Food is fine. The owners have done little to train their staff. I have never been in a restaurant with so little supervision. I have been there many times. They act as if they are forced labor. They never smile or even say hello. They come by and grab the ordering form and run away. They do not come back to check on you even if you are the only patron in the restaurant. They return to grab their money and tip at the end with not even a thank you or how was everything. The owners are to blame, not the servers who appear to have just arrived in this country. I fear this business will not survive. That is a shame because the quality of the food, although inconsistent, is better than other buffets. The blame will fall on the owners who clearly have made no attempt to create any kind of positive atmosphere to bring customers back. Tip to owner- train someone to greet customers, teach servers proper etiquette and encourage servers not to give the appearance of indifference. Smiling is easy.

I have always enjoyed Firudo. However, lately their customer service and meal quality have been sub-par. The staff answering the phone do not have manners or respect for their customers. As a frequent diner, I expect to be treated with respect. The last meal I ordered came incorrectly and they manager refused to cooperate when I called to let them know. The staff was very immature by hanging up while I was speaking, putting me on hold and never returning, ignoring my phone calls, and seeming like their mistake was not their problem. Not only was it steak instead of salmon, but there were 6 piece of dried-up, cold meat. I refused to pay for an additional meal and the manager and staff fought me and shouted at me during our conversations. The current staff and managers are not equipped with interpersonal skills or decision making strategies necessary for running a business. The organization is very unorganized. Employees are rude and immature. I do not plan on dining with Firudo in the future.

This is my favorite sushi place in Syracuse. I always stuff myself to bursting with the all you can eat sushi and the ramen comes out in a huge piping hot bowl just like I would expect in a noodle stand in japan. I have a severe shellfish allergy and I always notice the care the chef puts in to separately preparing my food with knives that havent touched shellfish. Weve come here tons of times and they just seem to get better and better each visit. They are always adding new things to the menu for us to try and will even make things not on the menu that weve had there in the past and remembered. And I dont know how they get such fresh fish this far inland! The all you can eat sushi is a fri- Sun special and mon-thurs there is 1/2 priced sushi. They also do happy hours!

I have never been treated more poorly than I had last week. The owner of Firudo is a terror. I was enjoying our "all you can sushi" with my friends, until the owner said that we could not order anymore sushi. I was surprised, since you go to "All You Can Eat" to eat a ton. The final roll was served to us with no fish, as she ordered her chef to refuse to make us anymore sushi. Following the meal I approached her and asked her why. She started going on a 5 minute rant pointing out our receipt, saying that we ordered too much. I was going to give this place 5 stars, but after this tirade I will never set food in Firudo again.

Went for sushi with a girlfriend. They offer half-price sushi rolls Monday through Thursday. We each got five rolls (including one special roll), and with tip, paid $16 each! But the food was delicious! The mango roll was super tasty. None of the rolls were disappointing. The atmosphere was family friendly, but quiet enough for a date night. The staff was friendly and attentive, but not pushy. Our waitress was helpful in selecting different rolls from what we normally eat. Planning on going back very soon.

So much food. So much. I always eat until I am ready to explode when I go here, and I never have any regrets. The sushi is good. Not amazing, but definitely way higher quality than you would believe from an all you can eat place. Note that the sushi is made when you order it, so it isnt just sitting around getting salmonella. Also, their crab ragoons are worth the price alone. Service is occasionally slow. I would definitely recommend going at lunch both to beat the crowd and take advantage of the cheaper pricing.

The sushi here is top notch. Coming on the weekend for the buffet you really cant go wrong. The only thing I cant speak for is the hibachi, simply because Ive never ordered it, but Im sure its fantastic like everything else. Food comes out fast and accurate even when it is packed. They always accommodate my girlfriend who has food allergies, and weve never had to stab her with an epipen, the attention to detail is much appreciated. If you want sushi in Syracuse, this is the place to go.

Good fixed price for all you can eat sushi, sashimi, tempura, other Asian dishes. Several servers do not have good English skills, but are courteous. Ordering is via paper slips, so weak server English skills is not a problem in most cases, and other employees with strong English skills are available to help. Food is good to excellent, subject to availability and the menu selections. Good value, which demonstrates how over priced sushi is in many restaurants.

Food was ok at best but the wait was horrible. I have given this place a few tries with friends and it take almost two hours to fill upon the lunch buffet. The servers practically ignored us everytime. They seem to be closed now so that makes me wonder. Even if they open again I will never visit again and neither will my friends. If you are set on sushi buffet try Oriental Star in Fayetteville. A little more money but worth it by far.

Horrible service. Didnt get half of the food we ordered with our all you can eat buffet. Was rushed out of the restaurant by management before being able to eat what we were served. Along with the disrespectful service we were told we couldnt take the food with us whixh we had payed for and recieved 10 minutes after the restaurant had closed...1 hour after we ordered it. STAY AWAY

We wanted to venture out and try a new restaurant and drove past this place. Im so glad we stopped! Everything we ate was delicious, and they were very accommodating of our messy 9 month old and picky 3 year old. Plus, the staff were nice and the music and atmosphere were pleasant. And the fried ice cream was the perfect ending to the meal. Well definitely be coming back!

I went with my two grandchildren 8 and 6 y.o. The staff was very accommodating. They love Sushi but I did not know what to order. For $12.95 each they got unlimited food. I think this is a special on Wed. They both ate 18 rolls. They made me Pad Thai which was great. I dont think it was on the menu. Huge menu.
