!READ THIS BEFORE COMING HERE! I have lived in Korea for 8+ years, and when I came into SA (8 hour trip!) with my family (Korean wife and daughter), looking for a decent Korean eatery for dinner, BOY did I make the wrong choice! It is essentially greasy, fast food (like Manchu Wok). Your selections are basically greasy, over-salted, beef, chicken, or pork with rice. The dishes were WAY overpriced for what you get ($10 a "plate"). The meals are served in to-go containers - even if you eat there. The kimchi was about a 3 out of 10. I will give the staff a solid 8/10 however - they were nice - no issues there. The place itself DOES have a Korean-ish feel, with real Korean music playing - but that was about the only thing that was truly Korean there. If you are from Korea - STAY AWAY from this place, unless you need to lube up your insides with grease - and dont prefer quarter pounders (actually my wife and I wanted to go to McDonalds right after - and my wife hates McDs). If you are American, please dont even for a second think this is Korean food. I have seriously found better street food while I was living over there - for a FRACTION of the cost! Why this place has such a high rating IS BEYOND ME! ACK!!

First time visiting this establishment. Staff was extremely friendly conversing and joking with many regulars. The menu had a good variety of Korean dishes, some of them slightly modified which is what makes this more of a Fusion restaurant and less of an authentic Korean restaurant. Everything is cooked fresh and prepared to order. The flavors were good and the large portion of the entree I ordered was enough that I left feeling full even though it was my first meal of the day and already after noon. I ordered the Hillcountry Bowl aka BiBimBap. The fusion twist to this was spicy mayo, red and green cabbage and cilantro. Prices were fair, not extremely cheap, but not expensive either. Most items falling in the $10 range for the large portion, and 6-8 for the smaller portions. Almost all your Korean entrees are found on the menu as well as ramen. This place also offers some items for those who like spicy food. If your into spicy food, ask what they have thats not on the menu, I was told there were off menu items. I will definitely be returning, excellent customer service, good food, reasonable prices.

I have lived in this area for some time, many times when my friends and i want food of this quality we end up downtown. Since i have discovered this restaurant, i have fallen for it. From the friendly and cheerful staff to the clean and efficient dining room. The Cook is more than happy to explain the ingredients and just how they improve upon them to ensure the quality. My first experience he took the time to explain how they would get meat deliveries and they would ensure to trim the fat. Upon trying the BBQ chicken bowl the mix of the spices in the tender juicy chicken surrounded in the vegetable just mixed wonderfully. I couldnt help but spread the word to my co workers and friends. If you are in the area i definitely recommend them. Even if your not sure as to the menu the staff is happy to help you make a choice and explain everything you can expect from the experience.

I wish there was 100 stars. Why havent I eaten here sooner?!? AMAZING DELICIOUS Korean food. Literally when you take your first bite you cant stop eating because the flavors are so good. You can tell food isnt processed, wasnt frozen than stuck in a microwave.. Its freshly made! I ate the San Antonio Bowl, i highly recommend getting this. I havent tried anything else yet, but I bet its all delicious! Great atmosphere, great location, & they even have a drive through in the works! Very clean, friendly staff that recommend yummy opinions from the menu, & the prices are very affordable! Definitely get the BANG for your buck. This will be one of my new favorite spots to eat. If your thinking about eating here please do you wont regret it !

The staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable; Very attentive from the minute I walked in. They gave great advice about how to order since I was a newbie. The food was exceptional, both in quality and flavor. Clearly fresh ingredients prepared with skill and care. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the space is clean and comfortable. I didnt dine in, but I absolutely would. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and will be back.

Gogi Grill is a pleasant surprise! After living in South Korea for a year, I walked in more than a little skeptical. I walked out happy and full! Their bowls are amazing, when you ask for something to be made spicy it is made with a house blend using a chili paste (kochujiang). The food and atmosphere remind me of newer neighborhood restaurants in Korea! Gogi Grill utilizes local produce and meats. Gogi Grill is worth a visit!

Very unique and very good twisted-style of Korean taste. They dont have brewed tea (a sin in Texas) or table service. I had the spicy Alamo and pot stickers and both made a second visit to this place highly likely. The wings looked great, and I was told to try the famous San Antonio next time I was in as well. Extracting an idea of the expected flavor of a dish is difficult from the menu (layout and descriptions).

The food is delicious! I have never eaten Korean food before and everyone was really helpful. They had great suggestions and advice. The food always steaming hot fresh made to order. You can tell the ingredients are fresh ingredients not Frozen.!. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. I thought it was extremely sweet that I did not realize it was closing yet they stayed late to make my food thanks again.

We were greeted at the door and Tony welcomed us. He also made recommendations from the menu and gave details that made our mouths water. THE FOOD TASTED EXCELLENT! Its like Korean food meets Texas food truck at family prices. You must try Gogi St Wings, kimchi fries, and Gogi St yaki mandu. The San Antonio bowl was great too! We ordered half of the menu, and everything was good.

I saw the great reviews and thought Id give it a shot. Its a smaller restaurant, but attentive and had great service. I ordered the San Antonio bowl which was pretty good. I mentioned that it could use a bit more spice for my tastes and was told that they will adjust the spice levels if you mention it when ordering which I thought was cool. Definitely coming back to try more.

First time here. Owner was professional but did not above and beyond. Ordered gogi street wings as suggested. For $11.95 + tax, got six huge wings with some sauce-soaked fries. Wings were overcooked and not much meat for the size (not sure how that happened). Sauce was flavorful. 3 star rating because I only ordered one entree and cannot speak for the rest of the menu.

I live in this area and watched Gogi being built. I like Korean food but was tasked with driving across town for it. I stopped by yesterday and tried the Gogi San Antonio Bowl. So delicious! The food is fresh, well seasoned and prepared with genuine Korean flavors and textures. I loved it! Im definitely going to make my now five minute drive there a lot more often!
