Bottomless mimosa brunch... Yes, Im a fan! Made a reservation on Saturday morning at 10:30am but probably didnt need it. The place didnt get crowded until about 11 and then by the time we left at noon there was a wait. The weather was also so nice out that we sat on the patio, which is first come first serve. Also, warning, the patio is small, probably seats 6 on one end, 6 on the other, and maybe 8 on high boys. However, the staff is VERY accommodating and figured out a way to get a large party out there without disrupting the foot traffic. One thing that really impressed me here is the service. Everyone was coming by to refill water and mimosas and clear plates and were genuinely very nice. We were also on the struggle bus, so our waiter was so patient with us! Food wise, this is brunch fare kicked up a notch. I had the club which was great, with super yummy bacon, and their fries are to die for. Others in the group were very happy with the pancakes and bacon and Benedict!

I had been searching for a go-to French restaurant in Chicago for a while—after dining here for lunch during Restaurant Week, I concluded that I found that restaurant. For our starter, we had the celeriac soup, which was a delicious, rich soup made with celery root. I had the duck for my main, and the profiteroles for my dessert. What I liked about Bistronomic was that their dishes were French dishes served with a modern twist. Service was good (slightly slow near the end when we were waiting for our dessert), and the waiter was cute with his French accent. Slightly annoyed that the final charge applied to my credit card was off by a few dollars, but I’m going to give the waiter the benefit of the doubt that it was an honest mistake (only because he was cute).

This bistro serves authentic French bistro food in a modern decor or a pleasant covered outside dining area. The early evening three course prix fixe menu is an excellent deal, and includes so of the best menu selections. Duck confit was perfectly crisped, served with a lightly dressed frisee salad. Salmon was perfectly browned and served over some marvelous vegetables. Two classic desserts round out the prix fixe menu. The wine list focuses on affordable French wines, with a limited selection by the glass. Service was friendly and efficient. While the ambiance is not traditional, of the French bistros in River North, this is my favorite for food.

My appetizer and dessert were fantastic. The entree tried to come together but never did. We did the restaurant week menu, this was their version of short ribs. It tasted...Oddly put together. The texture was strange, too soft and just...Not palatable. If the service had been good, I would have easily bumped this to a four star review but the service was just as disappointing as the main. Our waiter mostly ignored us and our requests. I was on the verge of just leaving when he finally bothered to pick up the check. Would not return and for the level that this establishment boasts, would not recommend.

Great food but totally not worth the wait. I would have given 2 stars, but I am cutting them some slack because it was restaurant week. We had a reservation at 7:30, got seated at 8, got our wine at 8:30, appetizers at 9, entrées at 9:45. At least after that they sped up with the dessert and the check probably because they saw that I was almost asleep in my chair. The appetizers and desserts were delicious. However, the bouillabaisse entrée was way too sweet. Go there if you are ok with spending over 3 hours on a 3 course meal.

My friends and I went for brunch and the food was delicious across the board. The waitress was really nice and the atmosphere was relaxed enough for brunch. My only qualm was that it was half empty yet we were persistently asked whether or not we were done. Some of the waiters looked like they were anxious to get us to leave so we felt a little pressured. Otherwise, go for the food. Or let it be known early on that you plan on staying for a while.

Sa far, the worse service we have had in Chicago. 1 hour into the meal, the watered hadnt taken our order, we were ignored and the waitress was not apologetic knowing we were unhappy. We didnt eat there after all. In the end, the owner apologized, guaranteed a better service, so thats why Im giving the restaurant 3 stars. If I decide to go back, Ill rerate it. Its a shame, we eat out most of the week and we are pretty generous with our ratings.

Delicious food, imaginatively conceived and perfectly prepared. Very congenial atmosphere and amiable service. --We especially enjoyed the quiet and intimacy of the "back room" behind the bar. Ideal for a memorable dinner in an environment wherein you may talk and be heard! Amongst Chicagos best at reasonable price for the quality and location. Very highly recommended. Were putting it on our "regular" list for frequent returns.

For the price, the food isnt delicious. To say the least, the table of cheese was the best thing we had for dinner. The duck was really well cooked, but not full of flavor. A friend ordered scallops and we really disappointed. Another friend had four cheese pasta with bacon, which was extremely oily and had no flavor at all. Service was great, but the food is not worth it.

Brunch was lovely. My buddy had the chicken and waffles with bacon, I had a Benedict with mushrooms and roast potatoes. The house cocktail is bitter and crisp. Welcome was warm and friendly. Service was excellent. Prices are higher, but the food quality, ambience make it a good value. Very busy, so book on OpenTable before arriving to avoid a wait.

My favorite French restaurant in Chicago. Had delicious lamb racks and the Clarendelle red vine from Bordeaux is an excellent price-quality choice by the restaurant. The waiter from France augmented the experience with his gastronomic knowledge and highly professional service. And all that excellence for a very reasonable price in Chicago.

Nougier still rocks. Have followed him from 160 Blue to Cafe des Architects to now his own place. Solid French country cooking. Most responsive service. Came with friend recovering from cancer and limited in what she could eat. Made food from scratch for her.

Was lucky enough to have a vendor take me here who was also about to start a juice cleanse. We basically ordered one of everything on the menu and have eaten at Paris Club earlier that week, I definitely say the French food was better here.

I liked it, but the creme brulee that everyone is raving about was not great. I mean, its not bad, but the chocolate overpowers the creme. If you are a fan of traditional creme brulee this wont be your favorite. They should have both.

Great meal! Well prepared with fresh ingredients. Seared tuna was a tiny bit overcooked for our taste, but still great. Baked Alaska dessert felt like a little bit of an afterthought. Friendly service and great atmosphere.

The service staff is insanely polite and friendly, our food was taking a while so they brought us complementary mussels which were AMAZING. The salmon was the best Ive had in my entire life. Oh my gosh I love this place.

We thought the food was delicious, the service excellent and the atmosphere comfortable and charming. Authentically French, and reasonable prices given the choice location. Will come back when we get to Chicago again!
