I had dinner last evening at Napoli Pizza & Restaurant. A welcome departure from the Italian restaurant Id eaten at the night before. But thats covered in another review. Napoli Pizza has been serving up wonderful Sicilian & Neapolitan pizzas & Italian dishes since 1967. All under the direction of the same great family. Many thanks to them. Last night I had a bowl of Rhode Island clam chowder that easily ranks in the top three that Ive ever had. A great flavor, without being too salty, but having a good ratio of clams to potatoes to celery, etc. It was a special last evening. I hope they make it a regular menu option. The spaghetti with sausage entree I had was preceded by a nice, warm, fresh, small loaf of Italian bread with butter. A small garden salad that had my preferred iceburg lettuce, sliced grape tomatoes, cucumbers, slices of radish, as well as black & green olives was the perfect lead in to my main dish. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, with a sauce Ive grown to know very well over the last 48 years Ive been a patron here. Well seasoned, not thin and watery, but with just a hint of sweetness. The sausage, as always, was plentiful, cooked perfectly, and sliced on a bias, the way I think it should be. Wonderful. I purposely didnt finish my meal, so I could have dessert. There was plenty to bring home, even after eating about half. For dessert I asked for a slice of cheesecake. I asked my server if there might be some fruit to top it with. She said they had a strawberry glaze offered. "Sounds great!" The glaze came in a separate little china cup for me to top it with as I liked. Nice touch! The glaze absolutely made the difference! My server was a delight from beginning to end. So glad I went to Napoli Pizza for dinner!

High hopes but alas...The owner rung me out and he was so nice (extra star). He gave me a slice of eggplant bread for the road home. Right away I could smell something I didnt like but couldnt put my finger on it yet. When I got home and opened the pizza box, there it was again! Who puts chopped bay leaves on pizza! So disappointed! The smell and flavor permeated my virgin Margherita! My Neopolitan grandmother would turn over. One bay leaf in a sauce would be enough to get you fired from her kitchen.They sprinkled a generous mix of dried herbs all over a perfectly beautiful pie! Same with our Fra Diavolo. Yuck! If they stuck with fresh basil and a little olive oil, it would have been a great find! Let good ingredients speak for themselves. Your business would be booming! I hate writing reviews like this one. So sorry Napoli! I usually give places another shot but I still have a bad taste in my mouth.

For a place that has been open for as long as they have it would be safe to assume that they have a customer friendly restaurant. Management is only interested in serving their OWN needs rather than the needs to the community when a toddler and two aduts arrive at 9:30PM to be seated for a pizza and are told by one employee that they are open and another that they areclosed. In reality they close at 10PM. This because someone is too lazy to bus a table! Clearly, they do not need business. It all worked out though! Illianos in Middletown is <15minutes away. Closes their DOORS at 11. MUCH better pizza. MUCH better service. Dont even WASTE your time and money on Napoli!!!!

The food at the Wallingford location is amazing and for the most part the staff is nice and great to deal with. This review is for the Napoli in the Meriden,CT location. Its great that they deliver and we enjoy the food (DOES NOT hold up to the food in Wallingford and VERY small menu) their customer service at this location flat out sucks! I hate ordering and the woman who answers the phone is so rude!! I keep hoping she quits so we dont have to deal with her or they get someone new she is HORRIBLE to deal with!!!! She always sounds like you are bothering her no matter how pleasant you are!!

The food is so good I love there pizza so much however I went there after a concert and I was with my friends and the waitress was horrible to us after we ordered our drinks she gave us the drinks and literally threw the straws at us and walked away and then what really made me mad was she was so kind and sweet to the other tables maybe because she knew them but it was so rude and she smacked the pizza on the table and walked away

So i would love to give this place 4 maybe even 5 stars, the food & pizza are extremely good, but every time i go here i get the worst waitress ever she is the most unfriendly miserable person i have ever encountered in a customer service job. In fairness it is only one waitress but because of her I would only go here if there were no other options which is a shame because the food is good!

Napoli is by far my favorite local pizza restaurant. It is as close to a NY slice that you will find without travelling to downtown New Haven. Despite other reviews, the staff is usually very accomodating, however it does get busy on weekends and you may have to wait. Also, their Sicilian pizza is one of the best Ive ever tried. Nothing but good things to say about Napoli!

The first thing is that this is one of the better pizza places I have tried in the area, and I find the staff to be extremely pleasant, I eat here at least twice a month. This is a thinner, lighter style of pizza. The calzones are also quite good.

I really love eating here for lunch or dinner. The owners are from Naples Italy and take great pride in their food and service. I would highly recommend checking this restaurant out. Also great outdoor seating with Italian music!

This place has become somewhat of a Wednesday lunch tradition for my kids and I. The staff is friendly and considerate, the atmosphere is comfortable, decor is beautiful, and the pizza is perfect.

YUM and open Mondays unlike half the pizza shops in Wallyworld. Great pies with great ingredients, cooked perfectly. Havent tried other foods here.
