You want to enjoy your special day with love, respect and food, NEVER GO TO TAMARIND. This place used to be on top of list of my favourite places. Now its gone out of my dictionary. My worse ever experience with disrespect, most shocking attitude coming from an owner after offering to be seated while their place with " open" sign was " closed" per an employee. Owner offered to serve us so instead of leaving for second favourite place , we stayed back just to be told we had to leave as their paper work was done and they were closed. Really ? We werent done eating yet. Instead of apology, we were made to accept their behaviour as normal, explantations were , an employees working for longer hours, being tired etc. Seriously? Is it really acceptable ? We left towards end of incomplete process of eating, angry, unhappy just to have right judgement to avoid further shocking behaviour coming from them mainly an owner. Why were we made to seat there after being told they were closed but as soon as payments was done, it was time to leave even though dinner was not over. This restaurant is owned by non American. Possible that owner still practicing how he acted In Other part of world, no value of customer and did not care about legality and policy of his business not knowing how business is handled in this country. Im looking for support from respectable customers to identify with word respect and love and to protect their respect and dignity from getting disrespected . I was in this situation yesterday and could be you tomorrow.

Food was bad, I mean really bad. They need to change a lot, food quality, taste, service speed and customer attentiveness. It took 30 mins to get a tomato soup, and that was "ketchup" heated for 2 mins and served on the table. Tomato soup is not "ketchup". 11.95$ chili paneer was frozen paneer dipped in "ketchup", yukk. God help the chef here. I can teach you how to make chili paneer. Malai kofta had kofta separately put on top of the sweet gravy, again Yukk....Suggest them to search for how is malai kofta made. As somebody said in his review, all the food was trash, very true. Sorry, but I will prefer to eat $1 burger at McDonalds, than waste my money and spoil the evening with such food. One more thing, the menu pages had food marks on them, and there were clear fingure prints on menu. Kids washed their hands after they touched the menu. Lol..... And Yes, when the soup was brought to the table, it was spilled all over. They refused to change when we said it was a dirty bowl....

Rude Staff. Was there for lunch and asked if we can order from the menu instead of buffet. Manger told No. Understand their policy. The restaurant had plates slightly bigger than Quarter size. Dinner plates were right there and when I tried to grab one, the manager took the plate away. The person told me that it is the management policy to use only small plates. I was with my family and friends. I let them eat but I did not touch their food. This is the last time I have set my foot in this restaurant. Dinner and lunch should had in dinner size plates not bread plates. No one bothered to ask me why I did not eat their food. Mr. owner you better change the policy or you may loose many more customers like me who wants to have their lunch and dinner on dinner plate.

Taste of India is a nice restaurant. Sort of plain on the inside, but it works for them. The service was friendly, and I was quickly seated when I went in for the lunch buffet. All the food tasted good to great, and there was a better selection than some other places I have been that serve similar buffet food. But, the whole time I was there, there was no naan. The tray was empty from the moment I got there until I left about 20 minutes later. I had to eat all the different foods I usually scoop up with bread by themselves. So, if naan is important to you, you may need to go somewhere else. I will try this place again in case it was a fluke. $10 for an Indian lunch buffet is not bad.

Went in at 935pm saw person cleaning tabes and asked if its OPEN as per the sign outside , he replied with a curt "Closed" I just re checked the timings in my phone and asked him it said 10 pm in google thats why i came and he reluctantly said "if u want food to go" i said never mind and left and he made no efforts whatsoever to apologize. Just to confirm we are customers and not looking for free food right?:) So bottom line: If you want to taste Indian food( i never got to taste the food so no review about it ) with zero expectation of customer service then this is the place to go guys! If you want Any customer service, Jai ho is close

Just stopped in for lunch and tried to order off the menu as I typically do when I eat here (which is typically very good). I was told there was no menu service today, which leads me to question who is cooking the stuff for the buffet then? Are they serving leftovers from yesterday? Regardless, service like that is a surefire way to lose me as a customer so I wont be going back. Also, at dead noon there were no cars in the parking lot or customers at tables, so they must be doing something wrong. It also looks like they havent cut the grass out front in a month. I guess thats what happens when you just stop caring about your business.

We were referred by several friends. Ambience was so so. Hostess/server had no personality. Was not prepared when he asked to take our order and had to repeat it again. Asked for a wine list but he stated they only had one red and one white wine, you can see quite a few different wine bottles up front when you walk in. Food was good. Quick to arrive to the table hot and fresh. Pay attention to your bill before you pay. We were a party of 4 and were charged 18% gratuity automatically added to our bill. Will not go back. If you go hopefully you will have better service/luck.

Giving 3 stars only brava use the food quality is good and most of the staff is so rude and the dont know how to treat and greet the customers. The so called manager is pathetic(I wish I could use some other better word about this insane guy) , when we asked fill the sweets that were empty, he was very unprofessional and told that they are very busy and cant fill it.. I did not like staff at all, they are very very rude.. If you care for taste and dont care if someone respect you as customer, then you can visit this place.. 100%marks to cook..

It was our first visit to the restaurant and as they say the first impression was THE BEST impression. A perfect lunch buffet with lots of variety of dishes .. (especially the vegetarian ones ... which I prefer) the taste was excellent and the quality of food was much better when compared to the other restaurants in tampa .. The ambience was very pleasing and the service was too good.. we had a great time with our friends and they too loved the place !! We have decided to visit this place frequently and make it a routine
