I read others reviews, and I am clearly in the middle here. Is the food great, no, its definitely not. Are the fries greasy and do they taste like the fryers arent cleaned often, yeah folks, Im afraid so. Are the portions large, yes, very large. Are the beer and other specials priced reasonably, yes, they are. Was my service good? At the bar yes. Jennifer was "Johnny on the Spot" and always smiling. Reality check. This is a sports bar in the center of ASU. Its a predominately college hangout. It serves its purpose and audience. I had the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger, cooked medium. Their was so much sauce on the burger it had a life preserver attached to it. I like bacon cooked medium but raw is just too stringy for me. The fries. Wow! If I would have rung my fries out, I could have lubed my old ride for free. A lot of grease is an understatement. Still? Id go back for the rest of it. Its a good place to hangout and watch some sports and the bartenders take care of their customers.

Great atmosphere/location...Lousy to mediocre service...I go at least once a week to Zipps hoping to get the great food and service I got used to at other locations (mesa/scottsdale) but I am always left wanting more at this particular one...If the poor service incident happened only once then i would not be writing this review because I understand that things (mistakes) happen sometimes in the industry...however when it happens repeatedly every 4 out of 5 visits--well then issues need to be addressed by management or owners...The food is still mostly good with the occassional errors of warm beer, undercooked food and soggy burgers for instance, but there is a lot of work and attention to details to go...(staff is mostly unattentive and behave like there is more important things to do than to check on customers--for example cell phone usage while waitressing or bartending is an absolute no-no)...

The worst experience ever not coming back ! It was national wing day and it stated it o az central website zipps had 10 wings for $7 and some change and didnt specify a certain location and the manger didnt approve it and stated nope not this zipps. Not even that but we got asked so many times if we were 21 especially by other waitress and bus boys and ladys even when we had our drinks . Not only that but we were starred at hard while we sat down and tried to enjoy ourselves . They didnt give us our wings first instead they brought everything our separately and then got our wings not only that but we asked serval times for ranch even tho we agreed to pay extra for ranch sauce. .50 cents more assholes!!! Anyways not only that but the place was dirty we found a lot of employees standing around and not cleaning wings off the floor .

If I could give zero stars, I would. Went here with a group of friends and it was literally just us. I ordered a slice of pizza when we ordered our drinks. They came out with drinks, no pizza. They came out to take everyone elses food order, no pizza. They came out with everyone elses food (after waiting about 45 mins), still no pizza. My pizza came last and I had ordered it right away. My friend gets her salad, which was soggy, so she sent it back. They still charged her for it and she refused to pay for something she didnt eat so the manager called the cops and they forced her to pay and sent her home with a salad she didnt want. Terrible service. Will NEVER go back and I tell everyone I know to stay far away from this place. Oh and they got bad health code violations on the news. So if you decide to eat here, be careful.

I came in on a Thursday afternoon around 4 pm for some drinks. The drinks are why it gets 2 stars instead of 1 because damn the zipparitas are really good and affordable during happy hour. That being said this place has awful service. I sat at the bar and my bar tender couldnt have cared less about how I was enjoying my time there. After about an hour there she totally stopped serving me and focused on the other customers. I had to start ordering from the other bar tender because I could not get my original bar tenders attention. And it was not even busy. If you want good service and a nice bar tender, go somewhere else. Also I ordered fries and half of them were ICE COLD . I showed my bar tender and SHE DIDNT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

Service is lacking at best. Second time at Zipps, thought maybe a different location this time would be different but we were wrong. Food is sub par. There is a jack in the box across the street offering more flavorful, better quality food (I dont like jack in the box) Drink prices are okay but not good for happy hour. Fries were served cold but tasted pretty alright. Staff could work on restaurant cleanliness. Black and blue burger was drowned in liquid blue cheese with nothing else on it. 1000 island dressing on the 1000 island burger is overbearing. If youre drunk, I suppose this could be a last resort, otherwise I recommend staying away.

Came in around 11 p..m. With my boyfriend on a Friday night. We sat in the non drinking section just for a quick bite. Ariel our waitress was sweet and helpful. But the bald ginger bearded security guard rudely disrupted us while we were waiting for our food telling me "we need to make sure we stay awake" I thought it was rude considering I was completely sober and bored waiting for his resturaunts food. The managers were completely unhelpful and looked at me for what they should do in the situation. Unprofessional, inconsiderate, and not to mention the shape of the dining room. all together the horrific experience had me leaving in tears.

Had a great experience here on a Sunday night. #1 they have the Pac12 Network. Duh...this is ASU territory!! If you dont have the PAC12 Network youre a loser bar owner!! But, Im also a Mexican food aficionado and the tacos here for $6.95 (not on Happy Hour btw), were awesome! Now lets be clear, theres 100 different ways to make tacos. Im just saying this is a lot of good tasting food for the price!! I got the chicken and beef tacos mix with lettuce on the bottom. Very tasty, lots of food for the price, and well, Im not going to say authentic Mexican, but just my tastebuds taking here...ok?

Got a chicken sandwich and fries. Fries had no flavor and no salt, honestly some of the worst fries Ive had in a while. Chicken sandwich was also subpar - chicken was too firm, they forgot lettuce (how do you forget lettuce when its only lettuce, tomato, and cheese on it?) and there was wayyyyy too much barbecue sauce on it. Too messy. Was not impressed at all. Only giving 2/5 because our server was friendly and the service was relatively quick. Edit: Hi Tiffany, cant respond to your post. It was that sandwich - I asked for the onion ring to be replaced with lettuce and tomato.

I walked in hoping to get lunch in a relaxing, quiet atmosphere. I walked in and wondered if they were open, despite it being noon (they open at 11) but I quickly saw people sitting at the bar. I stood there waiting to be seated, since they didnt have signs saying to seat yourself. After about 5-7 minutes of people walking close enough to see me without saying anything, I just said forget about it. If you cant even take the time to seat me in a timely fashion, theres no point in trying to eat there Clearly the people who had "great service" werent there for lunch.
