Personally, I love A8 China. Its been my go-to fast food place since a few years back when I started attending college here. Theyve always had less than $6 lunch meals. It has the best General Tsos Chicken hands down: sweet and tangy. Asian Kitchens is usually tough and dry. The crab rangoon here is slightly sweet and very tasty. Another thing definitely worth noting: Ive eaten there on several occasions and Chinese students frequent it as a popular hangout. It makes sense to me because they actually make some delicious Chinese (non-gwailo) food.

my familys business used to service asian restaurants, so ive eaten a lot of chinese in my life. i find almost all cheap asian to be edible, until i visited a8. all cheap chinese is not created equal. opt for Jade Garden over a8 if possible. general tsaos chicken tasted very off, chemically. glasses for water tasted like soap. worth the extra 30 cents to eat at Stir Fry 88 on the east campus mall food court. see you there.

First of all. I live fairly close, what was said to be a 30min wait on my lo mien delivery order turned into an hour before calling to find out whats taking so long. i was told it would then be there in five min, it really took another 25 min. by the time the driver got here my food was obviously cold. took two bites and was finished. Very DISAPPOINTING!!!!! I would not recommend A8 China

Great and cheap food! My boyfriend wrote on the delivery notes that it was my birthday and they wrote happy birthday on the bag and put a soda in for me! Even though it was a small little surprise, I really appreciated the above and beyond customer service! Delivery was fast as well! We used to order from the same Chinese place all the time but we are officially switching over to A8 China!

Just ordered my food about an hour and a half ago, called 40 minutes in only to be told it would be here in 10-25 minutes. Called back after 25 minutes and they sat they dont know how long it would be for my order to arrive since the driver has 10 orders to deliver and no way to contact the driver. Seriously?!!! I shouldve just ordered from orient house.

Bad service. Horrible food. There are too many good restaurants in Madison to settle for places like this. If you want take-out, go around the corner to Asian Kitchen. They have good food, good service, and good prices; especially the lunch specials. The only downside to Asian Kitchen is that the servings are too large. I can live with that though.

I suppose the food is okay for the price, and convenient if you are on campus, which is why so many inexperienced college students give it great reviews. But they take a long time to cook the food (20 minutes for sweet and sour chicken), and Im pretty sure I got food poisoning. I will not go back here for any reason.

Just as the title says, this place will provide you with as much cheap Chinese food as you can carry at a reasonable price (think: cheap). Although the service and sanitation at this particular establishment is a little questionable, I have eaten here a few times without any major complaints.

I got take out here because I had a coupon. The food was ready when they said it would be, and is of acceptable quality. I feel I got a good value. If youre paying full price, do as the other reviewers have said and walk a block or two to get higher quality.

I love A8 China. It is your standard American Chinese Restaurant fare, with fast takeout service, and a free drink with a takeout order. It is my favorite go-to, basis Chinese place in Madison. The location is also very easy to access, so that helps too.

Went there during lunch special, typical Chinese food, not bad. The restaurant itself was dirty, unclean feeling, with multiple flies buzzing around the restaurant. Wouldnt recommend to eat at the restaurant but is probably okay for takeout/delivery.

Good/cheap lunch specials. I had fried tofu with vegetables and my wife had the clay pot pork rib with black bean sauce. Both dishes were quite tasty. The environment is clean and comfortable. Well be back without reservation.

Its been 2 hours and food is still not here... Called after an hour and employee said itll be there in a few minutes. At this point Im either expecting really, really cold food or no food at all. Disappointing.

My food got here within 15 minutes and it was all nice ans hot. I always order shrimp lo mein and it was perfect unlike some places where tbey over cook your shrimp. It was very tasteful and I am pleased.

I ordered the pork liver with chili (pork liver with "capsicum" on the menu). This was the best damn liver I ever had, and thats saying a lot because I loved my grandmas fried liver.
