pretty bad experience at Baytown Seafood on Highway 146 in Baytown, Texas. Three times Ive been here and three times theyve messed up my meal. The first time the mahi mahi wasnt cooked all the way through. It was ice cold in the center. How can it be ice cold when it was grilled? Probably because it wasnt grilled but frozen and microwaved is my guess. Then the waitress told someone I know that my date was drunk and falling down. She was not drunk. We had not been drinking alcohol. She simply lost her balance getting out of the booth and reached out to catch herself. The next time I went the entire meal without a drink. The waitress took my drink order but never returned with it. My meal arrived; still not drink. She promised to bring it out. I had the spicy crawfish ettuffe...so I really needed something cool. When I complained, she raced back to get it but never reappeared with it. She brought it when she brought me the check. Then she had the audacity to ask me if I needed change (I gave her two $20 bills to pay for a $29.00 ticket). She actually thought I was going to leave her $11 tip on a $29 bill after she had failed to bring me a drink all evening. Incredible! The last time I ate there, this past Sunday, the waitress brought out my appetizer with my meal. I asked her to bring it out first, as it was an appetizer. She assured me she would. I told her the last time I was there they served my appetizer with my meal. She promised she would deliver it first. But she didnt. And so my meal got cold while I ate a bowl of seafood gumbo. Not that it would have made much of a difference, the fried shrimp was tasteless and the the French fries were not only cold but limp by the time I got to them. I will not eat there again.

I have been there many times before and had good experiences. That said it has been a long time since I was there last. Tonight I ordered the steamed blue crab plate. My expectation was that I would get a nice big tasty plate of Texas blue crab. Having spent most of my youth fishing the gulf coast Im fairly familiar with what comes out of our waters. I recognized immediately that what I got was nothing local. What I got was a bunch of crabs that were imported from Australia ( I looked it up at home) that look very similar to our crab. What gave it away was the extra long claws with white spots on them. They were over cooked and flavorless but they tried to make up for it by drowning them in Tony Chacheres. The crab had obviously been cooked, frozen, thawed, and recooked. The shells were so rubbery it was like trying to crack open a soda straw. I finally gave up and just ate my potato. The staff was polite but unprofessional. As I walked to the bathroom to wash my hands one of the waitstaff accidentally stepped in front of me. Instead of saying "excuse me" she said "my baaaad". Our waitress kept coming by not to see if we needed anything but to see if I was done with my chewy crabs so she could bring our check. I also watched as they turned away a customer at 9:15ish because they were closing at 10:00. I will not be returning any time soon.

Heather was the only nice person here. Walked in 2 other waitresses argued about who would take us, the one whos turn it was rolled her eyes at us when Heather told her it was her turn. I stated I did not want the waitress with the attitude so Heather took us. DO NOT eat the boudain balls....GROSS! MY sons crab legs were good, my oysters were good, garlic bread was horrible and scallops were good. Had to ask to have boudain taken off even though my son and I only took a bite off of one of the 5 to try them. Who seemed like head waitress was cursing using the words s*** and f*** to talk to Heather about a mistake she made while knowing there were customers in there... I dont get the feeling they care about anything except getting off. Heather had jusr had a table of 15 trashy people that trashed her entire section (she was still cleaning it when we were.eating) they left her $5 I tipped her $30 with a note, and I hope she tells the snotty chick that rolled us eyes and argued about waiting on us. I doubt she has ever earned $3 much less $30.

My experience. Well I have some better but I have been to allot worse places. Floor did need cleaning. I got the seafood gumbo and fried calamari. Both was good. Ive got family that life in the Gulf of Louisiana and there gumbo is awsome. I will say this gumbo I got there was right there with them just about. Very tasteful and just enuff spice but had to add hot sauce to mine due to not being spicey enuff but, I love spicey foods. Waitress was very friendly. Only reason I gave it 3 stars was due to the dirty floor and all the loud screaming in the kitchen area. But if it wasnt for the screaming and the floor it would had been 5 Star. Ive read reviews on here where bad things and disrespectful things had happen to some folks but also some good reviews so I wanted to make my own judgement call... Will I go back yes! Will I carry my wife and son when they come down from Tennessee to visit test I will!!!! FOOD : 5 star WAITRESS : 5 star CLEANNESS: 3 star ATMOSPHERE : 3 star due to the screaming

What a great place! I had the grilled Seafood Plate and was happily surprised at how good the food tasted & how generous they were with the size of the servings: 6 or 7 really tasty scallops, the same with the shrimp, and a really decent-sized piece of delicious red snapper. All this excellent seafood came with a really large helping of grilled green & yellow buttery squash, crisp green beans & tasty rice and a nice dinner salad. All this for only 12 bucks - are you kidding me?! The cute gal who served me, Paij, couldnt have been sweeter and couldnt have taken care of me any better. Like I said before - what a great place!

Worst food and service ever! If i could I would rate it a -5 stars. We shared a seafood alfredo pasta, which was bland and had no flavor at all and we had to ask about the salad and ordered another salad. The sauce was like soup, the portion was small, you got 3 shrimp, 1 1/2 scallops and a thin slices of fish and no bread. The waitress couldnt answer any questions and once we got our food we didnt see her again. We had to ask the busboy for our ticket. We will NEVER eat here again nor will we recommend anyone to eat here!

Hmmm ...I enjoyed the ice tea and fried calamari but the crawfish étouffée was indescribable as étouffée goes. Personally looked like they ran out and put fillets of unknown fish in the bottom as a filler. The sauce was not étouffée sauce. The waitress was either new or bored. With less then 5 tables filled I am uncertain. She never brought our salads and laughed when she saw I didnt eat the fish fillets. Must be a coastal faire de cuisine that I have never sampled. Once agin the tea was great
