slice and the $2.50 slices are a little on the expensive side. Totally appreciate the economic practices that necessitate the slice cost, but it comes out to $20 for a pie. $1.99 slices would make me stop in more often. Overall, the Wedge is solid. Above average, great pizza, but its a step up from Papa Johns (though papa loves his garlic butter) and the selection is pretty phenomenal. Worth checking out, better if youre ordering it for delivery.

I was driving on Riverside looking for something else when I saw a sign that said "Pizza by the Slice" so I figured what the heck. The Wedge is wedged into a building along with a Hungry Hobo. I walked in and the only thing in the place is a counter. Immediately, a server came up and took my order. Less than 30 seconds later I had two slices of pizza for just $4.00 Theres no dining room, so I took my slices back to work. They were kind of a New York style crust. The pizza was pretty good and definately filling. The price is definately right for a quick lunch.

This business has two locations: their original pizza place location on Riverside Drive and their casual dining restaurant/pizzeria on the Ped Mall, which shares dining space with Capanna. I actually rather like their breakfast whether Im having quiche, eggs benedict, eggs novia scotia or andouille sausage hash. Their lunch menu includes an excellent lamb burger and a mouth-watering steak sandwich.

Fresh ingredients on the pizza! Im so glad they are located so close to my place! Im just mad it took me this long to stop in. They also have individual slices ready to eat. Not really a place to sit down and eat... they have like one table.

this is our favorite pizza in iowa city. you would think that living in a college town would entitle you to good pizza everywhere, not the case. this is the best pizza in iowa city. try the wedgetable or the thai pizza...yumm-o
