While the dining room isnt huge, and you wont find much privacy outside of the private dining room in the back of the restaurant, it hardly seems to matter when the decor is engaging and the service staff more than acceptable. The star here is the food: maintaining a solid grip on the base sashimi and sushi options, the chef is also free to explore "Americanized" rolls on this full menu. They even include a solid number of hibachi options for those less inclined to indulge their sushi appetite. The presentation is always top notch from the rolls being well formed and attractively set to the carrot flowers and radish decoration on the plates. Between the range of food, quality of presentation, and overall hospitality, Ive yet to find a better sushi experience in Wake Forest.

One of the best fresh fish selections Ive come across in the RDU area, definitely in the north raleigh/wake forest area. Nice mix of fusion rolls and traditional sushi/sashimi, as well as gunkan. Fresh, not frozen, Toro often. Not pretentious like Mura in North Hills. Excellent sake selection. Two tatami rooms but call for them on weekends as they are always full. This place does not match what you would expect for a "strip mall" sushi bar...it exceeds it. Im used to several sushi bars in Atlanta, DC, New York. Its as close as youre going to get around here. So many places live on reputation not quality...remember that, especially with some of the usual suspects.

I went to the restaurant with a friend of mine for lunch at around 12:30 PM. There were about 10 to 15 pople dining with apparent one waitress serving the whole place. We asked the waitress for her recommendation since we liked Sashimi but not California rolls in their lunch combo. She did not seem to understand first, then finally she recommended something with quantity looked like an appetizer or even less, with few thin slices of raw fish, and thats all we had. I missed the authenticity when the restaurant was under previous management. For the appetizer lunch that I had, I felt the price was a bit too high. I likely will not come back here.

From owner to waitstaff, to bussers, the staff really go out of their way to provide warm, attentive, responsive service. We always feel welcome and well cared for. The food is always extremely fresh and delicious. I love the surf-and-turf roll (having a hard time remembering the exact names here), the shrimp tempura roll, and the all of the fresh tuna sushi have been good. They have some inventive combinations for the adventurous. Nice salads that include but go beyond the usual lettuce with creamy ginger sauce.

I went here with my wife and daughter last night and was blown away by the experience. Starting from the moment we walked in the door, everyone we saw made sure to make us feel welcome. Absolutely gorgeous decor inside that you would not expect looking in from the parking lot and the wait staff was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. Well definitely be making this restaurant a normal dine-out location going forward.

Food was great, it wouldve been better if it had been what we ordered. The waiter seemed inexperienced and confused. Brought out a bento box instead of steak hibachi. I ordered chicken hibachi and then he asked me if I wanted shrimp or steak. I told him that Im allergic to shrimp, that all I ordered was chicken, kind of worrisome.

We had a fun time and good service at this restaurant. The problem was when I got home. I became horribly sick after eating the dragon roll. I actually had a fever for two days -- which is a classic symptom of food poisoning. It was the most horrible sickness I have ever had. Beware!!

I just moved here from NY and this was okay at best. Certainly not the best sushi Ive ever had. Their seaweed salad was great, their basic rolls and salmon were good, but much of it was a bit fishy, and not exactly melt in your mouth tender/fresh.

The night we went they were obviously slammed but the food came out in a timely manner and was absolutely delicious. Rolls are reasonably priced without having to deal with gimmicky buy-one-get one purchasing you find at all too many sushi bars.

Usually good but very disappointing tonight. We got half our order in reasonable time but then it filled up and we didnt get any more for gan hour. We waited another 15 minutes for the rest before we gave up, paid our bill and left.

Food was ok, definitely have had better around here. Sushi did not taste all that fresh, and was way too flopppy. Server was friendly but did seem experienced or well put together. Overall not bad, but would not recommend.
