I usually do not take the pain to write reviews but in this case I am compelled to write one. On Eid ( July 2014), I gave Paradise restaurant a catering order for 30-35 people giving them specific instructions on spice level (mild) because I know my guests will not eat even medium spice level. I made sure to write the same my self on the order receipt that goes to chef/cook so that he/she does not miss it. After paying more for per tray than one would pay at most Indian restaurants in Tampa what I got for chicken 65 was fire/chilli 65. There was so much red chilli powder in it that none of my guests could eat it except one who dared to eat couple of pieces and had bad stomach within 15 minutes of eating the same. Moghlai chicken was also spicy but at least some of us could eat it. Luckily we had decided to cook biryani at home and it turned out to be the only thing most guests could eat. I let it go because every one gets a second chance hoping the restaurant would improve and besides I want to see a Hyderabadi restaurant flourish in Tampa Bay Area and provide us quality food. After two months, I called to place another order after hearing from a friend that he ate recently @ paradise and liked the food. Before placing the order (for 25 people) this time, I told them about their first time fiasco and talked at length to explain that my food should not be spicy but mild/very mild. This time when I went to pick the food I asked the person at the counter and he assured me that chicken 65 is mild and that they managed to bring down the spice level in Biryani but it may not be very mild. But again when I got home and tasted the food it was very very spicy because of high amount of red chilli powder. I could not eat it and I eat spicy food very regularly. My guests were not lucky this time as we did not cook anything at home. Every thing we ordered (Biryani, Chicken 65 & Butter Chicken) was very very spicy. After eating 2-3 morsels of food all my guests could eat was raita. I called the restaurant and told the staff how unhappy I am. I hope owner and chef/cook will read this review, learn from mistakes and improve their quality of food and service.

Being new to Indian food, I cant say that it didnt taste authentic, but I can say it felt overseasoned and that they only had Biryani. We came looking to try something new and all ended up with the same thing because they were all out of everything else. We were charged 18% for GRATITUDE alone. And if i hadnt asked for the receipt he probably wouldnt have given me it. Regardless I will not be returning. I heard the microwave more than a couple times and our final check was at 90+ and we are a small family of four. It was originally 70, and he bumped it up with the "gratitude" which as far as Im concerned should be given when youve enjoyed the food and be given voluntarily, not because they say so. If youre in the area, go the extra mile and to a different Indian restaurant. They said the lamb was "slow cooked" and as Ive been informed it tasted stale. The customer service was not all that great considering he stacked up plates at our table and then took them away because our food came with plates already (why??? it was stupid.) Were not complaining on price but on quality. Weve had food thats over 25+ per plate, but it was well worth the value. Now we are not rude people so we asked for take home boxes, but if we were we would have demanded a refund. As well as more napkins because we got four tiny napkins and there was a child at the table. And the guy taking orders (who btw made us stand to order because he didnt have menus) looking extremely agitated by the babys mess. Unfortunately its his job to clean it not ours, and we usually leave tips but not this time. Ive never been this disappointed in my life. Please shut this place down.

Overpriced. Also this place is no longer owned by Indian guy. Chinese guys are very cunning and sells Rabit and probably uses beef in place of Goat. Be careful of their food, these guys looks crooks to me. Response to Owner - This is not a fake review. I paid you guys money and your service was not at par. It was my obligation and right to inform others what i felt. Do you have any evidence this is a fake review ? Do you not sell rabbit in your restaurant ? Did you not put beef in the goat biryani ? Which indian restaurant does that ? We are Hindu and dont eat beef. You might not feel the way i felt. The front desk guy was chinese also i seen one more chinese person inside your restaurant working. So i wrote its not owned by Indian. I felt cheated after paying at your restaurant. Have guts to accept the truth and make service better. I will never return to your restaurant and will ask my friends not to go there. The offensive way you have replied to my review makes me feel not only this restaurant is bad.. but you as a owner are thug and have no moral. Instead of apologizing you are intimidating. Have ethics and better understand if you make money from customer you provide right service.

This place sucks period! The owner of the restaurant is the most uncivilized businessman I ever came across in my life. More importantly its not Biryani what they serve, for the connoisseurs and who know what real Biryani is , what you get at this restaurant instead is nothing but fried rice served in a soup bowl instead, cooked in clarified butter. Visiting with the family is a complete no no , again it cant be worse , the owner of this hell hole has the gall to ask you to hurry up after 5 minutes of serving food and making us wait for 30 minutes . Avoid this place like plague , I visited with my family had to deal with the uncivilized owner of the place. Dont be surprised if you see him putting fingers in your food with bare hands before serving you.Do I need to say more?? Oh cleanliness ... dont even ask , the use and throw cutlery will be thrown on the dirty greasy table by the waitress and the cheap napkins are rationed by the cheap owner of this place!!!

Im from Hyderabad, India and I can tell you that this place is authentic. No other place in Florida even compares to the food here, Get the Goat Biriyani and Chicken 65 and you will come back here over and over again. Ive been eating this kind of food for 23 years in India and some of the dishes like biriyani are extremely difficult to get right and its rare that you find one place like this that does get it right. If you like good, legit Indian (Hyderabadi) food, look no further. About biriyani, the meat and the rice is to be cooked together, most other restaurants cook it separately because this is difficult to do and this is the reason that other restaurants fail miserably in cooking it right. Even the "masala" (blend of different spices) needs to be done correctly and this place is freakin authentic! It surprised me very much when I tasted the food there and it tasted like restaurant food back in Hyderabad, India.
