I was extremely disappointed in the experience that I had here. The food was decent, but the service was absolutely terrible and we will not be back. I am a vegetarian and ordered the vegetable hibachi plate which was $14. I assumed that ordering a vegetable plate would provide me with either more vegetables than the plates where people ordered meat, or I would receive a greater variety of vegetables. This was not the case. I was given the standard vegetables provided to everyone else, but received far less vegetables than everyone else in my party. My mother thought it was a joke and that our chef would put more vegetables on my plate but this did not happen. When he had leftover vegetables after serving them to everyone, he gave them to my husband. I had also asked for my food to be prepared in the back since I do not eat meat and didnt want my food prepared with all of the meat. The chef forgot to do this, and so my food was prepared with the rest of the tables. My sister requested that her chicken be prepared without the teriyaki sauce and our chef forgot to do this and ruined her entire meal by putting the chicken with teriyaki sauce that she does not eat all over the rice and veggies. Instead of offering to make it again and fix the problem he just apologized. She could not finish her meal. Every bill but one at our table had something wrong with it, including a family who had ordered a kids meal and been charged for an adult meal. The server refused to change it so the family had to pay for an adult meal for their tiny daughter. It was truly a shockingly bad experience. Avoid this place at all costs!

First off, I would like to start off by blaming you, the folks with great reviews of this place...you let me down. I have been to a handful of hibachi restaurants with great success and walked away with a smile every time...not true here. My wife and I first walked in and were immediately struck by the musty odor that encompassed the whole building. We were sat quickly and ordered our drinks, 15 mins later we received them. We ordered two rolls of sushi and literally had to use a spoon as they were falling apart. The food wasnt horrible; however, the sauces were disgusting. Both the mustard sauce and the "other one" were full of ginger and inedible...thats being nice. On a side note, the cook that we had was pretty funny. I have never seen a Hispanic man with broken English attempt to act/speak Japanese. Folks, go somewhere else.

I wanted to introduce my 7 year old daughter to hibachi style dining for lunch today. Ill start by saying the food was okay, but it was the most boring cook Ive ever witnessed. The only exciting thing for her to see was him lighting the grill when he started. There were no tricks, no jokes, and zero entertainment during lunch. She was completely unimpressed with the whole dining experience and Im left with saying "Usually, its a lot of fun." and describing the various tricks people do... As for the "service" rating being poor/fair its mostly due to the lack of entertainment, but I had to ask 3 times for chop sticks, and wait for ever for the to go box, and my drink was empty for about 10 minutes before I got a refill... ALL of which I would have overlooked if the my daughters first Hibachi experience would have been memorable.

Eh..., ( I had the Chicken Hibachi), if were to compare the Hibachi Chicken at Shoguns to other Japanese restaurants i would have to rate it fair. The vegetables, chicken and rice were cooked well however a bit to salty for my taste. The meal did come with a ginger sauce and what I believe to be a wasabi sauce of sorts however a bit runny. The salad was basic; lettuce and carrots however the salad dressing was delicious. The meal was served with soup (chicken broth) which i could live without. The people and the atmosphere were nice. I may go to taste the sushi however probably not the Hibachi Chicken again.

Very dull environment. Went for a date and was extremely underwhelmed. We arrived at 4:30, the posted dinner time, and waited while staff sat on the other side of a window and stared at us while we waited to be helped. I ordered scallops and steak, but the scallops were burnt and the rest of the food was extremely salty. The ice cream served after the meal was a strange combination of chocolate and bubble gum. And to top it off, the fortune cookies were stale and fortuneless. Extremely pricey for such a poor experience. We dont plan on going back.

Drove to Shoguns and verified the open hours posted on their door before parking. We arrived and went in at 2pm and the posted hours state they are open until 2:30. When we were greeted we were told the hibachi was closed and the sushi bar was open until 2:10. When I said the door states they are open until 2:30 we were advised they close at 2 pm and are only open for those lingering.

We thought this experience was well done! He people are super friendly! The atmosphere was warm and and we had a wonderful waiter. Very thorough with service and would always be on top of thinga. Our Hibachi grill guy knew what he was doing. We tipped well considering it was a delightful time! We will be going back. Food excellant and fresh! You wont be sorry.

The atmosphere was fun, the service was excellent, and the SUSHI was the best I have ever eaten and I have been eating Sushi since 1978. I am going back for one of their steaks next time. I hope our daughter invites us to visit her in Nashville again, real soon. We also met the owner, Mike, and he was a perfect host and treated us like family.

We had a reservation at 7:15 and didnt get seated until 7:45. There was a huge party of teenagers in our room, and they were being extremely loud. So loud I couldnt speak to the friends I came with. Our waitress never smiled and the hostess was horrible. Its was my first experience at a Shogun and I wont be back.

If you dont go when its busy you might have to wait longer for your table to fill up ( which is when they will start cooking in front of you). My waitress was amazing, and so was the chief. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, which turned out great. Their yum yum sauce is a nice touch.

This is a pretty good Hibachi steak house with a small sushi restauramt as well. If you dont wamt to eat woth strangers, you can order the steak house fare in the sushi restaurant. It is usually pretty quiet on the sushi side. The food is pretty good and consistent.

Food is always good. Booked reservations for my family on Fathers day and was told the menu would be as normal. Come to find out they price gouged to take advantage of the holiday. I would be more generous with my rating, but that is just unacceptable.

My husband and I ate here for dinner on a Sunday. After reading some of the reviews we were leery but decided to try it anyway and were glad we did. The service, show, and food were all great! We will definately be back!
