I am writing this review on the way to another restaurant for lunch.... let me start at the begining. I walk in the door with a party of four. There were two other couples sitting down, I waited by the hostess stand and several waitresses walk by without even an acknowledgement. After a few mins of waiting I walked over to the bar side, again there were maybe three people sitting at the bar, no acknowledgement from the bar tender. So I walk out of the bar and ask the waitress (as she is walking by me again) "can we sit anywhere? "She then says "sit anywhere" and continues walking. We sit down and she brings menus and says she will come back to get our drink orders. Well she NEVER came back. She walked to the table behind us and right back to the kitchen. We waited five more minutes, nobody came over or said anything to us. Even as we got up to leave, the waitresses just watched us leave...again not even a acknowledgement. Needless to say I will not be back and I will be sure to share my experience on several platforms. Its really unfortunate to write this review about a local place I was excited to try. Looks like this will be another restaurant thats around for a few then go out of business but if this is the service they give its inevitable.

First time we went the service was pretty OK and the food was delicious aside from the obviously canned side vegetables... Second time we went, the shrimp and grits had completely changed!!! They were like a soup! One tiny spoonful of grits - 4 shrimp - and a bowl full of brothy/non-thick gravy. Overall they are overpriced for what you get. Also, the second time we went - it took 45 MINUTES for someone to come by our table after we were seated. 3 high-school looking aged waitresses were standing in the corners texting on their phones. I believe it must have been a manager or a senior waitress who finally came by and took our order. She apologized that we had waited so long. Unfortunately after she took our order - we never saw her again, another waitress brought our food out about an hour later and said nothing to us. The restaurant was NOT busy at all during our whole stay. Upon receiving our check and not being visited for another 30 minutes we had to walk around the restaurant with check in hand just to find somebody who could help us pay so we could leave. We will not be returning.

On 4/16/16 we visited crabtown, and were not pleased, to say the least. We had eaten there many times, usually in large groups, but this time it was our anniversary. We ordered the seafood platter and fish tacos. On the seafood platter, the fish was super dry (over cooked), the scallops were not fried right because the batter was just falling off, the shrimp were just perfect, and the oysters were overcooked as well. Now for the fish tacos, the fish was overcooked, and really not edible, as we brought that home just to end up in the trash. I called on the 19th to speak to the manager to let him/her know of our experience, but was not there at the time. The person that answered the phone said that they would be back in an hour and would receive the message. To date, no phone call. We will not be back, and since we do live here locally, our business will be going else ware, and will most certainly let all our friends and neighbors know.

TLDR: great seafood, crap service. 3rd time weve come here. 5 stars for the crabcakes, crab legs and fries. avoid the burgers and stick with sea food. 1 star for the service. It is not bad (WHEN we see the waitress, we get what we want), it is just slow. As if the waitresses feel like getting your money is a low priority. 1st visit: 4pm, half the tables are seated. ordered food with drinks. waitress visited a total of 3 times. so we never got our drinks refilled. 2nd visit: 2pm on sunday, 1 other table seated. different waitress, same experience as 1st visit. 3rd visit: 4pm, 1 other table seated. waitress gets our drink order then goes outside to shoot the bull... but the service was better today. well keep coming back, because the food makes up for the level of service.

This was our first time because it was a spare of the moment kind of thing. My bea order the crab cakes meal and I order the shrimp etoufee with jasmine rice. Well, both dish was very delicious, with the right amout of seasoning and the right portion. It was great! I also like how they section of the bar area from the dinning area. I gave it a 4 star because of one waitress who clearly looked like she didnt want to serve us. While all the other waitresses were busy helping others guest, she stood in the back peeking her head around the corner looking at us as we stood there waiting to be seated. As we were getting ready to leave, one of the busy waitress with a large party came to greet us with her lovely braced smile. I enjoyed the food and I will be back.

They are not consistent with their menu items. I was disappointed that the crab salad I ordered was not made the same. I was even more disappointed when the waitress told me that the cooks are not consistent, well what is the point in having a menu. The food was okay, but I had already told my team how amazing the presentation was of the salad the first time I ordered it. When it came out the second time, it looked like something I could have thrown together in my own kitchen. At this point, I plan to be an inconsistent customer, because I am not planning to bring anyone else to this restaurant, as the meal may not look the way I describe it.

My wife and some friends and I ate here this past weekend and the food was FANTASTIC. Brent is the chef now, and he is killing it. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are healthy. I had the crab cake sandwich, my wife had the crab macaroni and cheese appetizer as her meal, and she ended up bringing some of it home. The food was good before, dont get me wrong, but If you havent been in a while, you need to check it out again. This is going to be a regular spot from now on. We ate in the bar and the service was great and the bartenders are very friendly.

Drove in from Richmond to see my cousin and after a major craving for crab legs we decided to try out this spot. We started off with the crab cake sliders which were amazing! After that we got snow crab legs with fries and onion rings. My cousins husband ordered a jalapeno burger and seemed very happy with it. Everything was delicious. We waited a lot longer than we had wanted to to get our food, but was well worth it once it came out. I highly recommend this place for seafood and look forward to going again when I come back in town. S.W.

Slow, rude wait staff, canned under flavored meals. I dont like to give negative reviews so we went a second time and my wife ordered the soup special and ended up with a warmed up can (not even hot) of 12oz vegetable soup and a side of bread and butter. I ordered the crab cakes, (to which they claim to be the best around), Ill give a mediocre at best. To sum it all up, Im sorry everybody, dont waste your time. Drive a little farther and get better food, better atmosphere, and better hospitality.
