My wife and I went to Golden Corral today for the first time in a few years. We have been going to Chuck-a-Rama a lot lately. We should have stuck with Chuck-a-Rama. Our experience started out with the family in front of us. They were practically served with a cold shoulder. Our service was no different. We were not greeted with a smile, instead, we were greeted with "What do you want to drink?" We were given our drinks and pressed down the assembly line and given our total. Told to sign the receipt. And that was it. No enjoy your meal, nothing else. My wife and I went to our table and decided we would like a car seat holder for our daughter. I asked a waitress for some assistance and she said they do not have a car seat holder, but booster chair. She brought me the booster chair and turned it over for me to set the car seat on. That was the last time we saw our waitress until we had a large pile of plates on our table and our drinks were empty. She brought us a refill and took our plates. There was no other mention of service to be had. There was a one person who worked there, was not a waitress, but a cleaning lady. The cleaning lady came up and told us how precious our little girl was. Her smile, was the only smile I saw on any of the workers faces. Food wise, the food was fairly decent. Unlike Chuck-a-Rama, we were charged separate for our drinks and had to stick with the drink we chose. The reason this got at least 2 stars, is because the steak was decent and the dessert was delightful. Overall, I do not recommend Golden Corral to anyone.

To start out the food was over cooked. Out of a lot of things. Went to ask a lady a question working at the meat cutting and she could not understand English I repeated twice therefor I just walked away. Then I approached another worker there who could understand English but spoke Spanish to the manager to answer my question. It was very frustrating as an American to have to deal with people that work in the public that does not understand the English language. Called the manager to explain how upsetting it was and she said she understood where I was coming from, but also said I was being disrespectful, I was the one being disrespected having to waste my time away from our dinner party. I am not trying to be racist but, your workers should not be in the public if they cannot speak or understand our language. That goes for any language. I will not come back to this establishment again not for only, not be able to be understood but by the managers disrespect.

I took my grandson. It was $22.00. We were greeted by a grumpy guy. I asked if I paid him. He motioned to a lady a few feet away. She didnt put my change in my hand. It fell on the tray. She didnt say, thank you. We found a table. We wasnt given straws and we couldnt find any. Our Sprites tasted weird. The food looked like it had been sitting awhile. Turned out we didnt have a server. Our tray sat on our table for 30 minutes. My grandsons roast beef was bloody. Finally, a lady came up and said, she was sorry and was our server but didnt know it. Ha ha (not funny) Dinner rolls were cold. The restrooms were filthy. They were not filling food trays. We did get new drinks and my green salad was good. The night before we had went to Chuck a Rama. No comparison at all. Bad attitudes and food. I will never go there again.

Four words: All you can eat. Always a good assortment, but for some reason its like the standards have fallen recently and the food wasnt that great the past two times we went, and the servers we had seemed like they had better things to do OTHER than assist us. (One server even went to the drink refill refill area, squatted down like she was getting something, and proceeded to text on her phone for a good 5 minutes). Not happy at all with the last two visits. Substandard to downright nasty food, and crappy service for my family and myself, none of us will be going back anytime soon unless GC does something to make this right.

I dont go there personally, but my coworker informed me today about the horrible experience he had. The bacon was the microwavable crap, and the sausage had more grease then there was actually sausage. After taking a break from the food, he needed to go to the bathroom, were one of the toilets was overflowing to the point that there was standing water. He also informed me that he used to love going to this location (even more than the Layton) but within the last year the food, customer service, and all around cleanliness has declined quite severely!

I went here after work with my family, and it was so awful that I will never go back. The food was old, undercooked, over priced, and to top it off, the sweet tea tasted like sweet soapy water. Puke. My husband talked with the manager, and he did absolutely NOTHING. Its very upsetting to see management not take responsibility for their services. I do not recommend this location due to a lack of appreciation for consumers and a lack of quality. Maybe if the price were 5.00 a person. .. Ive been to cheaper restaurants with higher quality.

Crazy expensive Lunch and dinner prices cost me almost 18$ for one person, wont ever go here again during those times. Food is 10/10 quality for a buffet really great job making eveything tasty except the hard boiled eggs get dry a lot. One of the waitresses gave me a bunch of mean looks, have no clue why. Other than that I would come here for breakfast all the time. A lot of old people come here for some reason, spending that retirement money on buffets, lol.

Food is delicious, we havent been in one in a bit over 4 years, we visited one in Utah around 8, service was awful, family of 7 military, we had to go to cashier to ask for refill every single time, no replenish of food when its open for one more hour and those -.50 cents military discount was a great addition as well, overall just please keep the place, kitchen, and service properly woking until close time :) that will be greatly appreciated for a next time.

Everything there was over salted it was disgusting

Dishes were dirty, half of the containers were empty, really poor quality. Normally eat in Layton however customers were lined up out the door, so we thought wed go to the Ogden one to see if we would be in for a treat instead we go and have the worst experience paying 70.00. Spoke with the night manager and all he could do is offer 2 free meals. I know my family will not be going back to that one. And notifying the health department
