This place is not deserving of even one star!!! Had to choose one to post my review....... This was my first time visiting Sandbar (Chandler location). I am new to AZ and I am just trying new places to get familiar with the AZ life. The service and establishment is horribly ran. From the hostess (??), waitress (Arianna) to the manager on duty (Trev). I waiting 1 1/2 hours just to be acknowledged by the waitress to place my first drink (liquor) and food order. Another 1 1/2 to get a refill (liquor). The tacos were dry and "lamp" warm. The ladies room...well let me tell you. I was better off going outside. After two drinks in I was done!!! This is the killing part. Bills were brought out for those at the table. Everyones bill was WRONG! So after standing with the manager for thirty minutes to straighten out the bills my bill was $22.71. I signed my receipt and clearly wrote 0 (thats zero) on the tip line. So when I checked my account someone had the NERVE to give themselves a $4.00 tip! Really.........Ok I know my bill wasnt that much but the service was HORRIBLE! When I called to dispute the charge. The manager on duty (Tim) stated that it was a mistake!!!! I said "NO TIM that was done deliberately you have a copy of the receipt I signed and it clearly shows that a 0 (zero) was written on the tip line along with my initials, correct?" His response was "YES" Yes he is refunding the tip but that is FRAUD! Needless to say I will NEVER patron the Sandbar (Chandler location) EVER!!!!!*******ALERT ALERT please check your receipts!!!!********** Its now March 23,2016. I posted this review on March 03, 2016 when I spoke to Tim the manager on duty about reversing the tip that was fraudulently added to slip. He pulled the charges and admitted that on the tip line $0 was written. So when I called to inquire on why this had not been taken care of in the time frame he gave me (3-5 days) his excuse is that he passed to on to his manager and this should have been taken care of. I explained my bank does not show ANYTHING be submitted by Sandbar.***********BEWARE when paying with your card at the SANDBAR CHANDLER or anywhere for that matter************

My Boss is the nicest person I ever worked for, she was having a tough week. 18 of us friends decided to take her to Sand Bar to cheer her up.One of her friends, Jen (Owner of Sumit Yoga in Chandler), even got a cabana for all of us, thats how good of a friends she has because of the kind of person she is. Throughout the night she had to keep answering her phone due to the matter with her family over seas. Towards the end of the night around 1;15am`1:30am she called us and told us she wasnt allowed back in the bar. When we asked her why she said as she walked outside to answer her international call guy that stood by the door with glasses told her she couldnt take her drink outside so she put it in the trash that was right next to the guy ( he wasnt dressed same as all the other bouncers ) thinking that is what he asked her to do. After that he told her that she wasnt allowed beck because of what she did with her drink and when she told him but thats what you asked me to do he completely ignored her from that point. There was absolutely nothing she did wrong, she wasnt drunk, she was the same graceful Lady she always is. When we all came out since she was the whole reason we were all there we thought maybe she misunderstood this person when she put her drink in the trash but that was the only thing as you walk out where the drink could have been put to, there was no table to put it on anywhere near. Between all of us we spend a lot of money here and we wouldnt even be there is it wasnt for her. She was seriously mistreated by this guy and my best explanation is probably because she is exceptionaly beautiful and he was just on some self serving power trip. Not cool not cool at all.

On May 5, at approximately 11 p.m., my girlfriend went to Sandbar Mexican Grill with her friends for a few drink and was very disturbed by the way she was treated an employee of this establishment. My girlfriend approached the bar to order drinks and the bartender responded with "free drinks, let me see your boobs". My girlfriend insisted that she be charged for her drinks. The bartender then hand gestured toward my girlfriend to flash him, as if he himself was to lift his shirt up. She was repulsed and informed the man that she would not be conducting herself in that manner. Two of her friends witnessed this encounter. The bartender was working at the bar by the entrance. She described the bartender as a white male, reddish hair, with a short beard. My girlfriend is still disturbed from this encounter and felt sexually harassed. She could not believe that a representative of this establishment would make her feel uncomfortable and violated. I am sure these actions are not condoned by Sandbar Mexican Grill but you are what you tolerate. We will no longer be returning to this establishment.

Love, Love LOVE going on Friday and Saturday nights!! Sandbar has a great up-beat atmosphere where you can dress up in heals, or sit back and relax in your favorite flippy floppys! They always have good music on and even turn the sound on for the saturday UFC fights (only a $5 cover at the door!). Service staff is always helpful and friendly and when the kitchen closes they have an AMAZING taco stand for those late-night cravings. YUM! I hate driving far away to get out and have a couple drinks with friends.. especially with the heavy hand of AZ laws, so Sandbars always-accommodating taxi service that hangs out in front of the building is IDEAL when youve had too many ;) I recommend Sandbar to everyone I meet, as they always have an awesomely eclectic crowd. Great experiences overall!!!

coming from new york a few years back Ive always thought Mill was the closest to the good nightlife for me...well i went there the first time this weekend looking for something new and now Im mad it took this long to check it out because this place is amazing! for being one restaurant/bar it has everything therel! i guess i was lucky that my friends invited me on a thursday night..apparently it was ladies night because the nachos i ordered with a margarita were both half off!! i was only planning on staying for dinner but ended up staying til deep in the evening because i wanted to know what the hype was about...let me just put it this way i only left before 2 because my feet hurt from DANCING =) ps: anyone know if youre allowed to stick your feet in the pool? haha...

REVENGE OF THE DOUCHE BAGS!! The douchy Scottsdale wanna-be waiter took forever to get to our table. Hes all grins to the cute girls at our table and wont acknowledge any guy. I could see one of the managers sitting at the bar drinking. Probably off her shift, but kind of pathetic that shes there in her spare time. Music was loud and spazzy. I appreciate a good mash-up too, but this stuff was just obnoxious. My guess is that the only reason this place gets business is because its the only game in town for the Chandler/Ahwatukee area. I dont know too many people that actually enjoy going here, but its probably the lesser of two evils (instead of driving to Scottsdale). PLEASE let there be more competition for a good bar/nightclub in this area!
