I work nearby and eat frequently at Meiwah. The food is good, however they get a two star rating because of their service. On one occasion the waitress spilled a full glass of water in a co-workers food, ruining the meal. When we received the bill and my co-worker declined to pay for the meal the waitress had ruined, the manager came out and argued with him. Eventually she agreed to not charge him for the meal but informed him that she would be taking the money out of the waitress paycheck. On a second occasion a co-workers meal did not arrive until after we had all eaten and were paying the bill. He informed the manager that he didnt think he should have to pay for food that had not arrived on time and after arguing for several minutes was offered a $1 discount. Id recommend take-out. The service is pretty bad but the food is good.

I come to Mei Wah a few times a year because it is close to one of our offices. It is a good choice for group lunches because there is something for most, chinese, sushi and even gluten free. I came this time for dinner alone and had the wild scallop and torched tuna special rolls.K Both were larger than at other sushi resturants for a special role and were very good. Just the right amount of heat. I only rated 4 stars because they could work on ambiance for evening. It was pretty bright for an evening meal. Additionally for the area they should expand the sake list and offer more options.

Meiwah is one of the better Chinese restaurants in DC. I order from there regularly and their food is delicious. The tofu curl is one of my favorite items from Meiwah and is definitely worth a try. Their Westend location is located on M Street NW and serves the same food as their Chevy Chase location. Ive never eaten at the Chevy Chase location but at the Westend one the staff is very focused on maintaining a high turnover, rushing you to pay and get up after your meal.

We mostly use the Chevy Chase Meiwah for delivery. The order process is smooth. The menu is online which makes it easy. Always very prompt. I was actually surprised the last time. The delivery driver was here in about half an hour! The food is superb. Check out the Zagat rating and other reviews. Order delivery from Meiwah! Youre gonna love it! And btw, not exactly sure what other reviews are complaining about. This is THE place for Chinese food in Bethesda.

I have been to Meiwah for lunch on multiple occasions. Meiwah is one of the places in the area that offers prompt and efficient service during lunch. Their lunch specials include $10 bento box and $8 sushi combination. Bento boxes come out a little bit later than other food, but in my opinion they are well worth the wait. On the downside, the ingredients are not listed on the menu, so make sure to ask if you are allergic to any particular type of food.

So far Ive only had take out, which is quite the impressive operation here. Lots of orders, but enough staff to stay on top of them, and our food was ready right within the time frame given. We appreciated the no-meat version of the Ma Po Tofu, which was very good, compared to other places where taking out the pork really weakens the flavor. We also had pan fried noodles with vegetables, which had fresh, tasty veggies and a tasty sauce.

The restaurant is only 1.3 miles away from my home yet the delivery was over 30 minutes late. I dont mind the food taking a while to get here but it seems fair to know that ahead of time instead of being lied to about the delivery time. If the restaurant is busy just tell me it will take an hour and a half instead of 45mins to an hour.

Talked to multiple employees and still got the wrong order. Very simple instructions were incredibly difficult for them to understand. Good food, delivery tho is almost always cold. Then when you call and try getting your order corrected, they argue with you. Very hard to communicate with them. Its unfortunate.

There are mixed reviews here on the food; Id say its solidly good. The spring rolls were a bit "meh", but the Beijing duck was delicious and expertly carved at the table. The service is also really good; zero inefficiency which is great considering how busy they get.

Worst food I ate till date. The serving lady could not smile for all the time. We r Ordered veg fried rice. And it was cold. We asked them to at least make it hot. Still it was cold. Pathetic public.worst place.wasted my time and money both.

While Ive never stepped inside, for chinese delivery, I would not consider calling anywhere else -it is excellent food at a great price, and the fact that they have a wonderful sushi bar just makes it perfect for any asian cravings.

Meiwah is Wonderful. It is by far the best Asian restaurant I have ever been to. The food is great and so is the service. Although on delivery is a little slow around dinner time on weekends. Aside from that Meiwah is Great.
