Wow! Talk about a new restaurant in the Downtown Nashville area that knocked the ball out of the park. I had a excellent experience at the Sea Salt Restaurant, a farm-to-table, French-inspired, seafood restaurant. Right from the moment we entered the restaurant, the hostesses greeted my party with such a warm welcome and appreciation. Once sat at our table, our server Abby, delivered an excellent guest service from beginning to end. She guided us through the menu and suggested menu items. She was on point with all aspects of the service, from drink refills, food delivery, dish clearing, dessert presentation, and table checks. Abby was very attentive without being disruptive. It was also special when the manager (taller gentleman) stopped by and checked on our table, service, and food quality. Not many restaurants in Downtown Nashville perform this very important "table touch." We had four people in our party and tried four different dinner entrees: 1) Crab-Stuffed Trout, 2) Short-Rib Dinner, 3) Scallops and Grits, and 4) Steak Frites. The quality of the dinner entrees were top notch and the taste were simply delicious. We tried the restaurants Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp. Although the appetizer was flavorful, the shrimp was overcooked and somewhat rubbery. All in all, our first time visit to Sea Salt Restaurant was a great visit. It wasnt perfect, but I have no major complaints. I certainly recommend this new restaurant to everyone.

We really enjoyed Sea Salt. Our reservation on Open Table didnt go through, but they sat us anyways despite ending up very busy. We had the beer mussels (the Red Ale, Bacon, Cream cheese ones) which were fantastic. The chowder which I ate every drop of (warning it is spicy, but a perfect amount of spicy where you might sweat a bit but you do when you work out and thats good for you just like the chowder) and the pork shank which was fall off the bone good. A shout out to Andrew who worked so hard to make it a good experience and he had to run up and down the steps like a mad man since we were upstairs, that was impressive. The only critique is that they have some logistic things to work out. Andrew shouldnt have been running up and down for the smallest of things, but if they work that out like they have the food it will be a great addition to the Nashville restaurant scene.

This place has just opened up and Im sure it will be a gem in no time. Sea Salt Restaurant had a great vibe. The decor was classy and rustic, very tastefully done. The timely arrival of order was not very desirable, but the food made up for this short coming. The food was excellent! I will definitely be a regular!

This legitimately expanded my idea of just how amazing food can be. The owner, mike, is an absolute gem who was clearly planted on this earth to delight people with outstanding food and ambience. This place is about to become immensely popular, so make sure you get in before that happens.

Service was really good and friendly. Decor was nice. Most of the food was really good. The sauce for my mussels was a little bitter. Grouper was excellent, as was the shank. They also gave me 15% off for being a veteran. That was quite nice. We had a great meal and everyone left happy.

I cannot speak highly enough of the food at sea salt. The red ale muscles were incredible and my life changed when I had the bacon jam scallops. I also highly recommend the mayday IPA for the hoppy bear lovers. Had some tastes of the trout and the short rib and both were fire.

First time Nashville visitor and Sea Salt did not disappoint. Loved the red ale mussels, trout toast and pomme frites. The sea salt mule is so good and loved the presentation. Great service and warm atmosphere. Cant wait to go back again!!

Great ambiance. Server was very professional and attentive, but food service was incredibly slow (we waited just under an hour), and the food itself unimpressive. The charcuterie plate was underwhelming, and the main dishes bland.

A new eatery on the block, but I forsee them staying around for a long while. From the appetizers to the main course to the beverages, everything hit the palate just right. Try their scallops and grits with onion-bacon jam.

This restaurant has unique decor and is loaded with charm. The food was outstanding - loved the frites starter with dipping sauces! Try the crab stuffed trout for an entree - yum! Will definitely return.

Very satisfying! Our waiter was so kind and the food was delicious. I had the chicken roulade, the sauce, and rice were exquisite! My wife had the grill cheese, and that was also really good.
