I must say, Chuck-A-Rama is better than I remembered. Its been many years. My 37 year-old son (he was c. 17 the last time we were in a Chuck-A-Rama together) wanted to go there for his birthday lunch. This location has nothing to answer for: everything was excellent. "The Choice Is Yours!" Thats at the bottom of the reservation slip. "You aint just a kiddin!" Thats what I say (and what I wrote on the bottom of the reservation slip). The offerings are many and all appetizing to look at. There is no way that you can go to this restaurant and not find something that youre in the mood for. Staff were friendly, everything was clean, help was offered often. The food was so good that my son couldnt resist stuffing BBQ ribs and dessert into his backpack. Yeah, I know: "theft", "Verboten!" I told him the universe is in balance, because I would make sure he wasnt stealing. On my way out I paid for a dinner to cover the cost of his excessive (spelled appreciative) appetite. Birthday outing lunches, or dinners, only come once a year, after all. We both agreed that Chuck-A-Rama, at least this one, is better than it ever was before.

I just arrived here in SLC and was looking for a good buffet in town and found this place. The Servers are always on top of things and very curious. I just moved here from Las Vegas the home of buffets and this place is as good as The Luxor or Excalibur Casino on The Strip in Las Vegas. Yeah you might have to get your own drinks and silverware but its worth the time and money. Please if you are seriously looking for an honest review and not just a bunch crybabies whining about things like this please come here and try it for yourself.

This is the 2nd time Ive been to this specific location and both times, the food was great, the service was good and the place is nice and clean. I love All-you-can-eat establishment places because I love to eat and I enjoy the company. These guys had fish, gravy, ham, roast, fruits, vegetables, dessert, the works! Now in most of my reviews of eateries, I mention the restroom because for me, after the food the restroom has to be clean. And this place, had nice and clean restrooms. Take your family, well worth the spend.

Disappointing. I am from Colorado, and this place was recommended to me by a local. The buffet is deceptively small, made to appear larger by mirrors. The salad bar was pretty good, and the fruit was fresh. However, the hot food was severely lacking in quality and selection. Between my family and myself, we sampled almost everything, and found nothing enjoyable. Golden Corral blows this place away, and that is a sad testament. One positive aspect is the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

We recently ate lunch here the other day and both myself and my mother ended up very sick with food poisoning today. Neither of us could get away from the porcelain thrones for more than two seconds well into the night and the morning, and had major stomach cramps the world has ever seen. Service was decent and food tasted good at least going in for the most part in a few different varieties but not worth getting sick over.

Well, for $15 bucks a person on a Wednesday, I would expect MUCH better... Selection was terrible. I mean, really bad. Basically no choice. The food was cheap as hell. Frozen pizza warmed up, poor quality fried chicken. The fries were good, and so was the Polish sausage. But everything else felt it was poor quality. And the small selection made it worse. My fiance has a salad, and desert... That was it. I wont come back.

Dont come between 12 and 2pm. Too over crowded. Couldnt find a place to sit. Had to wait for a table to be cleaned. Sat down and the family next to us was playing Uncle Donald had a farm and Itsy Bitsy Spider the entire time. Also too many kids with their hands on the food and in the way. Parents dont control their children and they run wild. Food is good but not great. Taco meat and home made pizza suck!

Fantastically horrible. Each successive dish I tried worked hard to convince me to stop eating. I thought surely there must be something good, the best I got was OK. the chicken and the Apple sauce were OK. The tomato soup was curdled somehow, and the fried rice was burnt. Those are just a few of the dishes I tried. The service was good though, friendly waiters and hostesses.

I didnt have high hopes for the place but some how it still managed to disappoint me. And by gosh how hard is it for the workers to clean a dang table, I sat down, rested my arms on the table and got sticky crap all over myself. I have a kitchen and dining table at home like most people so I understand fully how simply it is to wipe or clean a flat surface of any gunk.

I can always find something to eat here, which is really nice when you are picky. One of my favorite things is as a mostly solo diner the wait staff is pretty good at not bugging me. Ive been to other places where the wait staff feel bad Im dining alone and feel it their duty to talk to me. I appreciate that this place does not do that.

Love this chuck-a-rama. There was quite the assortment of food and the servers were pretty nice. It took a while to get us seated but it was during their rush hour so its understandable. I think overall this is a great location, not too much to complain about, the food is pretty good, they do try hard to keep the food filled.

A bit pricey for what you get unless you have 6 children under 8 to feed. The salad bar is nice. The meats selection is decent, but the side selection is severely lacking. Also, there is zero room to move around. You are constantly bumping into people at the the buffet area. Overall, not a very enjoyable experience.

I get in the mood for a buffet occasionally. I am almost always disappointed. I decided to try Chuck-A-Rana. This place is surprisingly good. The food isnt dry from the heat lamps, its clean, and they keep everything filled. I can say this is one buffet I would come back to.

Like Golden Corral but quality over quantity. I wish theyd alternate their daily specials so I could try their Chuckwagon and Oriental, since I never get a chance to go on Tues or Wed. Fish Friday and Italian Saturday are still pretty great though. Love the sticky buns.

My kids love this place we took my sons there for their birthday weekend and it was the best the awesome staff came and sang to them with a special oreo rootbeer float and candles!!! The food is great we always leave stuffed!!! Waitress are so sweet!!!

Quite good for an American food buffet. Easy to access, no lines, and none of the food looked like it had been sitting out all day. I may not become a regular here but it will be in the radar when considering places to eat.

This place is really gone down hill. The food is all average, and anything that you want is out. Unless you go during an unconventional time, or you really want to fill up on the salad bar... Its not worth the buffet price.
