I must start off by saying that the food was very good and a little on the pricey side (but it is sushi, so well worth it). I placed an order for carry out and when I arrived to pick it up I was greeted by 3 very nice young girls. Alongside the girls was (what I later found out) the owner. When I went to pay, I tried to use a coupon that we had purchased from the Perrysburg (High School) football team and they would not accept it. The owner VERY RUDELY informed me that the coupon was for dine in only (which was NOT stated on the coupon) and went on some kind of rant about how other patrons were trying to use it for carry out as well. Oh yes, I forgot to mention that this was our first time ordering from from there. Needless to say, I sat there completely amazed at the way I was being spoken to by none other than the person who my business was going to, She could have simply stated that it could be used for dine in only (in a polite way) and I would have had no problem at all. Or even let me use it this time and informed me for future reference. Here is a bit of advise for the owner: If you expect people to return to your establishment you may want to reconsider the way that you interact with them. The way the economy is you should be thanking the lord above that people are coming and and paying good money on your food. I dont appreciate the way that I was treated and DID call after I left to voice my opinion on the matter. I hope the message got to the right person bc she needs a lesson in socialization. Oh, and kudos to the young lady I spoke with. I wish I would have asked your name. Maybe you should give your boss some lessons in good people skills. To make a long story short.....I will NOT be returning. I will give my business to Nagoya where they were very "people friendly." I worked in customer service before and my family owned a restaurant many years ago so I know good customer service. Your attitude was UNACCEPTBLE!!!!!!

We read through the negative reviews and were very surprised...The fish is always fresh and the hot and sour soup is delicious when we visit! We now live in the DC area and cannot find food that compares. As far as the customer service goes, we have been loyal customers from FUYI to Tea Tree and yes the prices are higher and yes the menu is different, but its a different restaurant-Tea Tree is NOT a family style restaurant. From the decor alone you can tell that Tea Tree is a more upscale restaurant that offers Thai, Japanese, and Chinese food. From FUYI to Tea Tree the customer service is and has always been superb. In fact we had our rehearsal dinner here and it was seamless, all of our guests (we had 50+ people) still comment on how great the food and service was for the whole evening. It is true that the cuisine is less Americanized than other nearby restaurants and perhaps thats what other dinners prefer...if you want high quality, fresh, flavorful, appealing food we recommend you go to Tea Tree. In fact every time we are back in T-town we eat there at least once!

The sushi was OK, nothing spectacular. The hot & sour soup (supposedly a specialty) was terrible and the shrimp used in it not only smelled bad, but tasted as though it were a few days past its prime. The waiter was pretentious and RUDE. When one of the guests in our party brought up an issue with her sushi the waiter proceeded to tell her that she was wrong. Furthermore, we complained to what Im assuming to be the owner about the less than courteous wait staff. She told us that no one else had "had an issue" with said waiter and that it must have been our fault for the poor service. She did not offer to remedy the situation, or promise to speak with the waiter as a result of the unsatisfactory dining experience. She more or less told us to just not come back. If youre looking for lackluster sushi and to be condescended to through out your meal, Tea Tree Asian Bistro is the place youre looking for. It is definitely an establishment that prizes pretension and over-priced specialties over quality service and experience. Youve been warned!

Okay, my friends and I went to this restaurant today because we werent looking to spend an Arm and a leg for Nagoya. The waitress with the blonde hair and black rimmed glasses today she was wearing a brown shawl and a kinda has a belly going could not tell if she was pregnant or not, "messing with her image" . She was completely rude to us. The food was alright but she herself ruined the whole first time experience. So she gets the food to all of us in time. By the end of the night mind you its not busy at all no where near closing time. We asked for 3 separate checks.. How in the hell do you mess up twice? She charged all of the wrong cards and gave wrong bills to us. When I tried to make sure she fixed the bill right she snapped at me saying I KNOW what Im doing.. So Im like OK.. But nope she gave everyone the wrong bill. I hope she learns how to work in customer service.. We left no tip. She didnt deserve a tip. Will not recommend or return go to Nagoya down in Levis commons pricey but they treat you with respect. .

The sushi was horrible. It tasted like the diabetic ulcer from an 80 year old mans feet (pre-debridement). The Lava pork resembled canned Spam and was drizzled in what seemed to be old motor oil. Our waiter was wearing a Hooters t-shirt with dinner-plate sized pit stains and smelled of Vicks Vapor Rub. He drooled a lot too. The sweet and sour soup was sweetened with (we found out later) Splenda, so that wasnt too bad. There were cans of Glade meadow flower scented room spray strategically placed next to every toilet in the bathroom, and (PeeYoo) you could tell they never used them. The calamari could have been used to make a rubber band ball and I had plenty of time to make one too. There was an hour and a half wait between our appetizer and main course. Its best to just step on the gas, honk the horn and flip the bird when driving past this fancy-pants restaurant. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Watch Your Check !!!! Table of 6, one was a child. Automatically added 20% to the bill. Not a big deal as we usually tip 20-25% anyway. BUT, I asked her to put my $100 cash towards the check and mom wanted to pay the rest. I told her the tip was already on there so just sign it and well be good. Got the new tab with $100 knocked off AND THEY ADDED THE TIP AGAIN. $35 tip now effectively $70 She argued the practice / tactic then the manager tried to explain it as a computer error. Computers only do what you tell them to do Buddy. It was fixed only after I got rather loud and stuck to my guns. Yes the sushi was good, as were the rest of the meals. But, I will NOT be returning, nor do I recommend this place AT ALL VERY SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES. PERIOD.
