We had one of the best meals ever at the CIAs French restaurant, Bocuse. The newly renovated place was modern, clean, and even though it was quite busy, it was not too loud. Before the dinner, you could take a stroll on the campus. It had terrific view. Service was very good, probably because it was done by CIA students under watchful eyes. The wine menu was on an iPad and their price was reasonable. Both the Lobster and Shrimp appetizers we had were excellent. My husband had Tournedos Rossini for main course. The beef was perfectly done and its flavor greatly enhanced by foie gras. I had the Pan seared Halibut. Fish was so moist and its broth was the definition of "umami". We did not have room for dessert. But the table next to us had the "Table-side ice cream and classic treats". They told us it was to die for. The reservation could be hard to get depending on the seasons. Make sure to book a table ahead of time.

I proposed to my wife after dinner here. Weve also been back during the day time for lunch. The food is wonderful, and the student staff really brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm which make the experience extra special to us. Both times have been very memorable experiences and we look forward to going back more and more in the future!

What happened? My wife and I go to CIA for our Anniversary and my wifes birthday since about 2006. This was the worst experience. Cold food, nothing special done for our anniversary (like in the past). Service was slow and there were just as many students (servers) as were customers. Sadly, might be our last time there.

The kitchen was very slow. The wait staff was courteous and attentive. The oysters were amazing as was the short rib bourguignon. The duck breast, as preferred medium rare by the chef was grossly undercooked, difficult to cut and even more difficult to chew. The words blue and raw immediately come to mind.

This is my favorite of the restaurants at the CIA. Although all are quite good I find this one to be a notch above. I had the Lobster Ravioli for my app, Veal for my entree and the ice cream made table side for my dessert. I would go back just for the ice cream. It was divine.

A great addition to the Hudson Valley area. Only 2 hours north of New Yok City. A world class restaurant that just happens to be part of the greatest Culinary and Hospitality School in the world, The Culinary Insitute of America. Worth any detour. Come! Let us dazzle you!

Went to Bocuse on Jan 22,2016 to celebrate my birthday. This is our 3 trip to the CIA. Was sorely disappointed. Service was very slow and food came out cold and had to be sent back. I understand that they are students in training - but was very very disappointed.

Great food, waited a bit long for the wine. Waiting staff very friendly, but slightly overwhelmed. The lobster starter and Le Vacherin desert were exceptional. Reasonably priced for the quality. Will come back.

The food is so different and delicious. Tried a fish we never had and a new dessert wine. Beautiful evening. The CIA never disappoints.
