Horrible customer service! Would like to give zero stars but thats not an option ....Been going to chans for years, management or owners mustve changed because Ive had the absolute worst experience that Ive ever had dealing with a restaurant. My wife ordered dinner for my family, and I picked it up on the way home from work. Come to find out the order was wrong, and I was overcharged… I mustve received another customers order by mistake. Call the restaurant to get it fixed, and the first want to blame me for their mistake… Then when I asked them how theyre going to fix it they told me that I need to drive back 40 minutes round-trip to get my correct order that at that point had been sitting on their counter for over 40 minutes. Realizing they were not going to be much help I just asked for my money back and thats when I got really rude with me and said they would give me my money back if I would drive the food back to them in order to get my money back. They overcharged me, there should not of been a question whether not they wouldve refunded what they overcharged me No Im sorry, no let me make it right for you next time it was just complete rudeness. With so many food options in Rockwall you would think the older businesses would want to keep their clientele but I guess will be checking out the competition from here on out.

I ordered twice in a matter of two days. The first round the food was not bad, but the messed up the order when asked for no veggies for my 5 year olds chicken lomein ( the do not have a childs menu ). However I did enjoy their cream cheese rolls. I said I would try them again.. So tonight we did just that. I asked for Chicken Broccoli with Brown Sauce because it usually comes with no sauce. They did get the lo mein right this time, but did not get the chicken broccoli correct. I called them and simply asked them to simply credit my card for the chicken broccoli and then I was hung up on by the owner (well at least she thought she hung up on me) I then listened to her cuss me and scream at the other employees because the white woman was mad etc. etc. and she started talking about me on the phone commenting that it was "blah blah blah" I was a bit upset. Finally the young lady taking orders picked up the phone thinking a new customer was on the line and she tried to give the phone back to the owner, only for the phone to be thrown back at her. So here I am 31.00 later and food not worth eating. She would not credit my account or send out new food. I will not order from them again.. Im pretty sure Ill just stick to China Taste in the future. They have NEVER done me wrong in the several years I have ordered from them.

I work in Rockwall and was quite hesitant to try this place, however, I was referred here by a local. I wish I had gone with my gut on this one.... First, they were unwilling to make me what I wanted, which was not a big variation of what was on the menu (honestly cannot remember the specifics but remember feeling dumbfounded that they couldnt) which was quite disappointing. Second, EVERYTHING comes out on paper plates and you get plastic silverware and paper napkins......This is a restaurant, not panda express, right? I thought about just leaving at that point, but decided to give it a try. Lastly, the food was not that great. It was not awful, but I could have gotten the same quality at the previously mentioned, Panda Express. Overall, it was not an enjoyable experience and I will not be back.

I so wanted to like this place! We have ordered three times with eight different entrees and not one winner. The Combination Lo Mein has weird noodles and little meat. The General Tsao and fried rice couldnt be drier and more tasteless (twice). The Hunan Beef was nothing but onions and sause... Teriyaki Chicken was charred to the point of burnt with no real flavor. The owners need to check out Master Wok in Plano off Jupiter to see how it should be done. Cant see us going back at this time...Dominos is a better option sadly. I had to remember the Teriyaki Chicken which made lower from two to one star. Cant see us going back ever...

Okay so I used to love this place, the food amazing, the portions were huge, and nice people. I was in rockwall today and decided to order some food orange chicken and fried rice, I picked it up, got home and it was totally wrong. They gave me a whole thing of fried rice and no orange chicken! I called them back and told them what happen? If they can come out and deliver it to me since I live in rowlett and dont want to drive all the way back for their mistake. They said no and all they could do is an exchange. Then they started arguing saying it was my fault for not paying attention! SCREW THIS PLACE. Im sticking with Panda Express.

Okay so let me start by saying I NEVER go out of my way to rate restaurants. However I had to do this. I would bring my family years ago before I moved. Dine in experience was great! See the guys behind the glass cooking, serve you on nice dishes and nice size plates of food (very nice.) Now everything comes to you on a paper plate (dine in) and in a to go container. The portions are very small and the good is just okay. The owner is cutting corners to the point of extreme displeasure (ridiculously ghetto dining.) Go to China Taste if you want Chinese in Rockwall and save your money. This place is past its prime... trust me. )

Consistently on point. On Sad Tuesday (What we call Tuesday because Van Chans is closed) we have had the misfortune to order from other local Chinese delivery places that do NOT deliver...in satisfaction. I specifically asked for for a vegetarian-no-meat dish at the last unnamed place we ordered from, and got something that had chicken, pork and beef in it. When I called to tell them of the mistake, the lady argued with me and told me to throw the meat out and eat the veggies....which would have consisted of 4 pieces of red and green pepper. Van Chans has always been polite and fast. The best in Rockwall.

We ordered our and specified that we did not want any onions on our entire order. We had the food delivered, once we opened the containers of food... Everything had onions. I called and was hung up on, then got a 20 minute run around, then they would only exchange the food if I brought it back to them. At that time it was already past 10pm on a school night. Side note, very expensive for small portions. The "manager" is the "owner", however the owner is always conveniently not there to give back a refund. Please dont waste your time or money.

We have been eating at Van Chans for years for lunch. The selection, price and portions have been fantastic! We went this past Sunday for lunch and learned that they have gone "cheap". They have replaced all the porcelain plates, stainless flat ware and serving dishes with cheap paper plates, plastic ware, and to-go boxes. The food was still good, but the cheap feel of the paper goods and plastic ware completely put me off the place. It used to be fast food with a sit-down restaurant experience... Simply put, very disappointed.
