Had an amazing dinner at Miel for our 5 year anniversary! Service: We arrive 10 minutes early for our reservation and they sat us immediately. The server was prompt and thorough and sweet. The host was gracious. Food: The food was great! The quality was amazing. Perfectly done scallops made me smile. We had escargot, bouillabaisse, and salmon between us and both of us were smiling happy through the entire meal. amazing vegetables. Dessert: I could only eat their creme brulee for the rest of my life and be happy, until I tasted the almond chiffon cake and fell head over heels for it. Atmosphere: Completely engaged in the meal. Everyone in the restaurant was 100% engaged it what was happening, no cell phones, no tvs no music, just your dining partner. Very romantic! Parking: There is a lot for the restaurant just 2 doors down. Its on the right.

My husband and I went to Miels tonight for dinner. We had a reservation and arrived on time. We ordered a bottle of wine and waited 30 minutes for it to be brought to the table. The waiter poured us our first glass and disappeared. 15 minutes later he reappeared to take our order. Although we were given a miniscule but delicious "amuse-bouche" before we received the wine, no bread was brought to the table until after we were given our salads. An hour is a long time to sit in a restaurant with nothing to eat. The food, when it finally came, was excellent. Nobody, at any time, ever checked back with us at any stage of the meal to see if the food or wine was acceptable, or if we needed anything. We felt completely unappreciated and, frankly, unwelcome. What a shame that the service does not mirror the outstanding food.

Miel excels with intelligent pairings, precisely balanced ingredients and perfect portions. I choose to begin with the four cheese plate which had a good variety of soft/hard cheeses, almonds, an amazing dish of tart figs and a number of drops of captivating wild flower honey. The portion size was ideal for sampling several combinations from the plate without impinging on my appetite. Main course was the Seared Skin King Salmon with mussels, pulled eggplant, and set in a thin layer of fantastic hollandaise. Not a single taste or texture out of place. Pictures can give you an idea of the tastes youll find but you absolutely have to experience this yourself. Thank you to the staff whos combined efforts made such a fantastic experience

I nearly cried 4 times during dinner at Miel, the flavors were so amazing. It is what God intended when he made food. Seriously. I pushed back my chair 4 times + took a moment to relish in the awesomeness. My wife agreed, but still laughed at me. I wanted to go outside and do a little happy dance, it was so good. (I resisted, but only barely.) Service was fantastic and we have high standards. (There are too many awesome restaurants in Nashville to bother with bad service.) It was so good, we went back the very next day for brunch. It is the Nashville scene best brunch for a reason. Best bacon I have ever put in my mouth. And that would be a lot.

I ate at Miel for the first time the other night. I thought the food was very good, but not great. All-in-all I found the restaraunt over-priced: Not only was the food slightly too expensive for what you get IMHO, but they gouged us on soft drinks ($2 each, without refills). Additionally, the menu listed a wine which retails for $15 a bottle for $9 a glass, and when the check came, they charged us $12 for that single glass. While some may find that acceptable, its enough to make me not return.

I thought the fiddle head dish was exceptional, and so were the calamari, the roast chicken (Cornish hen?) tasted very good although I thought the sauce was a little too greasy. However, this restaurant served the BEST bread to the table that Ive tasted in a long time, and I bake bread, never buy it. Congratulations and Kudos to the Chef and Owners for this fundamental marker that sets you apart and above the crowd.

Great restaurant! The dishes are all perfect and the staff and ownership are top notch. Excellent date night spot but also a great place to go for happy hour. Try the pork shoulder dish or the duck if it is available. The deserts are also extremely tasty. Exceptional wine list, creative cocktails, and a good assortment of bourbon. Try this place out if you havent already!

I want to give Miel a five-star so badly! The maître d was lovely, and super cute to my 6-month old nephew. The food was so-so. I had the gnocchi with pulled pork, which I have to say was awesome. My other family had a fish/shrimp dish, and the cow cheek. Both were terrible. The cheese platter was great! I think there is better in Nashville!

Miel is my favorite Nashville restaurant bar none. I have been eating there for years and I have never had a bad experience. They are farm fresh veggies and a seasonally changing menu. The service is part of the whole experience. Go there.

Absolute best Mexican restaurant Ive ever been to. Hands down. They serve the most flavorful food and definitely not what every other Mexican restaurant serves. If youre in San Jose, you must go here. Great atmosphere and quick service!

One of Nashvilles best dining experiences. Great fresh, often local food in a non-pretentious atmosphere with great service. Quality is not cheap. I think of Miel as similar to Sunset Grill.

Great neighborhood go to. Great food, cocktails and service. The Valentine dinner was over priced and not enough food. Recommend going any other time.
