Went there just last night with my girlfriend and a friend for the very first time. Despite being upscaled in price, the quality of food was absolutely wonderful--especially their fried Shrimp and cajun chicken! I can see why the waiting time can be long, but its well worth it. Rebecca, our server, was absolutely amazing. Shes one of the very coolest servers Ive ever talked to. Additionally, there was a slight miscommunication on my order where she thought I had ordered fried shrimp & chicken (originally wanted just chicken, but was given the former instead). She was very sincere and apologetic about it, and one of the managers came over and also apologized for the mixup, so I was given extra chicken and fries on the side, despite not being able to finish it. Everyone makes mistakes, and they definitely take theirs very seriously. Overall, their reputation definitely precedes them.

Delicious food. Downside: our server was rather unpleasant. She had a busy section but so did the entire restaurants waitstaff. It was a very busy night and yet we saw other servers smiling and catering to their tables as expected. My husband and I felt neglected as our glasses sat empty and dirty dishes outstayed their welcome. Any questions we had about the menu were answered abruptly and with noticeable irritation. We continued to enjoy our date night despite the distress signals from our waitress. Her expression was so flustered and anxious that it kind of spilled over into our experience. The best waitstaff exudes an attitude of coolness, serenity and poise. Pappas restaurants train every employee individually. Ordinarily I have a great meal. Pappadeaux is one of my all time favorite restaurants. Im sure its just a one time thing. I hope that waitress eventually finds her niche.

I like the fried mozzarella bites- they used to be giant sticks, which were delicious. They are still delicious, but easier to eat, plus a higher crunch to cheese ratio. The creme brulee here is probably my favorite dessert of all time (which is high praise coming from a chocolate lover- Id seriously come here just for coffee and dessert once a week if I could). This time I branched out and tried the creole shrimp and grits- delicious, but there was a little too much creole sauce which mixed in with the grits- not necessarily a bad thing but the grits are delicious on their own and I would have liked to eat more of it without the sauce. Id get it again but ask them to go lighter on the sauce. My mom and I both really miss the steak sandwich that used to be on the lunch menu. Please bring it back, and have it as an all day item!!!

We always have an excellent time with our server Matthew. He has a warm smile and gives great customer service. The kitchen is dead on with fresh bread and spreadable butter to start. The bar makes drinks so good i have to take photos and post about them every time. My favorite is the dirty south. Its not on the menu so youll have to ask whats in it. My mom always get the grand Hennessey. Trust me just one of either of these drinks is enough! My favorite entrees are the fried seafood platter with blackened tilapia instead of fried or the pasta with chicken add sausage. These modifications are small but really make the meal. Favorite desserts vary on the day. The vanilla cheesecake, praline cheesecake, and brownie are winners every time. Just go... ask for matthew, and youll have a great time for sure!

Went here and I ordered the "creole shrimp and grits" husband ordered the regular shrimp and grits. Got told by waitress it was the same thing. Got our food and we had the exact same plates. We didnt think much of it b/c we hadnt been there in a while so we thought it was just regular creole shrimp and grits. It wasnt until we got the bill that we realized we had been charged with NOT creole shrimp and grits but instead charged for the regular shrimp and grits (that was the same thing yet more expensive??) Not only that, we were charged for 2 orders of lrg shrimp which we did not ask for which was like $7 each. My husband just wanted to leave so we left it at that..the food was delicious but make sure you pay attention to your bill and what u order or u will end up paying more for what u dont order.

Having just moved to Houston weve being eating out a lot. We recently visited Pappasitos and were wonderfully surprised. So, when my parents came in for a visit we thought we would try Pappadeauxs. If you are looking for a cheap date, this place is not for you. If youre looking for amazing quality and dont mind the cost, GO HERE! You will not be disappointed. It is definitely my new favorite restaurant. I love salmon, but I am normally disappointed with most restaurants. I have to say that this surpassed any salmon Ive ever ordered at a restaurant. It was divine. Cooked to perfection with a sauce so delicious I couldnt dream of it. My thanks to those amazing chefs. We went on a Saturday evening so it was extremely busy. We didnt have a long wait though. I will be returning very very soon.

Amazing management!!! I ordered to go food for my family and in the process the food containers cracked leaking liquids and sauces all over $150 worth of food. I called into the restaurant to voice my displeasure and was greeted by a very nice and understanding female manager. She informed me that since it was the end of the night and the restaurant was closing, me and my family could return the next day and have our order replaced. Upon arriving the next day we were greeted by another very friendly and apologetic manager, this time a young man. Not only did they replace our meal, he also gave us gift cards to be used on a future visit. I just want to thank you two for your amazing customer service. If ever in Houston, me and my family will definitely be back to THIS location.

Very well run. You know youre getting quality with Pappadeaux, so the only comparison you can really make is service. I have been here many times and been treated great at all of them. What made me write this review was my most recent experience. I placed a large order for pickup to take back to the office. Someone had came in, claimed it, paid for it, and picked it up before I got there. It was clearly not the servers fault. Almost immediately, absent my urging, a manager came over to apologize, and comped my meal (even though I argued it was unnecessary, as it was going to go to my expense report if I paid). You could tell the servers genuinely felt bad about something that I dont believe was there mistake. I was thoroughly pleased with my experience.

A Sea Food Restaurant that serves Stinky Rice with almost every dish. The Stench of this Dirty Rice is so strong, it overpowers the smell of everything on your plate, your table and the next table over. Piping hot, in a heaping pile, the smelly steam can be seen streaming through the restaurant as the waiter carries it to your table and sets it in front of you even though you asked for a substitution for the awful stuff. Other than that, the food looks great (yes i gave them an extra star for how the food looks). But if you want to smell your food, ask hostess to seat you in the NO Stinky Rice section.
