My wife and I have been getting dinner here about 10-15 times a year for the last four years. Some items on the menu are consistently good while others are routinely not. The sandwiches (Reuben, Rachel, and Prime Rib Hoagie) are generally pretty good. The salads are good (although they stopped making a really good spinach salad earlier this year). The other items are hit or miss. The cream of crab soup should be renamed cream of salt as it is difficult to eat with the amount of salt in it. The fried clam strips Ive had three times (yeah, I know I should have learned earlier) are always overcooked, tough, and chewy. The fried Rockfish and fries (their version of fish & chips) is 50/50; sometimes great but other times very soggy fish. The wings are cooked well, but for the price, they are generally small. Paying $10 for 8 wings (yes, $1.25 per wing) I would expect large, meaty wings. These are routinely the same size as those I used to get for $0.25 each at other places. Bottom line is, they have some good food and some mediocre food. The staff is always great and very friendly. I also like the fact that they dont expect you to tip the staff (they have signs about tipping all around the restaurant).

Pretty good. Definitely kind of pricey for a sandwich but my hot turkey sandwich was good, and the sweet potato fries and bay fries were good as well. They have one of those newer fountain machines that have the touch screens and let you pick what you want which is nice. They also offer beer if you were stopping by after work or something. I cant really see myself hanging out there and having a cold one - the atmosphere is a bit too lunch-ey for that but its nice that its offered. Service was fair. Overall A-OK if you are in the area and need a lunch or dinner option.

This is a Dunkirk gem hidden down the strip mall right past the Safeway and Wawa heading South on Route 4. If youve hit the Sassy Shoppe (which is awesome) youve gone too far. Menu has amazing choices from deli to gourmet, appears to use local products straight from the bay. All main dishes have just the right amount of food. Presentation is great, dishes are clean and service is fast and with a smile. Must order the fried green beans as an appetizer. Very happy to have such a high quality place in our little town!

Chesapeake Grille is a true diamond in the rough in Dunkirk, MD. Super friendly staff (that are paid a decent wage so all tips can go to charity), great menu, good ingredients, and interesting daily specials. The burgers are some of the best Ive ever had, the Rachel sandwiches (the cole slaw instead of sauerkraut version of a Rueben) are absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes are more than generous. Theres no other restaurant within 25 miles of the Chesapeake Grille that I would recommend as highly.

I went there yesterday, it was a little crowded but I didnt mind looking for a table. It took a bit of time to get my food ready, but since I was with company I didnt mind. I LOVED it. The burger was absolutely delicious and I will definitely come back here again. Too bad I live far and was just visiting a friend. I definitely recommend this place.

We loved the food. So fresh and at high quality. I had a delicious crab soup and tasty rockfish fish and chips. My sons kiddie sirloin was flame broiled to perfection and a great thick cut. We were in town from DC and taking the hour trip just to go makes more and more sense every day. The ownership is attentive and proud, for good reason.

This is a fairly new spot... but Ive been four times. The menu has a bunch of tweaks on classic grille items (i.e. burgers, steaks, seafood, subs, etc). The workers are friendly and professional (important to me). The place is clean, the prices are reasonable, and the food is really good. Ill be going back for more.

This place knows how its done. The salads are incredibly fresh, the beer battered rockfish is golden and delicious, and the mini crab cakes are broiled to perfection. If youre looking for a quick and delicious meal, put down your burger and get over to this place. You will not regret it.

Food tastes great however the portion size "at least for the fish and chips" have gotten A LOT smaller. We used to make the 35 minute trip because of the great taste and the filling portions. I hate to say that it isnt worth the trip now.

Great cream of crab soup and the staff was real nice. Tried shrimp and chicken breast pasta and the Rachael sandwich, two popular items and they were mediocre we thought. Place is nice and very busy and certainly worth a try.

Ate there this weekend. Had their special.. Spicy Meatloaf... yum! Usually visit their place in Bowie, but was in the area. Great food, cozy interior. Save room for dessert, they have some serious desserts there too.

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat while traveling through. Was really surprised how good the seafood is. Finished it off with some great pie. Would definitely recommend and will stop by next time I am in the area.

Really surprisingly good food. Everyone in my group enjoyed what they got and the staff were all friendly. And I got to finish it off with a yummy Key lime pie.

The food and service are both great, but the food is overpriced. I hope that the restaurant doesnt one day overprice itself.

Expensive & inconsistent! Great crab soup (R&W), chicken & shrimp pasta, caprice salad. Forget fried clams.
