I dont like writing bad reviews but I have tried this place twice and while I will concede it is charming and has a nice array of baked goods the sandwiches are terrible. I got a caprese today (a sandwich that highlights mozzarella cheese) that was literally just two pieces of processed square "mozzarella" cheese. why even have it on your menu if you arent going to use actual mozzarella and if you are going to be that skimpy with it? you could get a better version of this sandwich from the grocery store. I will commend them for their knife work though, as the sandwich had some of the most thinly sliced tomatoes I have ever seen. Granted, it only had two slices, but the ability to cut them so thin has to be a talent. The previous time I have gotten the ham and cheese crepe, which consisted of processed bagged cheese and processed diced ham. If you are going to claim to be "gourmet" a good start would be using real cheese, not some stuff from a bag. Go, try their baked goods because those seem to be much better quality, but do not order from their sandwiches, you could literally just go a few blocks further to the gas station on MLK and get the same quality.

This little shop is over the top on quality, taste, atmosphere, variety, creativity, customer service, presentation and authenticity!!!! Angela and Alexandre have an intense passion for unadulterated parisien recipes, and a pure desire to share the delight of them with our city. Le Café Gourmet has added a new and completely new dimension to Savannahs gastronomic map, and they offer it as a truly precious gift!!!! Fresh, local and made-from-scratch, even the mayonaise is made in-house, every dish, sandwich, crêpe and dessert we have adored. Everytime we visit, we eat more than we intended, because we cannot resist trying the new and re-living the classic crêpes, breads and pastries they create. Every bite transports us back to our strolls through the streets of Paris and reminds us the value of true handmade delicacies!!!!! Nous adorons Le Café Gourmet.... If you are in Savannah, you dont want to miss out on this place!!!!

I almost never eat downtown, what with parking and the cost, but I just found out about this place while on a food tour a friend was guiding. The Crepes were so light, yet filling. I split a savory ham and brie with my friend but I had to get a sweet for myself after enjoying that. Nutella is classic, but then coconut for a crunch on the Choco Coco was surprising and delicious. With the chefs delicate hand it was super cool to see the crepes prepared right in front of me. Was also impressed with the pastries and breads prepared daily, but only had so much time. Going back in the morning.

Really good food, cute place. The food was excellent! Quiche was good. Crepes are made right there in front of you on a hot griddle/stone/plate, which is neat to watch! But its slow... They only do one crepe at a time and they arent super quick to make, so you usually have to wait for orders ahead of you and then yours. Coffee is good, nothing special. Its a cute place but its small, so it can be a tight squeeze.

Cafe Gourmet is my Sunday lunch spot. As a hotel concierge I know which restaurants are consistently good enough for recommendation to guests. This little gem is truly a French delight. I usually order quiche and side salad. The salad fills half the plate and takes me through the rest of the day at work. You wont find fresher baked items. The quiche may as well float away from the plate. Theyre that light.

Französische Inhaberin, beste Crêpes an der Ostküste - ein Muss wenn man in Savannah ist. Man kann diese kleine Café leicht übersehen... Savory Crepes waren frisch und köstlich.

Great place! Very friendly, fantastic food and incredible baked goods. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu, dont walk out without trying a baguette, take it to go if you need to. It can get pretty crowded, theres some outdoor seating, if its peak hours you may want to order to go. The owner is extremely friendly, well be back many times!

This is a tiny hidden jewel right in the heart of West Congress area. The adorable ladies serve up delicate, simple pastries and sandwiches that melt in the mouth. Dont go looking for an American grease breakfast. This is a gentle place for people who are not in a hurry.

I love bakeries! This is legit French bakery. Yum. Friendly, tucked out of the way, would be at home on Rue Saint-Denis, Montréal. (visited in the summer growing up) I had a pear croissant it was 5 out of 5. $4 yum Im full for the afternoon. Savannah is delicious. :)

Excellent pastries! We are here multiple times during our stay in Savannah. The food was freshly made and served hot. The place is small but clean. We had breakfast, lunch, and treats. We will return the next time we are in the area!

The owners are very kind and amazing! Iff you are nostalgic for a french café feel or you are curious what traditional french baking tastes like this is your only option in savannah. Thankfully it fills the niche perfectly.

Quick service, very nice employees. Crepes were yummy and the espresso was top notch. Very cute decor, clean bathroom. Only reason its not 5 stars is because they forgot the spinach in my crepe, but it was still delicious!

Great little local creperie and sandwich shop in the old town. They seem to do a brisk business but still manage to keep wait times down. Definitely worth a visit.
