Ginza is a bright spot in the Green Hills dining scene. Everything my dining companion and I sampled from the sushi to the gyoza to the teriyaki was tasty and fresh. Our food came out very quickly contrary to other reviews, and the sheer value for the quantity of food received was amazing. The atmosphere is simple, cozy. The staff were not particularly warm but certainly attentive. One strange thing I observed over the course of our meal were the crowd- overwhelmingly twenty-something women with messy buns wearing almost-pajamas in pairs blowing off steam and saying things like "Epic!" a lot. If tonights crowd is indicative of the regular clientele, its no wonder the staff seems more than a little annoyed, and who could blame them! I look forward to many more trips here whenever Im in the area.

I went to Ginza last night and we ordered 3 shushi rolls. The board looked delicious when it came to the table but then i reached for some ginger. In the middle of the pile of ginger was an alive brown bug. I believe it may have been a German cochroach. I immediately flagged down a girl working and they said they would remake it. Looking back we should have just left but i was in such shock I didnt exactly know what to do. They brought us some seaweed salad while we waited for the rolls to be remade. The sushi tasted fine but I didnt eat the ginger on the second board of sushi. When we got our check they charged us for everything! $40! I was hoping they might have at least given us a discount or something. Anyway I am extremely disappointed with Ginza and I will never return.

I love sushi, and I know I am very particular about it. I did not like the food served here, and neither did my boyfriend. He ordered a hot meal and it was stone cold, my sashimi was uncomfortably warm, the rice in our bowls was old and crunchy, and the salad was salty because of the miso paste it was covered in. I love miso, but I dont want to eat paste. It was very overpriced considering the lack of atmosphere, and the waitress never placed half of our order, not to mention how the food tasted. However, if you go, go for the sushi alone, and order from the bar. My four piece California roll was the only thing I was able to eat, the ingredients were fresh, and they did not skimp on the crab meat.

THE WORST FOOD not just Japanese food, THE WORST FOOD I EVER ATE. The service was terrible, they didnt acknowledge my hand raised until the third person saw it and theyre was only two other families in there. The Beef teriyaki was trash!!!! And when I tried to return it he said he couldnt and that he could only take $5 off. So I paid almost $15 for something that I didnt even eat half of. DONT waste your time with this place. I wish I could rate lower. I really love Asian cuisines but this place is just a trash.

I am actually a fairly patient person, as well as a server in college. However, I was not happy with how slow every step of my meal was. I got my water, waited a few minutes. Got a menu, waited forever. Ordered two rolls. The first took almost 30 minutes. I wanted spicy mayo but nobody checked on me until i was finished with it about 15 minutes later. AT that time they apologized my other roll was taking so long (it was raw and basic). I didnt get my 2nd roll until I already had my check.

Love sushi and sashimi, however, very picky about who makes it. Favorite is Peters Thai and sushi in Brentwood - absolute freshest. Second favorite is Basil Bistro in Cool Springs. Just found Ginza in Green Hills. Good alternative. Creative rolls, good service, friendly sushi chefs - William was very kind and generous. Only reason cant give five stars is the sashimi slices are a little too thick for me, however, still fresh and tasty. Will definitely go back.

I ordered a spicy tuna roll and my husband ordered tekka don. The tekka don was delicious! The tuna was fresh and yummy! My spicy tuna on the other hand was the "fishiest" tuna I have ever had. I couldnt even force it down with soy sauce and wasabi all over it! Needless to say I told the server and they acted like we were idiots. It was clearly not the same tuna as the tekka don. Disappointed that they didnt offer to make it right. Will not be returning!

Ive been to Ginza a few times, and the sushi is good so I decided to try the terriyaki. MISTAKE! I had the terriyaki shrimp, which was overcooked and without flavor. My friend had the terriyaki salmon which was also horribly overcooked. The miso soup was very grainy and barely even warm. For a $50 meal, we were both VERY disappointed.

I have been going to Ginza since 2005, and I can honestly say I have never had anything bad there. It gets very busy at peak eating hours, but the food is always good. They lost a star because even at slow times, only one other table in the restaurant, the service can be a bit slow. But hands down, this is the best place in town

I have had sushi all around the world and this place continues to be one of my favorites. The quality is always top notch and the prices are reasonable. Everything is always so fresh, the people polite and the experience is fabulous. Thank you for making my sushi experience amazing every time I visit your establishment!

Delicious sushi! The fire crunch roll is my favorite - crunchy shrimp, cream cheese and fire sauce. The rolls are really fairly priced, and I have yet to find a roll that I didnt like there. I recently moved out of Nashville and always make a point to go to Ginza whenever Im in town.

Its been recently renovated. Always nice music, humble servers, decent food. The only reason I give it 4 start is the fact that it never was cozy and the food is not great. Its okay, definitely better than a Chinese place next door.

Yum! Just what youd expect from a classic hibachi restaurant: polaroids of birthday celebrations in the entry way, good food and good service. If youve got kids in your crew, order them the "Japanese Sprite" for a fun treat.

No atmosphere and the wine was really bad. However, the sushi was awesome and reasonably priced. The perfect place to visit if you just want sushi. If you want atmosphere, go somewhere else.
