Red Lobster used to be a great place to go eat, to celebrate important events, and spend a nice time with family and friends over good seafood. Now, they wont even acknowledge your birthday with a piece of cake, nobody comes to sing happy birthday, and the food is just kind of mid-range in taste and quality. Probably some new management thought they could save a bunch of money by not acknowledging customers birthdays. Well, lets see how much money they save by getting reviews like this one. Putting that all aside, the service we received was really good. The restaurant is among the more quiet restaurants to eat at, which is great for being able to have conversations with others at your table while you eat.

My complaint is the wait time. Its not what u think....many ppl were forced to wait for 35+minutes when my man and i could visually see with our eyes multiple tables open. They remained that way the entire time we were there basically. I do understand being busy and not wanting to overload the servers... but cmon 5-6 empty booths surrounding us with a hoard of ppl waiting desperately to be seated at the door. The hostesses can shove it. Its hard on the servers too. Think about how much in tips they lose out on when ppl get tired of waiting and leave. Dear management take a look at ur evening hostesses or possibly the way ur running things.

Ive only been twice but its ridiculous when its a holiday and you have over 15 people waiting to be seated and they can see tables not cleaned off. We approached to ask about the tables not being cleaned off they say the kitchen is backed up. NEWS FLASH if you can not manage a restaurant to keep it flowing in an orderly time than obviously there needs to be a change. Slow as hell with everything. We made sure they knew how we felt when we walked out. Lees Summit is 10x better in all directions. Wait times, service and food overall... absolutely dont recommend this location...

Service was very slow but our server Allen was great. Having worked in the industry you notice things that can make you question red lobsters corporate leanings. The quality of the experience often depends on things like table turning or managements ability to properly run a foh crew. In this area this location can improve. Again, huge thanks to Allen for taking our abuse (not really, calm down) and making the evening great for someone with shellfish allergies who was not looking forward to eating off of red lobsters limited menu.

Im addicted. I love lobster! The scallops and shrimp area great too. I have a gluten intolerance, but I can eat well here and always leave feeling satisfied (except maybe that I miss the cheddar bay biscuits- I used to love those things! ) You can also eat healthy very easily here if thats your goal. The seafood is always fresh and they use real butter, which is sadly not very common in restaurants anymore. Do order salad dressing on the side, though, because they drench it!

Overall... the Waiters & Waitresses were absolutely professional, extremely friendly, and knowledgeable regarding the restaurant menu... the atmosphere was pleasantly nice... and the cleanliness of the place was spotless! However the actual food prepared for me & my family of 17 celebrating my elderly mothers birthday that afternoon could have been a lot better - maybe it was an off day for the cooks, idk... but I wasnt impressed with the food - huge disappointment!

Yuk! The lobster meat was pink and chewy like gristle. Also, a pink gelatinous substance squirted and dripped from the shell. The claw meat was bitter and chalky. When the waitress took it back, the cook told her it was suppose to be that way. The broccoli tasted like fish (not seafood) and was still very hard, almost raw. The waitress was great. I also liked the mashed potatoes and the bahama mama. Im writing this review with a strong gut ache.

Went for my daughters favorite food - shrimp, shrimp fest! SLOW SERVICE!! It took over 10 mins for our drink order to be placed then 25 mins to get our food once we finally received our drinks. We sat waiting and waiting and waiting. The food was horrible, my daughter didnt enjoy any of it. Over cooked, under cooked, to much seasoning. I even cleaned off our table bc no one else did. Worst experience ever! Will not be going back to that location.

Best seafood hands down!! BUT some of people there are horrible and should never be in customer service. But Im still giving them 5 stars because MOST of the staff are wonderful and the manager (think he was) is AWESOME. Free appetizers because we waited 30 minutes for anybody to even come get our drink orders...even if they was full (which they werent) it shouldnt of been so long. He apologized few times also for it! Which was very professional

Horrible!!!! No other way to say it!!!! Prices went up, food portions are a JOKE!!! SERVICE WAS RUDE....AND WE PAID ON AVERAGE 80.00 EACH OF THE LAST 3 TIMES MY HUSBAND AND I ATE THERE!!! THE WAITRESS NEVER RETURNED TO OUR TABLE AND WE LEFT THERE STILL HUNGRY!!!!!!! WE WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!!!!! What happened to this place?? They USED TO BE SO GOOD, AND THE FIRST PLACE WE WOULD THINK OF FOR ANY SPECIAL OCCASION......

My freind & I went (last night) to the one on Noland Rd. in Independence the food was horrible... I had ordered the stuffed mushrooms with shrimp & crab & shrimp alfredo, the shrimp in my mushrooms tasted old and stale and AND HOW DO YOU MESS UP CHEDDAR BISCUITS somebody tell me please...they had no flavor and werent cooked all the way then my noodles were so over cooked it was like I was chewing gum...Im so disappointed...that was trifeling

We usually always have a good experience at this location however tonight we had the WORST waiter ever!!!!! He was completely unprofessional and was unable to manage his tables we sat for 15 minutes before he even greeted us another 15 before we got our drinks and as he ran by us he kind of threw things on the table and kept going. Food was great but not one time did he ask if we needed anything etc... Very disappointed

The service was terrible, the servers and hostess had no clue how to run a dinner service. I stood in the bar for 10 minutes without even a greeting, no one wanted to direct us on which table to sit at or have menus for our party. The restaurant was disgusting all over with napkins,other trash and food covering the floor, bar and tables. As a Chef and as a patron I will not be back to this location. Im VERY disappointed.

Where the hell are all these good reviews coming from? Does anyone that even wrote on here actually eat at this place? That doesnt work there, or get paid to do reviews? I went on my birthday, it was horrible; cheap, tough, OBVIOUS thawed-from-frozen seafood, and then overcooked; slow service; RIDICULOUS prices that do not at all match quality or value. I will not go back.

My son enjoyed it. It was his first time going here. My husband and I werent to happy with our service and the price. The food was good. But our waiter rushed us to order and then when our food came he forgot part of it. And never brought me any Splenda for my tea. And it wasnt busy. Just not my best experience there at all.. mist the time its amazing
