My wife and I ordered two pitas: a chicken souvlaki with greek-type toppings (feta, tzatziki sauce, pepperoncini, olives, red onion and romaine) and a prime rib with the same toppings. It really makes a difference who prepares your pita. We decided we liked the chicken one better simply because the preparer added more sauce. The prime rib, fixed by a different person, had less sauce, making it drier. Anyway, the ingredients are nice and fresh, they were tasty, and the staff was friendly. In terms of the decor - it could use a better set of corporate art work - the bright green colors with cartoonish advertisements dont work - I say go a bit more Mediterranean.

This is a great lunch spot when you are in Salem! I love falafels and I really enjoyed eating here as I was able to customize my own falafel with whatever toppings I wanted. It is rare to find a falafel restaurant that lets you go nuts with toppings that your falafel explodes! I have eaten at Maoz in New York City, which also lets you build your own falafel, and this place brought back the great memories of eating there! I am hoping that Pita Pit comes to more cities!

This is like the subway of the pita! But its far better than subway. You pick the meat combo and while they grill the meat combo, they then fill you pita to order with whatever salad and vegetable add-ons with sauces. The food is really good and Ive tried 3 pitas so far and I plan to come back for more. As far as the atmosphere, bright colors fun lights kinda loud environment.

This place is the bomb-diggity when it comes to eating healthy. The staff really care about how you want your pita prepared and are always cheerful. I love the veggie ingredients and sauces too. The meats arem grilled to perfectly complement the awaiting pita masterpiece. I will be back again and again.

Love this place. Offers rewards points on purchases towards free pitas, 10℅ military discount, $1 refill on my 32 ounce cup, AND has Magic drink machine to mix the exact favorite flavor is your favorite soft drink. Oh and the staff is super friendly.(not that I am into that)

About the same variety and quality of ingredients as Subway. I thought the food was bland. I even got the chipotle sauce--wasnt very spicy. I guess the biggest disappointment was the long black hair in my pita--yuck. On the plus side theres a decent sushi place next door.

After going to other pita pits across the country, I can say this is the best one Ive been to, it was also my first one. The employees dont hate themselves, the owner is a cool person, and they were always generous to me, they rock, anytime Im in Salem I will drop in.

Good for fast, simple, no-frills pita wraps and salads. Its super busy for lunch during the week and typically desolate in the evening. Falafel wrap is good, and they have a fancy touch screen Coke machine. There are about 10 seats inside and 10 outside.

Food was great! This was my first time eating at Pita Pit. There were 11 of us on my Americorps team and Becca was the only person working. She did an amazing job and was so friendly. I had the chicken breast pita and it was delicious! Highly recommend.

For fast food, this was pretty darn good. We stopped in for a quick bite before seeing Lewis Black show. That was a lucky decision on our part. We got a quick, cheap and tasty treat. The staffpeople were very nice.

Ordered the buffalo chicken, delicious! A bit spicy, but I liked it! Worried there wouldnt be a lot of meat, but found it all in the middle and bottom! Would recommend! Decent on price too!

monday is double stamp day so buy the value meal to maximize your stamps to get a free pita quicker. oh and for lunch options, salem doesnt have many that are better
