We moved to the area last year and like so many, we had to frequent the ubiquitous Starbucks, mainly due to the lack of anything else. We came from Brisbane, Australia where the gourmet coffee culture is probably the most well developed globally so really missed a good coffee. Barbarossa saved us from having to load burnt coffee with syrups and cream to hide the taste (Starbucks) by providing exquisitely smooth and full flavoured coffee with excellent and personal service and a huge range of speciality blends and single origins to choose from. If you want to taste coffee without adding sacrilegious sugary flavours this is the place to go. Exceptional coffee, made by coffee lovers, for coffee lovers.

If you are serious about the strength and the the flavor in your coffee , this is the place. They have been open less than a month. The owners are from Turkey, and they offer customers the option of picking their own beans from 16 different single-roast origins. I picked a mocha , and it was probably the best mocha of my life. Usually a mocha is drowned in the sweetness of the chocolate, but the espresso balanced out the sweetness. Locally owned coffee shops are rare in this part of town, so I am happy they opened up. Will be coming back often !

Im super excited to have a top-notch coffee shop in this part of town. These guys are passionate about coffee, are extremely friendly, and have very comfortable, upscale digs. Its also owner operated, and all these attributes manifest themselves in the product and experience–the coffee is great. Lots of variety–I had the latte, the Turkish, and black from the Aeropress over the course of one afternoon. Laid back as well, not just for coffee snobs. Parking is easy and there are good restaurants nearby.

Just finished my third coffee in a week and Im usually a once a week kind of gal. So glad for this new business to finally be open. I always drink lattes and Barbarossas espresso is so smooth and delicious. Great value for the price. Close to my house and convenient location-easy to get in and out. Staff is friendly and knowledgable-support small business!

I came here with a friend a few days ago. Its a great atmosphere with really nice staff/owners who made sure we had a great experience. I ordered a large cappuccino and hoped it would be in a mug, but was actually put in a to-go cup, which dampened my expectations. I also bought a blueberry cheese danish which was very delicious, and large enough to share!

This coffee shop is amazing! This is the best cup of coffee Ive found in the NW Houston area. Ive lived in Spring for years before Barbarossa opened, I had to drive to Houston for good coffee shops. No more! The coffee is great, the space is neat, quiet and clean, and it is a great place to meet friends or to read/browse on your laptop. I love it here!

Today was my first experience with Barbarossa, and Im so impressed with the quality and taste of their coffee. The owner and barista were both knowledgeable and extremely friendly. This is the kind of coffee shop I would expect to see in the Heights or Montrose district! Super happy to have such a high quality coffee shop right in my backyard.

Great place for a coffee experience. The two gentleman from Turkey who run the place offer excellent coffee & great customer service. I went with the Chemex method of brewing coffee for the first time & was treated to a first class cup of coffee. I will definitely be back.

So delicious oh my goodness this place is so awesome and tastes amazing. I came in and I got all of this! Look how pretty this is. The coffee was not acidic at all and was one of the best experiences Ive had with any coffee shop. 10/10. The barista was super sweet too!

My latte was beyond perfect. Im so excited to have a coffee shop in the area. What makes this place so awesome is that they have 16 different brewing methods. More than likey by the end of the month I would have tried them all. Cant wait to return!!!!

Great coffee and the service and space itself are both warm and inviting. Its nice that their hours are longer than most other places in the area who are closed on Sundays or close early. This is my new favorite indie coffee shop!

They are very different than other coffee shop .. if you want to try such as siphon, Chemex,v60, and Turkish coffee you should stop at the barbarossa coffee... they are really professional.. you can find about coffee all of them.
