Me and my girlfriend just got back from our first trip to Mt. Fuji in Providence. The inside was very cool and we were greeted and sat promptly. We sat at the sushi bar and put in our orders for 2 Spider Rolls (Softshell crab rolls), a soup and salad and an order of tamago nigiri. We got the food relatively fast for a packed Friday night. To my surprise, the soft shell was deep fried which wasnt mentioned on the menu and we both didnt want anything fried. We both took a bite and found that the fried crab had a burned taste to it. We called our waitress over who very matter-of-factly stated that all soft shell crab is fried. Im not a connoisseur of crab so I had no idea; had I know, Id have gone with something else. After we told our waitress that we didnt care for it and that we didnt know it was fried, she stated that she was going to have to throw it out and not take it off the bill because there isnt anything wrong with it (I guess burned taste is normal) and that wed be better off taking it home. After that unpleasant interaction, I ordered a spicy tuna roll and my girlfriend asked the waitress if there was any crab on the menu that was not fried. Our waitress asked if she wanted, and I cannot stress this enough, "real crab" and my girlfriend said "yes". Our waitress said that Mt Fuji has king crab and she can get that in a roll, so my girlfriend ordered that. We got our new order and the spicy tuna roll was average but the king crab roll was not good at all. Not wanting to complain and get nowhere again, she sucked it up and ate it. We got the bill and we see that "CRAB STICK ONLY" was in the instructions for the "king crab" roll. I didnt know that soft shell crab was fried, I at least I know king crab is real crab and when "real crab" is stressed while talking to a server and then ordered, one would expect to get real crab, not crab stick. Mt Fuji was highly recommended by many of our friends but our experience tonight was awful.

Being the only place that serves the delicacy, hamachikama, in Providence is important. At least, the only place that we know of. Coming to find out that it comes prepared with some ingredients that we do not eat is just more reason to try everything else on the menu that is possible! Great food, creative takes for those with allergies. I recommend being patient and diligent with servers about the food allergy thing, as the chefs do a respectable job at creating their usual, modern craft. The restaurant itself has a modest club feel but is clearly a place to dine. Enjoy a chefs table where the chef does all of the cooking in front of you.

We have typically enjoyed ourselves but on this Fathers Day it was awful. The chicken was under cooked, the service was bad and felt rushed. No option for chopsticks, and only one utensil provided. A re-order drink was served in the same glass (really?). They seemed more concern about the bill rather than providing a good Fathers day experience. When the bill came they had included a 17% tip without disclosure. Shame on you for ruining my Fathers day we will never return.

Went here for a bachelorette party and was immediately taken aback by how beautiful the entrances with water flowing Down the Walls comedy service and his body was extremely fun and friendly, good for the whole family, there are many kids there but you wouldnt know unless you looked at them because they were so quiet, food was delicious and portions were great, price was a little on the high end but for what you got it was more than worth it

Amazing!!!! I broke a glass of wine and owners were so concerned about safety they moved us to a new table to make sure there wasnt glass on the hibachi grill, so that alone is 5 stars, on to food, great portions, great steak great yum yum, Vino was our chef and made sure our 5 year old son was the center of attention! Thank you guys for a great dinner!

The building itself here is not the most attractive, but its close to the mall and to Federal Hill so the location is not bad. The inside of the restaurant is very nice, with a bar area right up front. They offer sushi as well as hibachi style dinner. The chefs are playful and generous with the sake!

Great place to go with friends! Hibachi and drinks were excellent and good prices. Parking can be tough on a busy night, with no valet either. Worth to keep coming back and the Sushi is A+ on taste and presentation.

The service and cocktails usually leave something to be desired, but the sushi makes it worth it. Best in town! Theres a Hibachi side and a regular restaurant side. Also good for take out.
