Do not order the udon under any circumstances. Udon is a simple dish, so it is exceedingly hard to make it really well if you are not willing to put in the time. We ordered chicken and beef udon and found them both to be almost tasteless. The beef was woefully overcooked, the vegetables as well... It would have been barely acceptable if not for the unmerited $14 price tag per serving, which honestly just highlighted the mediocrity of the entire meal. I have had decent sushi from Ten, maybe they should just concentrate on that and leave the rest alone. That way they can provide a good product at an affordable price without having these sad dips in quality.

Ten is incredible! Best Japanese restaurant in the NYC area! It was the only time Ive had excellent Japanese food outside of Japan. Everything we ordered was fantastic from the traditional tempura to the more exotic wild mushroom salad. Reasonable prices- generous portions, elegant presentation and fabulous service. Try the 10 martini to warm you up ( mashed fresh ginger!) on a cold night. Knowledgeable bar staff and waiters. Couldnt have had a better experience.

Ordered sushi take out the other night from Ten and found it to be bland and tasteless! Really, no taste at all. Youed be much better off ordering from the place over on 7th and 4th street across from John J HS. its cheeper, tastes better and they always seem to have an A in the window. Ten gets a Five in my book . Really has gone down hill in the last year. This from someone who has grown up in NY and has eaten fresh fish all his life. Mike

Stopped in here one Saturday afternoon for a late lunch and enjoyed the chicken kushiyaki and beef maki. It was my first time dining here and I loved that I had a choice between sidewalk service and the chic interior. Love the decor and vibe, definitely good for a date night. Note: If youre like me and love Japanese-style food but not seafood, youll find limited options here.

Nasty non-fresh food! I dont know what happened to this place lately, but their food has severely gone down. I used to love this place and get food all the time. Now, the sushi doesnt taste fresh, theres no flavor, tempura tastes like it was fried yesterday, and some of the staff has changed and the newer ones are very rude! Avoid this place ...its not worth it anymore!

Great sushi, great service, great prices for NY. The sushi is fresh and well prepared. The tempura is flavorful and battered perfectly. The Udon broth is homemade and full of flavor. The tempura Udon is a great deal because you get a great vegetable Udon with a nice side of tempura (they dont put it in the soup where it can get all soggie). Great atmosphere as well.

This might just be Park Slopes best kept secret. They do a fantastic omakase, the staff is kind and decor is quietly elegant, and the price is decent considering the quality of the fish. Youll pay a bit more than some of the places nearby, but its worth it. The only place Ive ever seen two types of eel on the menu! Mmm, eel...

This is the best sushi place in Brooklyn (& therefore the world). The specialty hand rolls are so creativelly prepared with everything from apples, mangos, & fried onions, to the traditional tangy mayo & fresh tuna/salmon & fried eel. The decor is calming with subdued light & soft contemplative music.

If youre looking for an excellent dining experience, this is the place. Restaurant decor is thoughtfully designed with attention to detail. The food is reasonably priced and pleasingly plated. Wait staff is friendly and efficient. An overall pleasant dining experience.

My favorite uber-local sushi joint. The sushi is always tasty, seems fresh and never breaks the bank. Nice crowds every evening speaks to the restaurants popularity amongst the locals. Service has always been spot-on.

Great neighborhood sushi restaurant - cozy place, friendly waiters and reasonably priced sushi. Had the peanut avocado roll as well as the vegetable naruto roll. Both are highly recommended for vegetarians!

Great presentation and decor. Server had minimal menu knowledge and slow service but very accommodating none the less. Not to mention the amazing sizeable drinks.

wtf. this sashima was unreasonably good for 12 bucks. so fresh. 100 dollar sushi might be better, but most 20 dollar sushi is 5 times worse

Nice ambiance with some outdoor seating available. The hibachi and sushi were both pretty tasty but not out of this world.

We had a lovely time here on a beautiful summer evening. I really like that you can order tempura by the piece!
