I visited the Bar Louie at The Town Center in Hampton, VA for the first time on Friday October 7, 2016 @8:15. My guest and I were there to celebrate her birthday. Olivia, our server was friendly enough and suggested some menu items after I inquired. We settled on quesodilla appetizer , a melon martini and a modified Cosmo with grey goose and a slice of lemon. Olivia brought the drinks out and the Cosmo did not have grey goose or slice of lemon. Olivia apologized and stated she would bring it out. During this time the patio seating became increasingly full. Another male waiter came over delivered an appetizer and handed my guest a toothpick with a slice of lemon. Still no water, plates or utensils on table at this time. Shortly after @9:15 , Olivia returned to table to tell us it was the wrong appetizer that appeared to table. Chicken nachos. I told her to leave them because they tasted great! Olivia stated her management would not let them stay at table and they must be thrown away. So I asked to speak to management. Anthony, manager on duty approached table and we requested that the misdelivered food be left and told him we were enjoying it and sharing it on social media. Anthony insisted that he had to pay for it somehow and if he didnt throw it away or we pay for it he would have to charge his server. I have worked in food service/hospitality and customer service and have never seen such aggregtious behavior from management. I felt I was being treated as someone who was trying to get over when the staff/kitchen clearly made the mistake. I was mortified when my guest spoke up and ran down all of our experience to Anthony. He finally begrudgingly stated that he would not charge for the appetizer because of the rest of the experience. I told him earlier in conversation that I did not believe this was a corporate policy and I would be contacting them to alert them of his customer service or lack there of. Anthony stated "Well you didnt say all that, I wasnt aware of other things wrong, you were just talking about customer service and corporate" Make sure you tell corporate that I gave that to you," . I have never been treated that way at all. The atmosphere and location are deceiving... I have received better service at a Chick-fil-a. The remaining of the evening we saw no management just our poor server overwhelmed. We never got a box..we left. It was the worst $52 investment Ive ever made. I will not be visiting Bar Louie again.

If I could give it no stars I would. It took 1.5 hrs to get food and it took 45 mins to even get my check. Horrible Horrible service I would never recommend this place and I will not step foot back in that place. we spent 3 hrs in there waiting for food drinks and check smh. The service is always horrible the few times Ive been there and thats only because friends invited me. The food is never consistent its bad. I dont know who the cook is but its always something wrong with the food and it has to be taken back. This last experience I had the server was nasty acting, slow, her attitude was that of a teenage girl who didnt want to be at work at all. So we the whole table decided not to tip. 1. She had a bad attitude. 2. It took us an hour to get water 3. She just moved slow altogether and didnt care that our food took forever so much that a service manager had to come over there and actually take out order and help her. 4. She is a thief I crossed out the tip area and paid my bill only to go into my account after the initial charge and noticed she tipped herself $20.00. So basically she didnt see a tip and then decided to steal one for poor service. Luckily my bank noticed that she came back hours later and added a tip well after we were gone and credited my account back. Im sorry but if the service is horrible a tip is not deserved.

This place needs some people who have better customer service experience. The bartenders I dealt with were extremelyyyyyy slow. What bartender do you know takes one drink order at a time? I was in a group of 3 people and they would take one order, make it, deliver it, then move down the line. When I say "they" I mean both of them were working on one person, mind you the bar is full of people. Being a bartender myself, I would say that these ladies may need to go through a little bit more efficient training. It took us almost 10-15 min after we got our check to cash out. Theyre just not attentive or courteous at all. But one of them did manage to go on a smoke break grabbing her cig from the counter and walking right outside. I even saw the other one eat a chip off of someones plate before she sent it back to the kitchen, hungry much? eww AND they left a bottle of wine on the bar for minutes at a time! Thats a rule that should NEVER be broken. I know their names but Im not even gonna do that to them. I just hope they get some better people in here because its a nice place the employees just S U C K. food was alright... chips were extremely stale, they told me they come that way ??????? then brought me new chips that were completely different in quality ... terrible lack of knowledge of menu items

Went there with a couple friends a Friday night, they were busy at the bar, not really in the dining room. I learned (the few times Ive been there) that is better to order drinks from the bar rather than sit at a cocktail table and wait to be greeted... I wanna say there were 4-6 bartenders and we still waited 10-15 mins before we were asked what we wanted to drink... After we got our beers, my buddy and I went to find a place to sit at a high top table... several tables were empty but they were still dirty... we had to push empty bottles to the side, just to make room for our drinks... I accidentally stepped on a broken Heineken bottle, I approached a "bouncer" and mentioned it to him - his reply was "it is not my job to clean it up"... then he continued to talk to another gentleman (guest) who was there before I approached him... it is quite dangerous to have broken bottles, and not acknowledge the fact that someone could get hurt, or slip and fall and cut themselves... it is a restaurant at the end of the day... Terrible service, horrible security staff, it is NOT a club, it is still considered a restaurant... management should take a look into this.. it is a nice venue, but the staff that night and every other night I visit was very unwelcoming.

If you find your server has dyed red hair, ask her name. If she says "Airamist" move to a different section. The absolute worst service I have ever received. The entire visit lasted over two hours with no explanation of why our food took over an hour to come. We ordered tachos which are coated in a thick layer of buffalo sauce and she refilled my water once. On top of that, she never tried to ask us if we wanted to order any other drinks (the other member of my party started with a beer and I had a sangria) or any other food. We were still sitting there when the lights came on despite having wanted to leave for over 20 minutes at that point. To be fair. My other visits have all been 4s or 5s. Tuesday burger nights are almost a weekly thing during the school year when my student friends are in town because it is something they can afford, while still maintaining restaurant quality and taste. Prior to this night the "worst" thing that had ever happened was the waitress accidentally taking up my free-flatbread-or-app survey while clearing some plates. Which truly is not an issue. I will certainly be back eventually; but this killed my desire for Bar Louie for the summer.
