Too bad there isnt extra credit on the star ratings; I would give them a 6th star. My lady is Japanese descent and we eat sushi a lot. We have a favorite in our (coastal) home town after ruling out others. She described one of our favorite rolls to the waitress who said they had a similar roll that wasn’t on the menu – no rice but 3 fish rolled up in a spirally sliced cucumber: the Denver roll. Undoubtedly the best tasting roll either of us had, we asked why it isn’t on the menu and the waitress said it takes a while and can cause problems when they are crowded. Sad for the populace, but if you read this – ask for it! We also had the Escolar-Cilantro – both Escolar rolls were recommended by the waitress – delicious and still a notch up on our hometown favorite restaurant, and a Smokin’ Hot Cobia Roll my choice and distant third to the other two but still very good. Very unique flavor combos throughout the menu, good service and quick food, worthy of the rave reviews others have given. Great sushi in the mountains!

Second best Sushi in Ogden. Located on Historic 25th Street in Ogden. Pretty good sashimi and the chefs will make original rolls the way you like if you have a minute to hunker down and explain what you like. Tall ceiling is cool, not a lot of seats though. Service is usually excellent, but I have had a bad day or 2, with servers. Went there last night with a group for there "all you can eat" Halloween special. It was spectacular! Great selection of rolls, rice, teriyaki chicken/beef, tempura vegetables, calamari, sauces, etc. I was hoping for sashimi, but never saw any. Really a nice place with a great vibe.

The atmosphere is fun. The sushi is delicious. These rolls seem smaller for the price than some other places, but they are so tastefully crafted I would recommend this place as a stop on any sushi lovers list of restaurants to try. They have tea room spaces where you can sit on the floor, it seats 4 comfortably. Make a reservation here if you want to go on a weekend night. This place fills up fast and is always busy. If you have room for dessert, the cheesecake is made in house and is unlike cheesecake I have ever experienced. It is that- an experience.

I was very surprised to find such tasty sushi in Ogden. Tona puts a lot of effort into the presentation of the dish and the look is amazing. We had several rolls and all were full of taste. We ordered the gyoza and it was authentic Japanese gyoza, it was excellent. Tona also offers the marble drink from Japan. That was very unique and the first time Ive seen the drink in the states. Lastly, Tona offers mochi ice cream for dessert! I couldnt ask for anything more, it was amazing. Id definitely go back.

The food is great! The place is small and closes early. The food is amazing though! I try to eat at alot of sushi places in utah. I LOVE SUSHI!! I think this is in my top 5 for sushi restaurants in utah. I told them, when booking online for my reservation, that it was a birthday dinner and if could make it special. They put us in a semi private room. It was a lot of fun! We had a no shoes, Japanese style table. I am very happy that we came. I also love the secret menu we ordered from!

Amazing food here! The sushi rolls are very creative and delicious. The chefs and staff are always super friendly even if theyre busy. They have tables where you take your shoes off which are a lot of fun. Family Ive taken there who didnt enjoy sushi still loved the Teriyaki Chicken and Udon. The only downside is they dont always take reservations which is rough when weve wanted to go with family in town. Overall still my favorite sushi place in town, I dont mind if theres a wait!

Enlightening! The servers are very happy to help you have a good experience. They also get excited when your willing to broaden your sushi boundaries. They have/had a special where you can sample 6 different types of sushi. The waitress get in site on your past experiences and then hand you over to the sushi maker. You are in very good hands here. They take you into consideration and gently push your boundaries. I cant wait to go back!!

When they are busy, which is often since there are no other legitimate sushi joints around, the quality sinks to an abysmal level. And they are starting to use inferior products. Soft shell crab app. is a joke now. Just a bunch of shrapnel. Crabmeat is just fish. Reminds me of McNuggets. Too bad they sunk to such a low level. Obviously they think their customers are too stupid to notice. What a shame.

Okay! Sushi in Ogden Utah, of all places? Right! How about voted the best sushi in Utah? Now were talking! And I mean let the sushi do the talking! This place is just unreal! But get your reservations! And get them early! Once you get there, you wont want to leave. Some of the best staff and owners Ive ever met anywhere! When we are in Ogden, we are at Tona Sushi! And see them on Facebook too!

Have been to Tonas a couple of times and I am looking forward to my next visit! The first time I had a bento box and shared a sushi roll and everything was wonderful! The next time I went with my family and we ordered numerous sushi rolls and the some sashimi. They came up from some Salt Lake and were very impressed with the quality of the food. Everything was delicious!

So personally, I dislike sushi very much. But like others out there I have friends that love it! I want to give this place props for having things that non sushi lovers will still enjoy! You absolutely have to get the potstickers here. They are to die for!!! Thanks Tona for not forgetting those of us whos adult taste buds havent quite developed yet!

The fish was bad, that is hard to believe Every restaurant has a little bit might be bad but, even La Dome in L.A. in West Hollywood the$$$$$ French old world has a bad plate. TONA SUSHI Is the freshest SUSHI I have had from Ogden to Aspen all in land and freshest, as if you were in Laguna Beach.if you have not tried TONA DO. Calvin Stracener

Great food and service. I recommend the oyster shooters or the calamari for an appetizer, so far as everything else goes you cant go wrong. The owners ensure that all the food is prepared perfectly and I believe one actually stopped at my table to inquire about the meal. Best sushi experience Ive had in Utah and better than most in Seattle.

Absolutely loved it. Great environment. Great food. The service was awesome, thanks Wess (he was our waiter). We had to get 2 of the lobster tail specials because my wife loved the first one so much. My wife who is not a sushi fan also loved it, she had the beef teriyaki and was a huge fan. Thanks for helping us celebrate our anniversary.

I honestly have been to a variety of different sushi restaurants in the U.S. I came to Ogden Utah to attend a funeral and came here afterwards. The atmosphere and customer service was amazing and the presentation, temperature and flavor of food was exceptional. I wish I was able to come here on a weekly basis, but do not live in Utah.
