Went the other night at 935 p.m. Doors to dining room locked. Signage states dining room hours are until 10 p.m. Sometimes, even if Im getting my food to go, I still like to go inside so I can spend some time looking at a menu. I get tired of ordering the same thing from a place, and I look to change up my menu. In this case, this is only the second time I have eaten at a Del Taco, and except for the churro, (which was for my wife. Im not a fan.) I probably wont return here again. And its not just because the doors were locked at least 25 minutes early. This is the second time that I have tried orders containing "Carne Asada". I say it like that, because both times, (the first time being well over a year ago) the "steak" was overdone so much, and was very tough. Im not looking for Ruths Chris steakhouse steak on my fast food, but I would like it prepared as to still be palatable. The other issue, and it might have been more of a vision issue for the gentleman at the drive though window, was I was shortchanged. I caught it as my change was given to me, and the way the employee responded, I do believe it was an honest mistake. If I give the benefit of the doubt, I can see where the 8 could be a 0, but this is why its important to know how to give change without the register telling you what it is. It may be picky on my part, but I get frustrated when I see cashiers of ANY age struggle with math. In the time it takes for me to drive from the order screen to the window, I know what my change will be. I can do it all in my head!!! And Im no math prodigy. You might even call it new math. In this case the order came to 14.18. I gave them a 20. I knew that regardless of the bills I gave, I was gonna get 82 cents back, and maybe a 5 spot. Work with me here. Some people who "hate" math might have a hard time figuring out that change in their head, because they focus on the wrong info. Just look to see how much it takes to get to the next 10s number. 2 cents. That puts you at 20. To get from 20 to 100 takes 80, so I am owed 82 cents. If I paid with 15 dollars, thats it. If I pay with a 20, add 5 to the 82 cents. Do you see what I am doing? Anyways, Im also going to call the owner about the door issue. That I think should be addressed regardless. There was no explanation given when I asked why the door was already locked.

I love deltaco. But this one has some management problems. It shows in the staff training and quality of the food. Deltaco is fastfood but they taste decent everywhere else. This place suffers in comparison to the other deltacos ive been to. The fries were fresh but the Carne Asada steak burrito was so bad I had to return the uneaten portion for a refund. Its advertised on the menu as 3x Carne Asada. However the employee explained its 3x of a little tiny scoop. She explained we even gave you extra because were closing. I thought to myself they gave me extra old chewy steak. Since they didnt offer anything else to eat I asked for a refund on my burrito. They gave me a hassle saying i already ate part of it. I admitted i did eat part of it but was just not happy. I was refunded the burrito price with no apology or offer to make it right because they were closed. Why did I feel so ripped off even after getting my refund. Another thing. This restaurant is not open 24hrs as displayed here on Google. Apparently, I got my order just before they closed at 11pm. When I came back to exchange my food I sat at the drive through speaker for 5 Minutes. 4 cars lined up behind me. I decided to pull up to the window and they gave me the "were closed" hand signal. I had to wave them over so I could return my food. After I pulled out with my refund the drive through line was 5 or 6 deep with people thinking theyre open. I waited 5mins at the speaker until I pulled forward. I wonder how long the rest of those customers waited before they realized they were closed. Haha With the other choices in the area, I recommend you choose another place. I hope the management gets their act together because I like del taco. Just not this one... Im eating in the taco bell parking lot now. Hehe. Who would have thought taco bell is the better choice...they now have surpassed del taco with better tasting food and better customer service.

Weve been eating at this location for years, although the interior is still clean and well-kept its gone downhill a bit. The drive-thru is no longer 24 hours, closing instead now at 11 p.m. We stopped in here to eat last week, and they closed the doors to the lobby about 10 minutes early. Wed gone through the drive-through at about 9:45 p.m., and afterwards decided we wanted some drinks. Instead of going back through the drive-thru, I decided it was easier just to walk in, order and fill them ourselves. It was only 9:50 so the lobby should have been open for 10 more minutes. Instead, all the doors were already locked. This is hardly the first Del Taco Ive seen this problem at. While traveling, I have seen the Del Taco in Red Bluff, CA close their drive thru early.

This place honestly kills me. They are one of the only ones around for a very long ways so we are forced to go here because we love the food so much. The staff is what breaks this place. We go often (because of my boyfriends lust for the chicken soft tacos) and every single time we do someone doesnt understand us through the intercom and gets the order wrong, we end up with not all of our stuff in the bag or the wrong stuff, or its just in general awful customer service. However, I will continue to return. It cant be helped. THE FOOD IS TOO GOOD! (for fast food that is)

For the past year the order I receive is wrong, which makes me sad because I love Del Taco. I always get the egg and cheese burrito but it has consistently been wrong. It is made with either the cheese or sauce missing. On one occasion it was just an egg burrito. I would be more understanding if it was a complex burrito with a lot of ingredients, but come on now, it is only 4 ingredients. I gave them one more chance today and switched it up by ordering a bacon breakfast burrito and yet again something was missing, the bacon.

Love this Del Taco, the food and the people who work there. I love eating at Del Taco. I come from Longview, WA to eat here. I wont go to the Vancouver Del Taco anymore because of the bad attitude of the manager who I suspect is the owner because no owner would put up with a manager like that one. Everything about the Hillsboro Del Taco is great from the management to the workers and food. Keep up the good work!!!

Horrible, went there one time and and the Del Taco motto is I agree: "Unfreshingly believable", once you have gone only once you will find out how unfreshing it is rather than refreshing and believable after only going there once. Disgusting food and you are ripped off so quickly when you find out that you look at the menu expecting a certain amount of food and get maybe half of what the photos look like on the menu.
