We have had dinner here on several occasions, the location is very nice. We have had a couple of various exsperiances. On one occasion we had very noisy people, who the waitress described as "spending alot of money" so that was an excuse for the noisy bad behavior. Because if you spend lot of money you have the right to disrupt peoples dinner. Our last exsperiance was the final straw. We took my visiting family here, were placed inside at a table with 4 extra seats( 5 guests in a 10 seat) I asked to be seated at a smaller table, perhaps outside and was told they were reserved for those with reservations, we had a reservation, I stated this and was told " mam we are trying to accommodate everyone" , apparently not us as there were many open tables. We were seated next to a huge group of badly behaved noisy people who proceeded to wander around laughing loudly, they should have been placed in a private room not an open dining are. Many loud badly behaved people combined with with very loud music drown out any polite conversation making us wish to be away. The way service is run is awful on ever occasion our wait person only came to take our order and then other people dilivered our food, not knowing who got what, we have been forced to pass around our hot plates to the correct people, it reminded me of eating at a fast food restaurant, definitely not the class that it thinks it is. We saw Touches fail I think Blu Pointe will soon follow.

Terrible, terrible. Very let down based on reviews from multiple sites. We had a 7:45pm reservation and didnt get seated until 8:20 after we were told the "kitchen was backed up." We were understanding that it was a busy Monday night and decided to wait it out. Once we were finally seated, we were briefly greeted by our waitress with water, and were then left sitting there until 9:00. When our waitress decided to walk by the table again without stopping, even to apologize for the wait, we decided to leave. We were looking forward to enjoying a great meal and a bottle of wine or 2, as the menu looks great, but the service was such an atrocity that we wont be going back. Good luck to everyone that tries Blu Pointe, hope its a better experience for you. Instead we grabbed dinner at the sushi bar nearby and had a lovely dinner with excellent service.

Horrible service. ordered the 1.5 lb lobster didnt get the whole lobster, took 15 minutes to get the waiter as the manager had all the wait staff in a meeting at dinner time, finally got the waiter to complain he took off 10 minutes later the manager arrived, I showed him that I was short changed on the meat, he took and brought another plate exactly the same short changed on the meat and it was way over cooked tough, and to make things worse our waiter was never to be seen again, another waiter brought the check, manager never offered anything to make up for this, my wife finished before my food was brought. way over priced for what you get.. other tables actually left before there food arrived,,, beware of this place...

I live local and know the many restaurants owned over many years by the owner. This is by far the best restaurant the family has ever launched. The Chef is putting out consistently great food, and I purposely went months a part to be sure the quality and service would stay top notch. Make no bones about it, this is priced as an upscale NYC Seafood & Prime Steakhouse Restaurant, but in my opinion worth every single penny. Service was impeccable, food divine, oysters fresh and on my second visit I indulged in the large seafood tower. It was beyond decadent AND again worth every penny!

We brought in the New Years with Blu points amazing brunch! Blu point is newly renovated in the space formely named Torches. The new management should be applauded for bringing life back to the north end of the Newburgh waterfront. The decor is outstanding, featuring a large fireplace near the main entrance. I also love the fresh seafood market display by the bar. The food is also great, the buffet was spaced pretty well and people looked happy while filling their plates. Too much to name but it was all chefs quality and delicious. I was very happy and will be back for dinner.

This place gets NO stars from me!! Talk about HORRIBLE FOOD!!!! I love food and live for High End great food! This place is a fraud!!! Took my mother here for her birthday she ordered lobster, it was overcooked, I ordered NY strip med, it was burnt! Not only that we waited 2 hours for food!!!! I ended up sending steak back for Branzino which wasnt much better, they have no idea how to cook. You want a nice restaurant go to Crave in poughkeepsie. Now thats high end great seasoned food!!!!

I have been here many times: diners, lunches and parties all on weekends and everything was good. However, I had a midweek lunch that was awful:from the front of the house, to the wait staff to the chef. All food was overcooked, service was poor. The only redeeming factor was the bartender made good cocktails. Must be the "D" staff during the week for lunch. For the overpriced food, I would expect a lot more - I guess we are paying for the view of the Hudson River!

Just had my daughters bridal shower there June 12, 2016 and we could have not asked for a more perfect setting. Every employee from the manager to the bus boys were the most accommodating, attentive and helpful staff I have ever encountered. The ambiance is amazing and every guest (44) raved about the view, the restaurant, the staff and especially the food. I cannot thank Blu Pointe enough for making this such an amazingly perfect day for my daughter.

When a customer takes the time to message you directly on your website with some issues they are gracious enough to message privately. DO NOT IGNORE THEM. It has been 11 days without a reply to my private email. The service was terrible by our server Isiah and after spending over $300.00 for two....and being ignored regarding my issues. Are you kidding me? What a shame! I expected that level of service. Sadly disappointed.

Fine dining it is NOT! It made us not want to return. We have been here many times. This time the food was just OK , but the service was really bad. We had 3 different servers, before we received our first drink order. It was a Tuesday...they were not busy. I can be specific but I dont have time for all the issues. We have been there so many times before but this was really bad. Definitely not worth over $100 a plate.

Looking for an exquisite place to dine, this is it. Excellent choice on menu. Enjoy Eating under the gazebo around the bar, or outdoors on the deck. Or various intimate areas in doors. Or bring your company event, bridal showers, or your choice or event. Great wait staff... And food keeps the palate flavored. So come up, or come down to Blu Pointe and create a memorable experience...

Amazing, Incredible food, loved it loved it loved it. Our waiter was fast, friendly, and on top of drinks. Impressive and beautiful view of the Hudson. Not five because of the price. The cheapest thing was like $25/. You best have a lot of dolla-dolla bills to come here. My meal was like $55 dollars. The most expensive thing was about $185. Great experience, though.
