The waitress was wonderful she was very kind, competent and friendly. The gentleman working with her scowled, like the whole time. He seemingly avoided the tables and grudgingly helped tables when the waitress was busy. The salsa was good, the chips tasted kind of weird, like the oil was weird trading and a bit strong, not like it was dirty with other food but just unsavory. The food was very bland and pretty generic. The famous guac that I read reviews on was super plain and after all the talk about its greatness really failed to deliver. It didnt taste like fresh avacado, it was obviously bulked up with something, no tomatoes, onions, cilantro any component of flavor that I expect in fresh guacamole was absent. It was a just a fluffy pale green mass. I dont understand the accolades there is much better fare out there. I love spice, unique flavor and value freshness which El Compadre is severely lacking. These shortcomings combined with the snarky attitude of the dude means I will not be returning.

I hate to say it but the last few months its been going down hill. Ever since they got raise in minimum wage. Smaller portions, only one lady who is always nice and been there for years really takes care of you, the rest sometimes you feel like your invisible. Sadly even the food has gone down the ice tea always tastes old even when they "fresh brew it". Very disappointed, I hope they change and make it the place again thats we knew and enjoyedI

Food was delicious and the waitress was friendly. We had the carne asada combo and the "godornis" or game hen, they were yummy! Definitely coming back. We requested a drink but werent crazy about the cherry flavoring and the waitress was quick to suggest an alternative, it seems as thought she really cared that we were satisfied.

Our familys favorite local spot to get Togo last minute dinner and we love taking the friends and family in for a sit down when they come to visit !!! Always good eats! The margaritas are diabolical!!! Fast service and damn it always rocks! Keep it up guys! You fuel this beast!!!

Wonderful food and great prices for lunch specials. There is usually a quiet, calm atmosphere, and the service is always fast. As a local, this is one of the best places to eat at; we come here quite often and are never disapponted.

Very poor service, waitress just threw the food on the table and left, completely ignored us, very rude. Food was very plain and unimpressive, waste of money better of getting dinner from the gas station down the street.

I totally enjoy this restaurant its service and its food! Try the Gordonis, it is a grilled Cornish hen and I order it nearly every time I eat here. Its seasoning and juiciness is excellent. Enjoy!
