We just finished our meal at Sandbar, Desert Ridge, and were extremely disappointed. We will NOT return. First the GOOD NEWS: (1) The queso dip was great, though the accompanying chips were nothing special. (2) The mini chimis appetizer was also quite tasty. Now the BAD NEWS: (1) We had two orders of fajitas, both of which were sadly lacking in chicken, though overflowing with onions and peppers to make the plate look full. We were digging through the layers trying to find the few pieces of chicken underneath. (2) The waiter did not write down our order, and one dinner came misprepared. The corrected order did not come until the others had completely finished their meals. (3) A side order requested at the time of the original order also did not arrive until the corrected meal came. (4) We were quoted a price for the side order, and were billed double that amount, as well as an unexpected extra charge for a single additional tortilla requested for the fajitas. There was no compensation offered for the meal or the side that were served after everyone else was finished eating. (5) The price was too high for the amount of food actually provided. (6) We sat on the patio in pleasant weather, but smokers at the table next to us polluted our air. (7) There is no patio lighting, and we not only had difficulty seeing our food toward the end of the meal, but we had to pull out a flashlight to take care of paying the bill. (8) Sandbar is loud. Adios!

In my life, I dont think Ive ever had worse service or experienced a less friendly environment. My friend and I have been there twice now and both times, we just didnt get seated. The hostesses basically glared at us with contempt and all but ignored us when we asked to be seated. I dont know how else to describe it... So, not getting the hint that we were not welcome, we ended up finding a bar table and seating ourselves and watched as waitresses actively avoided us while serving the tables around us. Although it didnt appear as though our neighboring tables fared too much better, but still... After about an hour, a young man helped us out for the rest of our time there. That was the first time. The second (and final) time we went, we were told we would have to wait 40 mins for a table unless we found a bar table. We found one, then were told we couldnt sit there because some people were on their way to claim it. We sat there dumbfounded for a few minutes, then left. Maybe all of this is excusable if the hostesses and servers were at least polite about it. But to be honest, almost everyone working here is the rudest individual anyone would ever hope to meet. Idk. Unless you are a young man that catches the eye of one of the hostesses, I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

HORRIBLE service. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Brett "served" us. Everyone at the table was clearly over 21 but despite that he spent at least 30 seconds looking at each card; bending each ID back and forth multiple times while staring at each person, looking back between the IDs and our faces. He then proceeded to take over 15 minutes getting our drinks while at the same time security came up and checked our IDs for a second time; this time holding a flashlight behind each ID to check if they were real. The security goons then told us that we "have baby faces" so it was a normal to re-check our IDs. Nothing like being profiled and insulted at dinner. As if that wasnt enough trouble, they kick us out of the table because there was apparently a reservation; while at the same time bringing out the food that we had ordered, expecting us to stand and eat while we waited for another table (open seating) to become available. Icing on the cake was that security stood directly in front of the exit and refused to move as we all squeezed through them one by one on the way out. Needless to say, none of us will be going to Sandbar again. Go to any other bar and youll get better service.

I came for a drink and some dinner. And witnessed the following. A girl passed out right next to our table her bf attempts to walk her out but is too weak. The staff freaks out calls 911. You can clearly see shes just too drunk. They sit and cuddle on the floor next to my table for about 10min. The paramedics finally arrive and get her up, revealing a puddle of piss on floor 2ft from our table. One of the waiters throws a bar towel on it and starts spreading it around a bit. A bouncer comes over and puts a stool on it and when me and my friends make a comment about the piss stain next to floor he proceeds to rudely shoosh us. Another staff member comes over and wipes a mop over it 2 or 3 times and walks away. Needles to say we lost our appetite. I have never seen staff handled a situation worse. There was still plenty of pee on the floor i dont understand how that is acceptable in a restaurant. Absolutely disgusting. The manager needs to train the staff how to better deal with drunks it was ridiculous.

Went in for supper on a Thursday night and was very displeased. Our waitress was very good at being sly to get her ticket sale up. It was our first time in and asked a lot of questions so there was no question we had never been there before. After she brought us our drinks she asked about appetizers and gave us the happy hour list. Then we found, on our own, a second "ladies night" list that had cheaper prices so we went with it. She kept repeating back that we wanted the most expensive appetizer which is not what we said. After she walked away to put it in we went up to her to confirm that she was putting what we wanted and she was not. THEN she offered to bring us complimentary chips and salsa. Very shady to offer it after the appetizer and when we were ready to order. We were unaware that there was complimentary chips and salsa which is why we ordered an appetizer. We ordered and the food really wasnt that good. The waitress was just extremely shady in how she serviced us. We wont be back for that fact.

Disappointment and didnt even get to try the food which I was super excited to try. We were going to go for the first time SuperBowl Sunday because we are not from here and wanted a place to watch the game and have some good food. Every time we pass it its super busy and seems like a great place. Today we walked in and a nice lady asked where we wanted to sit while a lady next to her was on the phone, the lady got off the phone and stated that there is a $300 per table today. I informed her that I called earlier (for this exact reason) and asked if their was going to be a cover or additional cost today because it was Super Bowl and I was informed that their was not. She stated with a additude that they had just decided it because they are getting so many reservations. $300 for a small round table that fits 2 people smh... we are getting ready to spend about $300 on food and drinks the entire time. Definitely not. We went across the parking lot to Majerles and are happier here!
