It has a long day for three of us, we were all day at the Busch gardens, craving for desi (indian) food. So I looked up this place on google wanted to give a try. When we entered the restaurant the lady who was wearing a black Kurta with Jean pants and flip flops pointed at the right both have a sit there which I find it rude. How can you wear flip flops if you work in restaurant? Anyways we sat down. It took her at least 15 mins to bring her water which tasted like pool water. We ordered beer which took another 15 min to come. She was the only one who was taking orders and one guy who was just serving the food. So we ordered appetizer veg pakora which was nothing like veg pakora didnt find no potatoes or cauliflower. It had only onions. Very oily. We Were ready to place order for main course we actually had to raise our hand to tell her to take our order as she was taking our order she got phone call she picked up the phone call while taking our order she started taking on phone and left and then came back to take our order left us in the middle of giving the order anyways we ordered chicken chettinad and malai kofta. Who puts cream in chicken chettinad? Its suppose to spicy I even told her to make it Indian spicy it was not spicy at all. Malai kofta had shredded paneer in it. Didnt even taste like malai kofta. Anyways we didnt enjoyed at all left most of the food on table and asked for our check which took her 20 mins just to give our check. I personally suggest everyone try to stay away from this restaurant. I would not even keep this place as my last option.

I have visited several Indian Restaurants throughout the Tampa area. However, my favorite is Jai Ho Royale on Fowler Avenue. There are several reasons the hospitality is very warming as the staff is pleasant and very friendly. A fresh pitcher of ice cold water is served up with your order is a plus. The buffet is second to none I have visited and the food selection changes on the day and some are main stays depending on the day as well. I love the Sambar soup as it is very tasty and I like to get at least a couple bowls, there is a huge variety of dishes and the quality of the food is fantastic. There are several vegetarian dishes and 3 or more chicken dishes and goat is always served as well. I fill my plate full my first trip and then come back for a second round for my favorites that day. I have to be careful as over eating is very easy to do you see. The food taste so fresh and the flavors are vibrant. I often bring friends with me as I know that they will be satisfied with the buffet. Jai Ho is definitely a keeper and if your visiting the area this is the Best in the area. I do not normally write a review unless I find the service outstanding and the owner must be very proud as the food is consistently out of this world.

woke up one day craving good Indian food...which I know is hard to find here in Tampa, and I wasnt in the mood to cook so I decided to come check out the lunch buffet here. I heard about this place from a lot of Indians and they all said the food is pretty good so I decided to give this place a try. I was a little nervous because of a couple other Indian buffets here in Tampa I ate at and the food was nasty but here at jai ho I was pretty impressed. I really liked the pakoras, both the veggie and the chicken ones (the chicken pakoras were amazing btw) and there daal was on point. Also try there chicken biryani and the chicken 65...yumm! Goat curry could of been a bit more spicy but thats just my opinion. I like very spicy food but u have to understand its a buffet so they have to cater to all. Decor was off but u coming here to eat good food not to just sit n look around. Service was ok...I went towards the end of the buffet, which ends at 2:30 btw, and I didnt feel rushed to leave at all which was nice. Im curious to try out there dinner menu...this place has achari gosh on their menu which is one of my favorite dishes. Would I eat here again? Yes

Looking at the sign "Indian cuisine and fast food" I was thinking it would be a fast food Indian place, something a bit americanized. But when you walk in, no modern appeal. I see this place fitting a more West Indian crowd since they have goat curry. As far as the resturant experience, the silverware was dirty and one of our drinking cups still had lipstick on it. When we notified someone, they looked at us thinking it was okay. When we continued to look at her she then picked it up and just started to wipe it off on her shirt. If we didnt stare at her more I think she would have placed it back on the table. She eventually got us a "new" cup, I think. The food was okay. The butter chicken was spicier than most places, but the raita was delicious ( chunky style). i did not mind the spice appeal since the raita was just perfect. The main thing that brings down the place for me is that it seems poorly put together and it does not followed a social script typical of a restaurant. The bottom line is the service and hygiene was terrible. The food was good and for a good price, but its not the best Indian food that Tampa can offer..

The service was not welcoming. it took two request over 15 minutes to get water refilled in the pitcher once. We dared not ask for a second refill. I was given a rebuke about asking for my husbands sweet tea drink which we had ordered at the beginning but did not get it until the middle of the entree. After the meal, we walked to the cash register to pay since we didnt want to "inconvenience" them. The food presentation was good, but it was reheated leftover from lunch. Freshly prepared meals are piping hot. The internal temperature of chicken is hot even if it is out waiting. The biryani chicken arrived in a pot. We hunted for the chicken, which was discovered in the bottom - 4 chicken cubes. Restaurant was half full, and extremely quiet. I think the others felt the same. We were polite, quiet, casually dressed, and are professionals. Not rude, not inappropriately dressed, and not demanding. Very weird experience. They need to go see other restaurant services in US.

I got to admit, ambiance was the only thing good.Rest- another story.Lets start with the food. The food was very poor. They have a decent choice of 3-4 vegetarian curries with 3 non-vegetarian ones.I being a veggie ate the former. Shockingly, there was no Veg Biryani which is usually a default in most buffets.I am not exaggerating here but I felt that the food was one of the dismal I had ever eaten.I think the eggplant curry was rotten. You can make out that specific taste. I only had some dessert, overall .My friend who had eaten nonveg told me that even his food was appalling as well. While we were talking to ourselves about how bad the food was,a guy from the restaurant came up to us and said that he would be bringing the check. He wanted us to get out of the restaurant so that we can make place for others. This was the first time that I was feeling hungry after having a buffet. I went straight to Subway after going to that place. Overall, I do not recommend.
