The worst customer service Ive experienced in Tallahassee. The lady with the mole on her face was extremely rude and unprofessional. I ordered the oxtail (which was tuff and hard to pull off the bone) however, I did not want the veggies or cabbage. Every side that I asked to replace, they were out of. I agreed to get the extra rice and peas. She stared at me and asked me four times back to back, if i wanted the rice and peas. The young lady that was at the register, did not say one word to me. The total was on the screen, she looked at me, I gave her my card, she handed me the receipt, I signed it, and she walked away. Mole face lady came with my food, tied the bag, and as she was walking away facing the kitchen door.. She said have a great evening. I asked if she was speaking to me. She ignored me and walked into the kitchen. Needless to say, I will not be back and I will be sure to let everyone know what I experienced. BTW, the food wasnt that good. The oxtail was tuff and hard to pull off the bone. Not much gravy. The rice and peas were dry.

I just moved to Tallahassee & wanted some curry chicken , & this is the only Caribbean resturant near me.. Although many ppl told me not to go to G & Gs I went anyway :/ big mistake! The woman was nice to me but the food is terrible! The chicken was not cleaned & had soo much fat & skin! (I got more skin then I did chicken) YUCK! They dont put anything in the curry except chicken! No dumpling, no potatoes, no carrots! NOTHING.. I asked for boiled dumpling & they dont have any.. Now I see why the menu has almost nothing on it! The rice & peas was dry & way to sweet .. This is not a good place to go too ! I basically purchased curry skin for $8.00 !! Very disgusting!! They have to do better !

Why is G and G food on Adam street is gradually becoming the most expensive. $11 medium size of fish with rice on either Pensacola st. or Mac st. will be sold to you for $13 (claim to be large size but the same quantity of rice and similar size of fish) at the one on Adam street why?. Too much delay: G and G on Adam st. please be mindful of number of people who come there especially from Monday through to Friday (from 12 pm to 2.30pm). I had to be in queue for almost 50 mins (my lunch break is just 1 hr) to get what I wanted why? Because only one person was serving and ringing at the same time.

I see a lot of bad reviews here so I thought I would balance it out with my honest opinion. I had some jerk chicken here and freakin loved it. It was simple and spicy as hell, delicious, and fairly priced as I remember. I wouldnt bring a date here, but as far as platonic unsexy deliciousness goes, give it a try and dont be deterred by the bad ratings. Also, Im no specialist in Caribbean cuisine but I would think its rather diverse in comparison to some of the specific places mentioned here by others. My experience is based on Pensacola st, I guess theres another location too?

As a Caribbean from central/south Florida this is the worst experience I have ever had in a Caribbean restaurant. The two men at the front counter were rude and disrespectful. When I asked for white rice with my meal they told me if I wanted white rice then I need to go get it next door. He proceeded to insult me and tell me if I want seafood in less than 15 minutes then I need to go to Captain Ds. Also, why are American people running a Caribbean restaurant, no wonder the food is bad!

I cant get it anywhere commercially in my state so I make a point of finding Jamaican food whenever I travel. These friendly people have made my top 3 along Interstate 10! I have to whole heartedly disagree with Mr. David Taylor. I have eaten at JA spots all over the south and Midwest. Not only do thy give some of the best value for your dollar that Ive seen, it has the same feel as any other family take out restaurant Ive been to. Keep doing what youre doing folks!

I ordered the oxtails and peas and rice meal. The large was a very good portion but I received more fat and bone than actual meat. Also if you oftenly eat Caribbean food, (like myself) youll notice this doesnt really compare. The food tasted as if it was missing something. I dont know if they use homemade sauces or not but it tasted really bland. It didnt give my mouth the kick I was looking for. I will give them another try and reupdate if anything changes.

I would like to take the time to thank G&g Caribbean Restaurant for their donation to our church it truly was a blessing and very delicious. Everyone loved the oxtail, their were people from Panama city fl wanting to know where this restaurant location was, he said its worth the drive. Thanks again for your act of kindness. Good food, good people an awesome conbination. Its worth traveling the distance to eat at G&g Caribbean Restaurant

If I could give this restaurant negative stars I would. I got the curry chicken with rice and beans. It gave me bad diarrhea and I literally threw up everything else. It was the only thing I ate all day because after I ate it I couldnt think of eating anything else, my stomach was hurting soooo bad. I had to even leave work early. Please save yourself, because chicken is nothing to play with, and food borne illness is real.

Not sure from where these negative comments are coming. i am s South Florida Caribbean man, I have been in Tallahassee for fifteen years and have never had a problem with this establishment. The food is delicious and authentic. Granted, the service people dont smile much but I have never found them to be rude. Headed there right now.

The food is delicious, it reminds me of Miami and of my carribean roots. For whomever has said bad things they know nothing about Jamaican cuisine. I asking everyone to judge for themselves. Once you taste there dishes you will always be a customer. I loved it all. If you dont like the food thend obviously you dont love flavor!

The food is amazing!!! The size portion options they have are enough for 2 servings, they always load me up. I frequent at this restaurant at least 1 to 2 times every week! The service and staff are friendly as well. My favorite dish to order is the fried red snapper with a side of rice and peas with oxtail gravy on the rice

I believe that the G and G resturaunt is the best resturant ever. They have amazing customer service, and the owners of this business are amazing people. I personally love their Ox tails. If it were up to me I would eat at G and G Restuarant all the time. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

They must be under new management. The restaurant has been totally remolded. The cozy and authentic feel was lost in the process. The quality of the food and the service has diminished as well. The prices are outrageously high considering the taste of the cusine and the lackluster decor.
