Ive been frequenting East China Inn(all 3 locations and the previous Wilson St location) since the mid/early 90s. The foods always been excellent, the service great. In all of these years I cant say that Ive ever left unsatisfied, and I cant ever remember a wrong order in all that time. The Mongolian Beef is one of my favorite dishes of any restaurant anywhere. The Kung Pao Chicken is also excellent. The Lo Mein and Wonton Soup are both head and shoulders better than any other establishment outside of Chinatown that Ive had. Despite having to drive half an hour to get there now, I will remain a loyal customer for years to come. Keep up the good work!

Good food, quick take-out service. Is it "authentic"? No idea but so far have loved all my choices! Mongolian beef, Egg Foo Yung, Tsos chicken. They will accept some ingedient modifications. Skip the almond cookies, not too fresh. Counter service can sometimes come with a curt attitude depending on whos waiting on you. One time had a yelp discount they were slow to accept but a manager was called and he approved it. Love the aquarium tank with large Koi which they keep meticulously clean. Havent eaten in here so no knowledge of the eat-in service. 4 stars for food, 3 stars for service.

My fiancee and I ate here a few weeks ago and we are still raving to everyone how wonderful our meal was. First off the staff is very kind and personable. The resturant is clean and modern and not dark and gloomy like other Chinese restaurants. Now on to the food. We ordered the Pick 2 dinner I think its called. Its dinner for 2 but you pick what you want for all 3 courses. We had pot sickers, egg rolls and soup to start and 2 main courses. EVERYTHING was the best we had both ever had! We will never eat Chinese at any other place!

I give this specific East China Inn a 1 star because the service was unfriendly towards us when we ordered. We went there to order to-go, and when we got our food we received no napkins and no silverware (chopsticks). Due to the lack of eating utensils we had to go to the local Panera which was kind enough to supply us with a fork and spoon. While we were waiting for our food we were being glared at by a server by the name of Romar. Very disrespectful...not pleased with the service. But, the food was okay.

The worst fare Batavia has to offer. Dark, thick salty goop disguising poor cuts of meat, overcooked rice and soggy noodles. I complained but there was a genuine lack of concern. In fact, I was challenged when I pointed to a cup of rice that was meant to have extra egg. Really? An egg? I especially admire the young staff handing take-out orders to customers while picking their teeth. Batavia has no other choice, so we suffer and smile. Wont someone save us?

This message is response to the previous review by Mr. Kyle Eggleston. I am the owner of East China Inn. We have been in business more than 20 years. Our establishments comply with all the codes with Kane County Health Dept. For your information, We did not received any citation from the Health Dept, so please dont spread any false rumor with you dont have all the facts.

Be careful here, East China Inn has been under scrutiny from the Health Department over the past few years. Hidden from the public of course. Ive heard of two separate occasions where federal employees issues health code citations to these guys. The food tastes good and prices are cheap, but it does make me wonder what goes on behind the kitchen doors.

Me and my family have been going to East China Inn for a long time. I have never once been disappointed by their food. Its easily the best chinese food Ive ever had and the prices are amazing for the portions that you get. The people there are always so nice and helpful. I love this place! I hope it is around forever!

Im done with this restaurant for good. This is one time to many that my general taos chicken tastes like sea food to the point that I cannot swallow it. Last time it was way way over cooked and the hair on my white rice was the las straw.

The food is as close to Chinese food from my younger days! Large portions at a good price and great service. Carry-out always correct and delicious. Sichuan style always fine tuned to our spicy delight!

In my opinion, one of the better Chinese places in the Batavia area. We typically get Orange Chicken, General Tso Chicken, and Crab Rangoon. They are good as leftovers the following day as well.

Terrible and overpriced. I waited over an hour. The delivery bag didnt even have utensils. I was unable to eat it and when I did the food was mediocre. Dont waste your time or money here.

My date always loves the food and wants to go back, but each time Ive been disappointed. I guess steer clear of the noodle dishes and go for the rice dishes.

My hubby and I come here for a quick, cheap lunch with good portions. Its the typical Chinese food menu. Always tasty and the food comes out fast.

Got our order wrong but acted like it was the kitchens fault so they didnt want to replace it? Strange. Food was so-so.

Probably the best Chinese food you can get around here. The General Taos is excellent along with beef and broccoli.
