A few friends and I met for drinks and dinner on a weeknight at 5:30, immediately after work. The front room was empty, save one table of 6 people. I arrived first, and was offered a table (I must add, I had reservations) in the middle of the room, near the door. I asked to be moved, since there were numerous options, and youd have thought I asked that my glass of water be individually filtered. As if doing me the largest favor of his beleaguered life, the host took us to another table near the door. The waitress came out after a much longer bit, I ordered my wine, and it was brought out in a decent amount of time. I must add that the wine I originally requested was not available. My friends arrived shortly after that, and, over the din of the very loud room (looks like it was once a garage, and the large table had 2 very small children consistently banging on the metal table) we screamed back and forth about what we might eat and drink. We had plenty of time to study, even memorize, the menu, since we never saw the waitress again. TWELVE minutes later, we decided wed had enough. I left cash for the wine, and we got up, half thinking someone might see us and ask why we were leaving. Not so---we werent even noticed. They probably still havent realized were not there, some days later. Cha Chah represents the problem of so many restaurants in Nashville, and represents it well. While a great and lovely city, its not a large metropolitan one. We want sophistication, not pretension. Good service is essential to the survival of this very difficult business. May I suggest losing the attitude, and concentrate on service and food? A novel concept, I know. Of course, someone will have to tell me about improvements made, since my friends and I will not return.

Recently took my family here on a trip to Nville before a show at the Bluebird. They were excellent at taking a reservation for 6 without much notice but terrible at everything else. The menu presented to us was not the menu posted online. At 7 pm on a Saturday they were out of all entree choices that werent red meat and didnt inform us of outages until our order had been placed. All 3 parties that arrived after us received their food before we did. Meat dishes werent cooked according to order(burger ordered rare was not even pink). All 5 dishes except the beef wellington were terrible and my dad got food poisoning from his salmon. In hindsight I am glad he got the last piece and I had to change my order (to a Caesar salad b/c that was the only thing they had in stock I was interested in).The server dropped food from plates onto us as he cleared the table. Other staff, seemingly in management, who looked in on us seemed to have an attitude when we honestly responded to their question of how our experience was going or if we needed anything.

The meal during our first visit (brunch) was alright, but the servers were rolling their eyes and bickering at one another over who got what table in front of customers. Very awkward. We wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, so recently gave it another shot.. only to have another disappointing experience. We were one of only two tables dining (12:15 for lunch) and had to wait 35+ minutes for our meal. The server was inattentive and several members of the staff were hanging out, watching tv near the bar. The staff was more worried about socializing and watching the tv than refilling drinks and checking on the paying customers. We will not be returning.

Sad how far this place has fallen. The service has become indifferent at best. The food we had the other night was just plain awful. The food was so over-salted it had no other taste, especially the spicy crab dip which was just vaguely fishy mayonnaise with tons of salt. The veggie tempura was not tempura but a soggy, tasteless mess served with a sauce which Im pretty sure was just Texas Petes hot sauce. Back when this was ChaCha it was a gem of the city, and the Blvd concept was ok for a while. In the last few months its become inedible. Avoid.

I cannot comment on the food because we didnt get that far. But, my impression of the service was terrible. We stood at the hostess stand for several minutes, were passed by multiple staff members, none of whom greeted us or assured us that someone would be by to seat us. When we finally were asked if we wanted a table, we were informed that they could seat us immediately, but there was a 30 minute wait and a 45 minute wait for food. Not even sure what that means. We left and probably wont give it another shot.

Highly disappointed!! Sent my sister here on a surprise birthday luncheon with some old friends and while they loved the atmosphere the food was not good and overpriced for portion size. Additionally, one in the party had special dietary needs and they would not substitute, remove, alter, or work with her in any way on her order which tells me they are not made fresh on site, but pre-made or shipped in as ready-to-eat meals.

fun place in an active part of town on the commercial strip adjacent to belmont university. interesting changing set of small plate choices, the kitchen has got skills and likes to push the flavors up. roll-up walls in the front rooms makes for a pleasant spot on warm evenings, good people watching. interesting choices on the beer, wine, and drink list.

Not what it used to be... Completely new menu, consisting only of fried appetizers and burgers which were not interesting at all... Ended up with the classic burger which was 2 patties and the bistro which was eh... They didnt ask how we wanted cooked because they only make it one way, over cooked. Good wine. Wont come back.

Went once...It was okay. The food wasnt really that impressive, and seemed overpriced. The servers didnt seem to care too much and barely stopped by our table at all, and despite being one of only a few tables there, our food still took a while. Ive heard others have had better experiences than mine, but I likely wont be back.

This place is overpriced and pretentious. The waitress actually came to our table and explained what tapas was, as if we just werent smart/cool enough to get it. And as far as the menu goes, Mirror is much better and reasonably priced. Also, the idea of being served Spanish food at a Thai-owned restaurant is all wrong.

We attended for an underwhelming Sunday brunch. Sub par service. The only vegetarian option was the "quiche of the day", which was out, even though we were there at opening. Other food was not bad, but overshadowed by many other better eating locations in the neighborhood. The setting is nice.

Okay, loved the overall ambiance of the place, but the chairs were so uncomfortable! My friends and I started out there with Sangria and wine. Next time we will try the food and request the leather chairs. But, we really wanted to go somewhere else to eat where we could sit more comfortably.

wish i could give zero stars. what they describe on the menu is not what you get and if you ask them about it the manager gets rude with you and does it loudly in front of other customers. very unprofessional and food isnt even that great
