I had my wedding at Aashirwad Palace recently. When I first met Sam and his family, I fell in love with the way they did business and the palace for that fact. Since then we kept in touch via e-mail and worked out details until the day of. The day of the wedding and days after, everyone kept coming up to me and my family and said how great the food was and how nice the palace was. At the food tasting prior to the wedding, we were very impressed with the taste and texture of all the items. That being said, we did notice some slight changes in taste and texture at the event but it was still absolutely delicious. For example, the vegetable manchurian tastes better fresh because the longer it sits in the sauce, the softer they become but this is the case with most food that is served buffet style but the flavor was spot on! The presentation was also amazing. All the food came out on time. So keep this in mind when creating your menu. Everything came together so perfectly and I couldnt be happier. Thank you so much to Sam and his family. We will definitely be back :) If youre going to have a wedding here, consider using Kalash Decorators. We found them to be extremely affordable and they did an amazing job with the decorations. We shopped around extensively and found Kalash to be the best one to meet our needs. The dishes that received the most compliments were the chicken curry, fish curry, goat curry, palak kofta, the presentation of the fruit platter, rasmalai, gulab jamun, mung halwa (this is their specialty and hard to find anywhere else), kati roll, mexican pizza (great for kids and western guests), chicken tawa was also delicious and presented very nicely. Sam was an excellent bartender and the value, taste, and quality of bar services were exceptional. They also make signature cocktails for the bride and groom and everyone is still telling us how good the mango coconut mojitos were! During the entire day, Sam managed the event, and it felt like we paid for the venue and food but got a free wedding planner as well. He also checked on the bride and groom throughout the day. While everyone else was taking pictures and enjoying their food, he was coming up to make sure we were okay and bring us drinks without even asking. He even packed up the leftovers so we could have an afterparty and the food wouldnt go to waste. These services are unparalleled and unheard of in more traditional venues such as commercial hotels and banquet halls. We also had dinner catered the night before the wedding by their sister restaurant, Rajni, and people couldnt stop praising the food as well. There are actually a large number of beautiful photo ops on the premises, we got some great pictures inside and outside and were constantly impressed with the landscaping and upkeep of the palace.

Avoid at all costs!!! We chose this venue for my wedding and were over charged and treated like second class citizens. First of all I sat down with Sam and went over the budget 3 months before the date we chose for our wedding. We had a smaller group for the wedding and he told me we would need at least 50 people to rent the upstairs, which wasnt a problem since I had a party of 75. I was told there would be a charge of $25 per person and in addition to that another $10 per person for food and another $15 for open bar including only beer and wine for 2 hours of the 5 hour rental. I thought the prices were reasonable. I was given a contract and signed. We gave sam our favors a few days prior and asked if they, and our centerpieces could be put out for when our guests arrived. He agreed and said no problem. I didnt think I needed to put that on contract as well. To my surprize, the day of the wedding I arrived a bit early to see how things were coming along and non of the centerpieces were set up either the favors. I asked Sam what happened and he said we needed to put them out ourselves. We set up the centerpieces (like we had nothing beeter to do ) and then as we were placing the favors we realized he had lost half of them!! Thinking that would be the worst of our "perfect day", there was another party going on downstairs which he hadnt told us about, and those people kept walking through our event! Then the food was put out - HALF OF THE FOOD WASNT EVEN WHAT WE HAD TASTED AND ASKED FOR! The food that was meant to be hot was cold and the food that was meant to be cold was warm. Then he served no coffee with dessert or any other kind of drink other than water beer and wine. We were told our open bar (beer and wine) was for 2 hours, however when a few of our guests tried to order wine an hour and 45 min in they were denied. Finally the worst part came, the bill. We expected to pay $25 per person+ $10 per person for food + $15 per person for wine and beer x our 75 guests and that would total $50 per person... NO! We were charged $65 per person and charged for 100 guests! I asked what was going on and he said there was a 100 person minimum for the upstairs. On top of that, and everything else he charged us $350 for keeping the food warm, a $25 per bottle opening fee and a $75 cake cutting fee. We paid to avoid major conflict that day but are regretful that we ever went to this hell hole. Karma will return to those who take advantage, I hope no one else wastes their time OR MONEY going here. Take my word for it -- GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!

I wasnt sure what to expect. From the outside it looks more like a banquet hall than a restaurant. Turns out it is exactly that, which works out for the better. The restaurant portion of the place is small and homey feeling. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. It seems like most of the wait staff have ties to the business which in turn means that theyre more willing to go above and beyond to accommodate. They have no problems mixing and matching dishes to tailor to the guest. Everything tasted fresh and made from scratch. The portions were quite generous. Also, some reviews online mentioned that it was pricey, I felt the opposite was true. The entrees were about $15 dollars, appetizers were $10 to $15 but were big enough to share or be entrees on their own. The entrees and appetizers were extremely high quality for the prices they charge. We ordered the mixed grill appetizer, I was expecting a few kabobs, instead we got a sizzling hot plate packed to the brim with chicken, shrimp and lamb, we had to take some home. Their traditional Indian dishes were unbelievable and they were very accommodating in terms of getting the spice level just right for each guest. I had the Tikka Masala chicken and they were gracious enough to add shrimp at no upcharge. They also have some Asian fusion dishes available for those that arent crazy about Indian spices and other traditional foods. Theyre also a martini lounge and the dining hall feels like a cross between lounge and restaurant, this was a little off putting when we first walked in but I quickly got over it thanks to the warm welcome and good food. Being that its a martini lounge as well, I felt they could use a more extensive martini menu. However their drinks were very reasonable. Top shelf martinis with kettle one were at least $5 dollars cheaper per cocktail than what most other places around here charge. Im hesitant to speak so well of this place because I feel like we found a diamond in The rough and I dont want it to get too popular, but after the service we received tonight I wish nothing but success for the people that run such a pleasant business. Cant wait to bring my friends and family there in the future. This place is defiantly well worth your time. :)
