First off, I want to say that the food at Spitz (any SLC location) is always 5 stars. They use fresh ingredients and I keep coming back here again and again. But I have to give the 4 stars because of my biggest frustration... The way their wraps are wrapped is infuriating! The paper goes completely insidethe wrap, so the only way to get it out is to open it up and lose half of your food into the basket. Particularly once you reach the bottom, its impossible to finish without demolishing the wrap entirely. Also, half of the time the lavash bread will stick to the paper, like completely melds and becomes one with the wrap. So you try to peel back the top layer and it rips the bread straight down the side. Then you spend minutes trying to separate the bread from the paper... Its incredibly annoying, and if the food wasnt so damn good is never come back. But, the food is amazing so I keep returning and crossing my fingers that it will get better.

Best natural birth experience of my life, and Im an authority on the topic. They made it so comfortable and tended to my and my new babbys every desire. Which includes wheat based savoury snackings. Readers, take note for when we meet if you would like to fulfill your obligations to me at that time. The Nurse who took me in for the services was gracious enough to personally prepare special food items of which I am currently the only person ever eat. And I provided the establishment with the greatest consumed food recyclement I could turn out into their side closet donut seat. Please tip her graciously by whatever means you have available. Even if that means going to her house and tossing cans inside her window so that she may recycle them for trading papers. I uploaded a photo of my babby at crowning

Im a big fan of the Spitz in downtown SLC and I try to visit every time Im in town. I was out in Sandy in business so I stopped by the Spitz in Cottonwood Heights for lunch. It has the same great food as the downtown location. The girl behind the counter was very friendly, but the girl running the food seemed a little distracted. I ordered the Donner Basket with beef and lamb (which is amazing). When the waitress placed the food in front of me, the falafel ball rolled into my lap and onto the floor. She was either not paying attention and or didnt care because she just walked away. Not a huge deal and maybe she was new, but little details like this should be tightened up if they want to live up the the Spitz reputation.

If you are looking for a nice meal as the reviews say above, dont go here. Three strikes youre out is my motto – walked in, half the tables had not been bussed, still have dishes out unwiped. Sat at the bar waited nearly 5 minutes before our first hello, and that even came with a passing person who wasnt going to stop and help us quite yet. The straw that broke the camels back was watching the people that came in *behind us* walk to the cash register to order something. And they received service first . Nope. Nope. Nope.

The thing I love about Spitz is the freshness of their food and it is consistently good. The Doner Salad and their Street Cart Fries with mixed fries (potato and sweet potato) are a couple of my favorites. The veggies on the salad are always fresh and crisp. The fries come smothered with an incredible sauce thats not too heavy, chopped tomatoes, onions, pepperoncinis, and green peppers, different but incredibly delicious. This is one of my favorite places to eat.

Food is always fantastic here. The service is fantastic, and the restaurant is clean and presentable. My wife and I have eaten a variety of things on their menu, but there is one item that keeps us coming back for more. The Doner Basket, for your choice of protein, do the beef & lamb, and sweet potato fries on the bottom. You wont regret your choice! It is a fantastic mixture of a myriad of different flavors!

I really like having great food like this in Cottonwood Heights. Doner Kebabs are the late night munchie food of most of Europe. Similar to a Gyro and this place makes them proper. I had the Street Doner Kebab and it was excellent. The wrap was a lavash or Armenian style wrap which was a nice twist. Also, they have a bar which makes it excellent for dinner or "working" lunches.

Really cool ambience. Unfortunately if youre looking for a döner kabob like those in the Benelux region (and probably other areas of Western Europe), youre probably going to be disappointed. In place of a Turkish flat bread is something more like a tortilla, which was really the only disappointment. Great tasting food nonetheless.

Got the schwarma meat on fries. Filling and tasty. Meat tasted a little overdone (crispy) but still satisfying. Fun atmosphere but the music was a little loud and made it hard for a group of 10 to carry conversation. Good music though, found myself ignoring the group and singing along instead. Maybe that wasnt a con afterall

Had lunch here after a nice ski. The food was great. They seemed really short staffed, but our food arrived quickly. As per most Greek restaurants, the fries were awesome. The lavash was a little dry, but otherwise everything was spot on. They have a bunch of board games to play while you eat, which our kids really loved.

Really unimpressed. The food was overpriced for the quality we received. The falafel was VERY dry, which was VERY disappointing. We also tried the fried garbanzo bean side and it was awful. We couldnt even finish it. Overall, the meal was mediocre and disappointing. We will not be going here again.

So glad to have a Spitz close by. This is one of my top 3 favorite places to eat. The mixed meat fries with regular potatoes are my favorite. Salads are huge and delicious too. Not to mention, reasonably priced. Love the atmosphere and naturally flavored water (orange basil, mint, cucumber)

Fun place. Trendy. The food is unique but good. It is a twist on Greek food. The music over the speakers is a little loud. They could use a little more seating inside but if it is a nice day, a great option is to sit outside which has great views of the mountains.

Excellent counter served food with a great ambiance. Enjoyed the fries smothered with a bunch of goodness and topped with lamb and chicken. The sangria was also very good. Great vibe with games to play and stay for a while if so desired. Highly recommend.

Great service, excellent food, smiles all over the place accompanied by beer. Whats not to like? Plus, its so close to the canyon, why not take the food for a picnic? After... Before... Reasonable timing with your beer.. of course.

The street cart fries are pretty fantastic. I added the beef/lamb mix and it put it over the top! Ive tried multiple items from the menu and everything is always good. If you dont like onions though, it may not be your favorite.

I had the Berlin Donner and a Greek salad. The Donner was wrapped with this paper that stuck to the wrap making it extremely difficult to unwrap. The flavors were good but the value for the meal really wasnt great.
