Where do I start this experience happen 12/13/2015---------------I never experience the worst restaurant service in my life. My girls and I went to the Footprints on Clarendon Rd.. My appetizer came after my entree. The cod fish cakes were extremely hard and my entree Shrimp Roti was cold (just shrimp and curry sauce, did not taste good)--- told the waitress that the roti was cold her look was "this is not the first time look"..... so she apologize and pretty much microwave the food so that it can be hot------ After all that I let it go and still order a meal to go for my fiance-- and 2 hours later with no food to-go yet.. The bill arrives with everything charge double or 3 times then what we order.. The waitress was very unprofessional and clearly not pay attention. One hour later the receipt was fix and yet still no food to-go has not reach my table yet. By this time, I asked for a manager and they explained to me that she is upstairs busy and the other manager is coming in soon----- (Here is what makes things more complicated/annoying) Now the Credit card machines are down and the waitress told me and the other guests to go across to the Mcdonalds ATM to take out cash.-- A gentleman who claimed to be the "Assistant" manager came to the table and I explained everything- he said he will check on my food---- 20 mins later the Original Waitress comes back to the table and said that the take out is not done and not going to be done anytime soon (They forgot to put it in)--- I told her to canceled everything and she also said she understood and agreed-- I ask to speak to the same Assistant manger again because now its 3 hours later and I waited for nothing.. He came over I said I will never come back here and everything is so bad. Now you guys want me to go to Mcdonalds and take out money--- I am not paying for this--- he absolutely agreed and when I got up to leave all of sudden the Manager came to me and the waitress asking me whats wrong and I explained to her what happen and that her "assistant manager" understood and told me to go--- Here is the icing on the cake--- The manager tells me that he is not assistant manager, he is a runner and he should not told me to go that he should of ask for her---- so now the waitress lied and people working in the restaurant claim to be manger when they are not.. What kind of business is this and why would anyone go back to this place--- NEVER AGAIN! The manager offered a coupon I declined --I will NOT go to this restaurant again.
First off I enjoyed my meal but it was not the as great as other hyped it up to be; and the service was horrible! My husband and I were waiting and another couple walked in five minutes later but was seated before us. Then we were asked to sit at the bar and when we did patrons said that other people were already sitting there and when we told the hostess she said OH then walked away. When the hostess was ready to seat us she said "come on" which turned me off and made me want to leave immediately but for the sake of the drive from Long Island I bit my tongue. Then the staff began to fool around with drunk patrons (chasing each other and picking each other up) & playing loud music that was not the regular music playing in Footprints because that was also playing at the same time. I know this to be true because when the supervisor/manager finally decided to supervise she asked whose music was playing and to turn it off immediately. And when I say "ready to supervise" it is because she watched one of her bartenders being picked up by her friend/patron yelling and carrying on and initially she walked passed them as if she did not notice the foolishness going on next to her and began to make drinks herself (since the staff were still playing around at the time). Then another employee brought us food that did not belong to use and stated that it was one thing when it was not (he claimed it was jerk chicken when it was fish) Luckily our waiter came and said: what is this? and immediately removed it and brought us what we ordered. I came to Footprints because the food was recommended by several people but I will never and mean NEVER step foot in that place again! I hate high expectations and was disappointed!
This was my first and last time to this horrible place. Ive often heard about the great food and was told about the horrible service as well. Nevertheless I decided to give it a try as I was very hungry after working long hours at a concert. I knew this place was open at 11:00 at night so I took 2 buses then walk 7 blocks from Utica Ave. I placed an order in the take out line for $9.95. The cashier rang up my order and told me 19.00. I asked her how could a $10.00 order be for 19.00. I showed her the price on the menu. She said it was because I ordered rice with my Chicken breast. I told her a few spoonful of rice couldnt cost an extra $10.00. She went and got the manager, some little kid who came over and wouldnt even acknowledge me. He just stated that the prices on the menu were printed wrong and the correct price was in the system then walked away. I then tried to place an order with one of the two cashiers but neither one paid me any attention. When I asked to place an order of of curry chicken one cashier just gave me the price for the small and the large and kept on moving. She never stopped to take the order. After waiting at the window and being utterly ignored I left never to go back again. Im not sure who the owner is but it seems no one has trained this staff. It cant be that difficult to take an order. Needless to say I was disappointed and on top of that I was really hungry so I stopped at the nearest Popeyes. Ironically the cashier at Popeyes was very nice. She even threw in an extra piece of chicken. Go figure.
This was by far one of the Worst restaurants I have ever been too in New York! A group of my friends and I visited here for her 30th Birthday on 4/1/2016 after making a reservation for 8:00 PM. We arrived at 7:45pm we were told we would be seated shortly. We told them the name of our party and the waitress "Ashley" said she knew who we were. However, after being seated, shortly after, Ashley came to tell us we were the wrong party to be seated, so we were asked to get up or be refused service, we stated we had a reservation what do you mean we have been seated? The conversation continued, and after going back and forth with the manager "Rob" who had no clue what to do, but continued to repeat what the waitress said. Then later he sends the bouncer guy, who was soft as a grape to come and make us leave and threaten he would THROW us out the restaurant with his muscles he stated. I have never experienced such customer service, so we decided to leave and just understand we will never visit this place again. Obviously the staff should not work in this particular industry! They care nothing about their paying customers nor this family owned business. With people like this on their staff I can definitely see this company losing business drastically!!! With all of this being said, I would HIGHLY NOT recommend a place that faults their customer, has " "Incompetent" Managers and staff, and by far the WORST customer service!!!!!!!
